It finally lets me in and I don't have time to read!

Off to have the facial hubby gave me for Xmas..

I've just finished making a whole bunch of flowers for Little Shop of Horrors for the school. I figure they'll be okay on a stage... hope they appreciate the time I spent. Okay, I know they won't, but I'll know! Picture on that other page, I'll put one on here when I have time to resize it.

I am not allowed to say this on FB but I can say it here. I just found out that my oldest niece is in labor. I am going to be a great-aunt at any moment. I don't know when I will see the baby, as they live in NY, but I think they are planning to come to Florida in August.

Alie isn't ready yet so I'm starting to read.

Gail, Hannah's day sounds like so much fun! Did they break the record? I hope you have photos!!

MizT, your car sounds wonderful. Photos of that too please!

Okay, time to go, guess I'll finish reading later.

Good morning all - had such a busy day yesterday that I didn't even get a chance to look in here. And, as usually happens when I don't, there was lots going on here.
Theresa - big cyber-hugs to you. You've been going through a lot over the past few years culminating in this news. I do feel for you. There has been some good advice here, especially the counselling which may help as long as you both want it to.
Next, MizT's suggestion about the lawyer. Find out your rights before doing anything. I don't know what the situation is there, but here we can get free legal advice and only have to pay if we require anything done.
I'm pleased that even though you understandably needed a few cigs that you don't have the craving for them. Keep in mind what an expensive habit it is.
We're all here for you.

Cigarettes are VERY expensive. I quit when I had that epiphany. I woke up one morning and realized that I was spending more money on cigarettes than I was on dog food. And I had 24 collies at the time!

Heidi, I hope you get some relief for that leg pain.
Tami - I loved that third quote about the orangutans.

It is 6 years today since my lovely Dad passed away. I still miss him.
And it's Mother's Day next Sunday, so sometime this week I'll get some roses from my sister's garden (she is away) and place them on my parent's memorial.

Suzy, I have not found the camera that has the card I know how to download to omputer. computer has a card reader. I do not know how to get a pix from my phone to computer. IF I find the camera, it was somewhere in Al's office and that has been dismantled, I will take one for you.

to all in Sudokuland! I hope all of you are well and have a good day, evening, or night!

Gail thank you for the updated photos! You and hubby have made good progress!

Tami, thank you for checking in on Heidi! It is a relief to know that things are better today and that she will see her doctor tomorrow!

Theresa, I echo Tami's support for you! We are essentially ears for listening, shoulders for supporting and absorbing any tears and arms for hugging. Share as much and as often as you like. It seems like you have felt lonely for far too long. We care!

Theresa, there's more good advice from Broni! Somehow you need to find the time and energy to take care of yourself. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

Your D's suggestion to try counseling is a good suggestion. When I think of all you and your hubby have dealt with just since we've known you, I think the circumstances would likely have driven any of us to the decision you're considering. Your saying that you are very tired/exhausted says a lot. I imagine both of you are exhausted/spent/have nothing left for yourselves. Is there any way you can get even a day or two away - somewhere quiet where you can sleep and rejuvenate? It could make a difference!

Here is a quote from Willie Nelson: When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.

Nola, good for you for getting through the shift! Each new shift will be easier! You can do it! (See the quote below.)

Another quote, this time from Osho: “Drop the idea of becoming someone, because you are already a masterpiece. You cannot be improved. You have only to come to it, to know it, to realize it."

Theresa, I'm so very sorry to hear your news. Not just the news, but the reason behind the news. I hope he got the earful he deserved over missing the birthday dinner!! Big hugs and lots of big ears here for listening...

Nola, congratulations on making it through your first evening shift as an EEN!!! That is huge! I hope you gave yourself a pat on the back along with the thoughts on how you think you can improve.

Julie, most impressed by the news of your grandchildren's (???) concert! I bet you were proud..

MizT, I hope you find the camera and the card. I don't know what I'd do without mine! For now I guess I could just google to find a photo of a generic one...should have thought of that earlier!

Theresa, I prescribe a facial! The expensive kind that come with Indian head massages and foot massages and polish on hands and feet... That's what I just had. Of course, if I'd known about the head massage bit I might not have planned to meet people in town afterwards - I look like I've had a very bad gel job and haven't combed my hair in a week!!! Other than that is was blissful and just what the doctor ordered, or would have if he'd thought of it.

Tami, you found some great quotes for the TOPP. I hope Theresa got a chuckle from at least one. I know I did (the orangutan, if you couldn't guess)!

Suzy, you are fantastic! I'm sure the flowers you made will look TERRIFIC from the audience! Enjoy your WELL-deserved facial.

Theresa, that gives me an idea. If you can't get away for a day or two, can you pamper yourself - possibly a facial or massage or manicure or pedicure?

Tami, what exciting news! Do they know if it's a boy or girl? Though I'm sure you will want to hold the new baby sooner, rather than later, at least there's hope tp see the new family this summer!

Cyn, you've offered some more good advice for Theresa! Thinking of you and hoping you have wonderful memories of your Dad to sustain you! {{{HUGS}}}

Looks like I may be able to have a much earlier bedtime tonight than I had last night. (Thank goodness!) Warm, positive thoughts for each of you, with healing vibes, prayers, and big bear {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}

Well, that was just plain weird! I had copied my comment before submitting when suddenly the page went to a youtube about cello vibrato. I have looked at a few, but not for several days. HOW did that happen? Luckily, I had saved the comment!

And now, Good Night to all!

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

No news on the new baby yet. Told Sister-in-law to wake us up, we didn't care. Do not know if it is a boy or girl. The parents were not sure if they were going to find out. If they did, they didn't share. A new baby is a blessing, whether a boy or girl. As long as it is healthy. Will post when I hear.

Julie, I have had different screens pop up for no apparent reason. If you hit the "control" and then certain letters, it changes. I know ctrl/h will bring up the history. I do it a lot on the laptop.

Snap, Brenda - I just came here for the same reason. I was just about to close down and read Suzy's comment. Hope you get in soon, Suzy.
What's the 'Maryann' thingy? Did I miss something?
You WA and Vic people are lucky - possibly getting a visit from Mo in October.

I was spared the pm from Maryann. I usually get those, so I can consider myself lucky.

The leg is still behaving itself. I will call the surgeon's office once I wake up fully, anyway, because I promised to.
