Had planned on a working be here today.. suppose I could start on the kitchen.. with the colder weather apon us I really need to clear out the lounge and dining room.. those areas are easier to heat and also better insullated. Fancy sitting in front of an open fire on my birthday.. glass of bubbles in hand..

It is a BIG job so if you aren't done with swearing Broni would you like to come lend a hand?

Off to see what I can do about the wiring for the speakers.. a very helpful puppy sent the wire the same way as the vacuum cleaner lead.. had a good excuse for not vacuuming for a whil but it has now been fixed. I always work best to music so I think that is a good idea.

Gail.. I am in the need of Yum Cha.. are you free / interested on wednesday?

Broni a widdle fire is probably what I need...

Don't remind me Gail... need to book myself in as well...if you've ever suffered severe mastitis then you will find it a breeze.. comparatively speaking it is and I am super sensitive. Everything is relative.. that is unless you are referring to having the other end checked out... such fun getting older..

Bit was a busy Monday. Visited MIL (do that most Mondays) then bought some wholesale meat. That is now in the freezer.
big day tomorrow. Our President is away so I have to do all the announcements etc. I am also playing in the second round of our singles competition (Bye in the first).
Wednesday I have a hair appointment followed by a two hour dental appointment. I lost some filling last year from a tooth that had root canal about 10 years ago. I will be getting it capped.
my calendar for May does not have many free days.
I must also start contacting people about Rolanda's visit to Sydney.

Morning friends, I am up and about, ffuts to do today. the sloshy thing is cleaning my sheets, today is a good day to hang them out, sunny breezy and humidity not at 100 % today. OH, I did clear the clog in the drain lines, first real test today and the washer did not overflow when emptying. No longer chained to the machine so I can stop it if it pumped water faster than the slow drain could handle, what a relief.

I have paperwork to do for for my retirement apartment folks, and more to do for my state assistance with insurance premiums. I have part ready to go in mail today. need to make a phone call to check on a couple things fore I mail it. One needs a secretary to keep up with all the government requires.

Enjoying the pumpkin muffins at breakfast. Muffin and fruit makes a filling meal.

TAMI, thanks for the coffee. It would be hard to get my morning going without coffee.

BRONI, hope your work week goes well, with no surprises.

JUNE, does it feel good to know you have meat in the freezer, you can whip up a meal easily when there is need. I buy meat when it is on sale, and try to buy enough to last till it is on sale again. That is usually boneless chicken breast, pork tenderloin, cut into chops or small roasts. Turkey and ham at holidays. Of course there is ground venison and chopped steak, that is bought once a year. I go "shopping" in my freezer. OH, I will be able to keep my freezer at Joy's new house, we both can use it for buying in bulk, and she can deliver what I need when she visits, or I can run over and pick up, will be closer and easier than where we both are located now. Huuuumm, I suppose i should think of defrosting that freezer soon, it is about time again. Will definitely need doing fore I move.

JUNE, you do sound booked steady this coming week. Perhaps you need to pencil in some down time.

Gail, Bean, Broni, now which of you is the pyromaniac? all three?? Just a widdle fire hehehe. I think I told you of the fire I had that encouraged hubby to put a ban on my burning?? I kept a seperate trash bin for papers to burn. somehow an empty half gallon plastic bottle that once held fine Canadian whisky got into the paper ben. Noone seems to know how that happened. I dumped the bin into the burn barrel, lit it and retired to the porch to keep an eye on it as it burned. there was a huge KABOOM, the barrel jumped up and settled in 2 parts, sitting askew on the bricks that were it's support. seems there were enough fumes in that bottle, that when heated, exploded. Although I asked, begged even, for another burn barrel, I never got one. It was just a widdle explosion hehehe.

Heidi, I hope you are out and picking up your script for your methadone. You should remember what this weekend was like, and find someone to drive you if ever you cannot drive yourself to pick up that script. we do not want a repeat of this. man, I hurt just thinking of you without medication.

OK, I am out of here. Time to p

Morning Theresa, morning Suzanne. sorry to hear about your allergies, Suzanne, everything I hear says this is a bad year for them. I think the privet hedge that bothers me so is about to finish blooming. I was out hanging the sheets, and didnot smell the sick sweet smell they produce. it is a good thing, would not be good to bring in pollen on my sheets and have to sleep with it, YUCK. Get well soon Suzanne.

Theresa, good to see you pop in if only to say Morning. Not even good morning?? Yep, we all have days like that, all we can do is acknowledge that it is indeed morning. Hope your day improves as it goes along. Hugs and extras to you, just seems you need that today.

I will pop back in later, you never know when, so consider yourself warned hehehe

((((( HUGS ))))) from me, too, Theresa.

I got my meds earlier (the back feels MUCH better now) on the way to rescue Robert again. His car blew a gasket about half an hour from here, and he didn't want to pay for towing, so I grabbed my tow strap and towed him to the repair shop. Then I brought him back here to pick up his motorcycle. Much to my surprise, I arrived home to loose dogs running around. IH had been home and hadn't secured the front gate. Fortunately, the dogs do come when I call them. I then came inside and discovered a note from IH saying he'll be gone for a few days. I'm now relaxing and watching movies undisturbed.
I want a QUIET day one of these days.

Heidi, we would take any overabundance of rain you might have. It is getting kind of dry here. I must remember to water flowers before it gets to uncomfortably hot outside. But you can keep the storms, do not need those, thank you.

TAMI, I am still enjoying the morning coffee, second huge mug. Nothing like a good cup of coffee.

GAIL, happy to hear that bill is home now. I hope the hemoglobin levels continue back toward normal.

Hi Bean, hope you can have happier thoughts as your day progresses. Anniversaries of all kinds are difficult after a loss, and the loss of a marriage does count.

HEIDI, good to hear your back is better now you have your medications again. What would Robert do without you to rescue him, you have done just that so many times that I am aware of. You are a good and loyal friend.

I had a long chat with oldest daughter. she phones me when she is driving to grandson's school, about a 40 minute drive. they have different outings, helping acclimate him to things he must deal with in real life. Today he will go and order fries at his favorite fast food restaurant, but must take them to auto and wait to eat them. this can be difficult for an autistic child.

My granddaughter is about to drive her mother a bit crazy. GD is expecting first child in 2 months, and not the easiest to deal with now. In her mind she thought she would have a completely finished, functioning nursery by now. they are recently in a new house, she is working 60 hour weeks to pay for said nursery. She goes shopping and is overwhelmed with all the choices, so she makes none, and then is upset that nothing is finished. I am glad I am not dealing with a pregnant daughter at the moment hehehe.

Hugs to each of you, with extras. I will return.

We had a glimpse of the sun yesterday, back to rain and cold again. Yesterday was the only day, since our hosepipe ban was introduced at the beginning of April, that it hasn't rained. Though I do believe it rained late at night. We are still on water restrictions and have a lot of flooding too.
I read somewhere that Australia is now out of drought.

Tired. Very tired. But the fence is in place, tho' not firmly attached yet. It's hard to get work done when Robert is on the cell phone every 15 minutes. He got bad news. The engine burned out in his Jimmy. He still owes a lot on it, and the repair cost will be the same amount as the payments he owes. He can't just stop paying for it and let them repossess it, because they'd take him to court for the balance and the repairs, and he wouldn't have transportation then. So I'll have to lend him the money to have a new engine put in. At least he'll end up with a good reliable Jimmy after that. The poor guy owes me so much already (and I've blown off most of it) that he says he'll have to work for me the rest of his life. Robert, as I told him, does not have bad luck with vehicles. His luck is on a biblical scale of disaster.
