Gail, I hope Hannah has a wonderful 18th birthday party, I'm sure you will do her proud.
Looking after dogs can be a tiring as looking after children Judy (Heidi, I know they are children but they are harder work especially a puppy whilst trying to house train them) I don't get much done while looking out for the pup.

Evening all,
Gail, hope the news about Bill and Bro continues to be good... Good luck with the party!!

Judy, I soooo empathise with you right now. My biggest fear through all of our latest stuff is that I would end up raising my grandchild...

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself. Today should be a quiet day at school. It is the end-of-year trip for my grade so 100 kids are going. Of the 250 staying back, a lot will just stay home. Hopefully the ones who come will get some work done.

Phew, seems fixed, at least for now. After my last post I lost the internet and couldn't get it back, hubby's connection is fine. (???)

Tami, I thought school went through to June? Have I got it all messed up?

Theresa, I can't imagine living somewhere that gets so cold! I'm a whimp and couldn't handle that. I also can't imagine the heating costs. It must make my power bill seem really cheap. I have a knitted blanket over my legs and the heater on one bar and I'm all snuggly - that's about as cold as I like it.

Heidi, my azalea died while I was off with mum. Nobody watered it while I was gone and the kind I had loves it's water.

Grrrr.... Dana is getting text messages and facebook messages asking if she is 9gagger. A bit of googling and we now know what that means, but how did they get her number? And why are they texting her? Bit of a worry that there is something out there directing people to her...

"The Hills are rocking with loud thumping music" Hope the party is in full swing and Hannah is enjoying her 18th birthday party.
After many hours I finally got part of the family tree updated and I have printed and posted a copy to Ken's cousin. I had so much info that had to be checked before adding to the computer.
Made a big pot of soup tonight so I will have to find room to fit it in the fridge.

Judy, enjoy having your daughter at home. Not easy, especially if you have not had them in the house for some time.
Suzy, how lovely that you got to shop by yourself. I enjoy it when I have time to browse.
I sent another card to Mamacita today. I do hope she will soon be off the respirator.
Lots of hugs for you all as I know that you all need them.

June, I thought for a moment that you had a neighbour having a party. There is a neighbourhood party going on here, but the bass is down low so all is cool.

I hope you find room in your fridge. Mine would be hard right now.

Hello again. I didn't mean to complain about life - it's really pretty good, I'm just not used to having extra folks in my house, and I think I'm getting old and grumpy ... ! Anyway, I stopped off at the cake shop and cheered myself up with something shamefully delicious. And the dog was cute and snuggly, so all was good. :)

I did something stupid. On Wednesday, I was suffering from sleep deprivation and didn't drive to Pain Management for a new 'script for my pain meds. It's an hour each way and I was unsure about doing it. I am now out of pain meds and can't get more for 4 more days. My back is killing me! Major spasms and I can't straighten up or get comfortable. I have to leave for the dentist's in an hour, and have no idea how I'm gonna remain still in the chair. Fortunately, it's only a cleaning.

Heidi, it is bad when one hurts to much to drive to get their prescription for pain meds. Wish I could hand you something over the puter to get you through the next 4 days. Want to borrow my TENS unit? hope you figure some way to ease the pain while you wait. Try to take it easy, find something for distraction. how about a 4 day marathon of comedy movies? Laughter is the best medicine, they say. heck, if I were closer, I would have come and drove you to get the script. Noone should have to hurt cause of bureaucratic bull sh*t.

I need to phone doc today for apointment, so I can get a new prescription myself. I am not going to make it to next scheduled appointment without running out. I think I have done good, made what he considered a one month supply last for 2 months. Of course this is not a medication that you can just phone doc office for a refill. Like Heidi, I must turn up in person, speak face to face with doc, to get another. At least it is not an hour drive, more like 20 minutes.

SUZY, I never did get this computer keyboard to accept the keystrokes for copy and paste. I do think I know the problem. this is a GATEWAY keyboard. Gateway is very proprietary, Gateway components do not play well with others. I should go out and choose another keyboard and see if that will solve my problem.

I am also on my way to solving my medicare insurance problem. I had received help from the state paying premium and deductibles, because of low income status. No one told me I had to re-apply every year. A representative from my insurance co phoned yesterday, she filled out all the information she could, highlighted those parts I will have to fill out and sign and has put it into the mail to me. I will have to pay my own premium and deductibles for a few months, while government wheels slowly turn, but should have this restored in 2 or 3 months. YEAH. she asked me why I had not phoned customer service at insurance, when this first happened. I HAD, and no one seemed to know the answer at that time. glad they found it hehehe.

