Hi SA folks. Hope all is well with all of you and those who have some health or personal problems will see them resolved quickly.

Morning all. Won the bowls yesterday but playing singles is very tiring and my back is not very happy! The other problem is I now have to play the next round but not for two weeks.
Off to the hairdresser soon then the dentist. Thinking I may be getting a bit of a cold which is not good when I have to have that metal jaw opener in and I cannot cough, swallow etc. I do not mind going but I do detest that contraption. (for when he removes the old filling and has to make the impression for the porcelain cap I am having).

Hi all. Have to go sew a pair of pants for Dylan. He has a concert tomorrow morning and his uniform pants have a hole in them. I love how he waits for the last minute to tell me. See you all in the morning.

I never wanted to get married on my birthday and tried hard to organise things for any day other than the 2nd.. obviously without success. B'day is consequently a bitter sweet affair these days..

I went to a bank today to get copies of mum's death certificate certified. The person who served me was an old friend of mum's who didn't know she had died. :(

I want to comment on everyone's posts but I've had a rotten day and my brain isn't working.

I got a couple of sets of paperwork in the mail today that were tough, and on top of that I found out that the executor had gone behind my back to try to cut me out of the loop. It's the second thing she's done that suggests she doesn't trust me. I sent her an email telling her that her actions were not 'appropriate'. I haven't heard back from her. She'll probably go behind my back for that too.

June, I hope your jaw isn't aching too badly.

But were you the person legally required to get them Rolanda? I got them (legally required, as I had told the executor when she'd asked about them) along with a copy of the email she had sent them asking them to send them to her instead.

We are having 'issues' here.. and not being kept up to date as to what the status of the Probate, and other things that have been going on..

Who is your executor Rolanda? A family member or someone paid? If it's someone paid, you could report them to the appropriate authority... Don't know if you can report a family member.

Suzy and Rolanda, sorry to hear you are having problems with the executors of your mom's estate. I don't think I will have any problems when the time comes. My older brother was listed as executor of my parents wills and I have no problem with that. When the time comes, he can do all the work.

Family Member

Hi all, trip to the dentist was not too bad. No sore anything. Did not have to have an injection. Go back in two weeks to have the temp. filling removed and the new one put in. It has got rid of the old amalgam filling and my 'new' filling is colour matched to the rest of my 'good' teeth.

My sister was here for dinner (her hubby is overseas). We had fish and vegetables, and creme brulee for desert.
Ken is the executor for Sharon. Her partner is not very happy but he is told all that is being done.
Suzy, is this person a solicitor or a friend of your Mum's? Common courtesy, she should keep you informed of progress (or is she jealous?)

Trip to the dentist today and sore gums but no needles (did I ever tell you I hate needles?)

June, she is a cousin. She has not told me anything about progress, which hasn't actually bothered me. What has bothered me is her acting as if I'm stealing from the estate or something - though I have no access to anything!! It's all 10 hours from here...

Sorry I'm complaining. This isn't the first time she's done something that implies I'm not to be trusted, but today it was combined with receiving paperwork that was hard on it's own so I got all self pitying....

Feeling very rough today, don't know why. I slept on and off all day yesterday. Eventually went to bed at 9:30 last night and slept through till 2:15am when I had to get up for a trip to the smallest room in the house. Went back to bed and slept again until 10am, when I had to get up to see to the puppy, the other two dogs were quite happy to sleep with me.

Oops...

Brenda, I hope whatever is ailing you is gone before you can even say whether it has or it hasn't...

((HUGS)) Suzy, I hope everything gets sorted quickly so that you do not have to put up with that sort of, if not accusation then innuendo, for very long.
That is one reason why we have our solicitors as our executors. I am dreading anything happening to my friend Celia as she has appointed me and Richard as executers of her will. I can foresee plenty of problems as she made her will when she was estranged from her son and she has cut him out of her will completely in fact she has cut all her family out. Now she is in touch again I keep trying to get her to up date her will.

Brenda, there won't be the same problems as you will not accuse or imply dishonesty where it isn't warranted. I hope she does update her will though. Mum had said she wasn't going to leave anything to one of my brothers. We had a discussion a loooong time ago about whether or not she had a will. I said that if she died without one I would split things 3 ways and just give his third to his kids. She included him in the end. He didn't deserve it, but...

Suzy, if your brother had not been included he could have contested and then the solicitors would have got it all! As a beneficiary you have the right to see all her paperwork, costs etc when everything is finalised. Maybe if you asked a few questions that implied that you will be checking all her figures very carefully. Just nicely ask if "she is keeping all details of expenses etc as you do appreciate what she is doing on behalf of your Mother"

Morning friends, enjoying that first up of coffee here, always the best on of the day. another hot day in store, no rain in sight, and we could use a bit of rain. Must heck flowers, is it already "water every day" time? with heat and wind, and as plants grow, water is used up quickly.

Rolanda and Suzy, so sorry you are having issues with executor of your Mom's estates. I hope they are resolved favorably soonest.

I woke early, found I was drenched in sweat, and house was not hot. I was covered well, perhaps why? took my "empty stomach" med and back to bed. second time I woke, again, all sweaty, not as bad, but still. Now it has happened again just sitting here. I am having my own personal weather system I believe. shower here I come!