I am off to hunt information, see who can help me with fair market value of this mobile. wish me luck, I want to get this back to EP soonest. Hugs to each of you, with extras.

The drive to and from the dentist's was awful. When I got home I fell asleep for 5 hours. The back is survivable right now. The dentist congratulated me on my healthy gums, but I'm about to lose my lone remaining tooth. This is the tooth that instigated the numb tongue incident (it's still numb on the tip only) and I've asked for a particular type of numbing which will not numb the tongue again. It's called an x-tip, and it requires drilling a tiny hole through the bone to the base of the root. It numbs the tooth only and works instantly.

Hi all. It is Friday and I am thankful.

Suzy, school ends the first week of June. 7th grade went today as they wanted to go to Busch Gardens and today is the only day they could get. That means for the next 6 weeks we have nothing to hold over their heads.

Heidi, I hope you can hold out. I wish I was close enough to drive you.

Heidi, unfortunately most of them don't care. I teach in an area where it is not cool to be smart. There role models are basketball players and rappers. They are all convinced that they will be the next Lebron James or Dwyane Wade.

Here is the latest Mamacita update from Michella

"Hi Tami. Mom had a good day. She is still walking and trying to take care of herself. The process is not a linear one so it is hard to tell where she is exactly. Her spirits are good and she looks great."

Good morning all (only just morning)
Great news about Mama, was only wondering earlier today.
Happy that all seems OK with Gail's Dad and brother.
Judy - I had my son and Emily living here for 6 weeks, 3 of them we were in Tassie, admittedly - but much as it was nice to have such close contact with them we were relieved when they left. But I think Emily missed us terribly for a week or so.

Have had internet connections troubles for the last few days. Seems to be our wireless router. We bought a wireless printer during the week and I think the router must be on it's way out. It must be 4 years old. Nothing is built to last, is it??

For the first time in my life, I have a Plantar wart. Never had any kind of a wart before. Instead of going to the Doc's, the chemist stocks an applicator to freeze it yourself. So Col has applied that this morning on my foot, but it could take up to 3 applications, 2 weeks apart to fix. Oh the joy!

Our weather took a cold turn a few days ago and now it's raining - and we have to go out and vote - Council elections. So the day gets better!!
On a brighter note, we bought timber blinds for most of our windows recently and a Roman blind for the kitchen. Col is fitting some today - at last. I can finally throw away the lace (there I said it!) curtains. WooHoo!!

Just popping in to say hi as I have to go buy some stuff to try to make a dress fit over Alie's b00bs. I don't know where they got them from, but both of my girls have 'generous b0s0ms'. This is an op shop dress to wear at their performance of Skid Row on Monday. We'll have to look for one that fits a bit better for the actual show...

Okay, where is everyone?

Gail, I'm glad you survived the party. I hope it was a blast for Hannah!

Tami, I don't suppose a smaller, less expensive outing could be planned to blackmail them with? 6 weeks is a long time with challenging students.

The news about Mama is good. I didn't know she was able to get around at all so that was a relief. She's a tough one! I hope she feels our vibes and thoughts... I mailed her a card from Moulamein and mail from there is unbearably slow, I hope she has it!

Heidi, I hope you make it the 4 days without too much pain - she says knowing she is dreaming...

Gail, there isn't supposed to be any hormones in chicken, but it is in beef! Go figure.

We always bought hormone free chicken in the US - it was labelled, here i thought we were safe until Cyn told me about her deliveries.

I have some important bowls games coming up in the next few weeks so decided I needed some more time on the greens. The men play on Saturday but we can play mixed so I played today (there were two other ladies) and had a really good game.
So pleased with the news about Mamacita. It does sound as though she still has a way to go though.
Heidi, wish I lived close as I have some Endone here you could have (it was for Sharon). Please take it easy so you do not exacerbate the pain.
Hope all going well with your family Gail.
Suzy, you need dresses made with stretch fabric. Sorry to hear about Hubbies nephew.
Must go and heat up some of that soup I made yesterday, a nice easy dinner.

June, I'm glad you had a good game, and seemed to have a good time playing it too.

Alie won't wear stretch clothes - anything that clings is a big no no to her.
