We have had a lovely day. We went to the same winery/restaurant that the Sudoku group went to last year, Riverstone Winery at Coldstream...lovely.
Then we went to Warburton to go to our favouritest hippy clothing shop and hubby bought his usual two 'blankies' as he calls them, big Nepalese jackets, veeery warm, and I scored a couple of things too...after all, can't say no to hubby if he selects them for me, it is his birthday after all!

Midge, you certainly could have planned that better! It was better for us when we were in the US and Father's Day was in June. I now have to think of gifts for hubby in September October and December! The others are February and June - 2 in February now!

MizT, bugger bugger bum!! How hard can it be to find the source of a leak? Maybe you will end up with a better place. I hope so.

Cyn, I never drink at lunch time. I'd need a place to curl up and sleep if I did..

I just chipped my tooth on a biscuit! And I can't even go to the dentist tomorrow as I've been called in to work! Yay - I got another day of work - boo, that rough edge will be there for at least another day. Thank goodness it's on the inside so it won't show!

Warning, vent.

The people who usually do Carols in the Park aren't going to do it anymore and have passed it on to a friend of theirs. Alie agreed to do Carols on the condition that she learnt the songs from her usual singing teacher and only went to the group rehearsals in the park just before Carols. (She doesn't think much of the lady who has taken over.)

I've had 4 emails from this lady. Alie has gone from 4 solos to 6 and every email asks her to go to the rehearsals. That was bad enough, but I found out today that she charges $6 each for these so she's on a money making rampage which kind of defeats the purpose of Carols and volunteering.

Venting helps! I answered her last email...

I'm not sure why you need to talk to her E, the 6 songs are fine, she'll get a CD from Emily and practice them with her. She can go to rehearsals later in the year, same as she has done for the last few years.

Gail, please wish Scott a belated Happy Birthday. Nice to read that you both enjoyed the day.
Nola, have been worrying about you and Judy. I know how hard the situation is without a staff member making things worse.
Tricia, hope they soon find that leak!
Suzy, I think everyone has expressed what we all feel about A's friend.Hope she is soon able to replace him with someone nice.
Bean, get well soon The same for anyone else who is sick.
Thanks to all who have commented on the Birthday cake. It was a chocolate g'nash (?)and very yummy. It was a friend of Belinda's from school who makes them and only charged her about half price. I have ben able to remove the dogs and hope to be able to use them again.

So, for most of my life I had a -A cup size. I remember going to Victoria's Secret and trying on bra after bra after bra and ending up in tears because none of them fitted me. So how did I end up with a daughter who is 10DD??? It just isn't fair. She'd love to be smaller, if only we could have shared!

Morning.

Suzy, my situation is the same. I am a bigger person, but not up there. It is hard to find larger bra sizes with a smaller cup. But my daughter .... where did it all come from? Maybe it skips a generation????

I think I will go back to bed for a nap. I woke up feeling kind of groggy (like I had had a drink with Cyn and ate too much) and I just can't shake it. It feels like I need a bit more sleep, so that's exactly what I'm going to try. I will hopefully be back later to finish reading.

Suzy.... I am a DD and have a sister with an A. Mother was a D. I have no idea what happened, only that the sister with the A has the happiest home life. I wish I was smaller, like a C, again, so I could wear halter tops braless, but it ain't gonna happen. Big isn't always better. You're lucky being smaller.

Hi all. Home from work and enjoying the conversation. I am also 'lucky' enough to be well endowed. I did have a really funny experience. I used to sell lingerie. One year we got this brand new collection of push-up bras. One of the regional store managers was in, before store hours. She asked me if I had the chance to try them on yet. I answered her that they did not make them big enough for me. The male manager standing nearby almost fell over laughing. At the time I had a small back but was a DD cup. I now have a bigger back and a DDD cup. At least my hubby is happy

Had a productive day working on fences with Robert. We're starting on a section in the woods that the cows keep tearing down, and trees keep falling on. Today we started at the end that the cows destroy, and installed a gate there. We got several holes dug and set posts in concrete, besides taking up the old wire in that corner. It's a good start to the job. Unfortunately, Robert will have to dig most of these holes by hand. There are too many tree roots to let us use the auger.

Julie, I like having the PIA's. Some of them are really good kids just not motivated. Hopefully I can motivate them. If they finish their work, they get out of my class and get normal elective.

Tami, it's hard to believe another school year has started. And with what you've got going on after school, it's going to be a busy and stressful time for you. Take care of yourself, young lady!

I've felt groggy and kind of dizzy and headachey all day ... I guess just feeling out of sorts. I didn't get much done today. I am hoping to have the porch cleaned out by this weekend and open it up to the cats. There is a couch out there, a wardrobe where I keep off season coats, and the rest is storage containers. I will cover the storage containers with comforters and comforters on the couch, and with two of the dozen or so windows that open up, they will have a great time sitting there watching the birds and squirrels.

Well, off to scoop the litter. Oh, what fun. Then I guess I should do the dishes. I slept about 8 hours last night and then another 3 hours this morning for a nap, and I am tired again. Maybe I'm coming down with something .....

Here are the top nine comments (so far) made by NBC sports commentators (Some English??) during the London Summer Olympics that they might like to take back:

1. Weightlifting commentator: 'This is Gregoriava from Bulgaria . I saw her snatch this morning during her warm up and it was amazing.'

2. Dressage commentator: 'This is really a lovely horse and I speak from personal experience since I once mounted her mother.'

3. Paul Hamm, Gymnast: 'I owe a lot to my parents, especially my mother and father.'

4. Boxing Analyst: 'Sure there have been injuries, and even some deaths in boxing, but none of them really that serious.'

5. Softball announcer: 'If history repeats itself, I should think we can expect the same thing again.'

6. Basketball analyst: 'He dribbles a lot and the opposition doesn't like it. In fact you can see it all over their faces.'

7. At the rowing medal ceremony: 'Ah, isn't that nice, the wife of the IOC president is hugging the cox of the British crew.'

8. Soccer commentator: 'Julian Dicks is everywhere. It's like they've got eleven Dicks on the field.'

9. Tennis commentator: 'One of the reasons Andy is playing so well is that, before the final round, his wife takes out his balls and kisses them... Oh my God, what have I just said?'

Heidi, into every life a little rain must fall.

BTW, Snookums' owners came by this evening to take her home. They just live on the other side of the street a few doors down. They are fairly new to the neighbourhood and I did not know they had a cat. Snookums is actually Shadow. They did not know that I feed cats outside, so Shadow had been well fed. If she comes back, I will know where to bring her. Apparently she got out the bedroom window.

G'afternoon friends..
Theresa maybe that is what I need to clear my sinuses. You described the way I feel. Fingers crossed everyone that this bug doesn't continue south to my lungs. Coughing now .. don't have a good record throwing off chest infections. Otherwise all is good on the home front..

And quiet.. have just brought out the anti bark muzzles. I'll take them off when I go out to hang out the wash.. that is about as energetic as I'm getting today. Sun is shining and hopefully the quagmire at the end of the yard isn't too slushy.

I suspect I'll be peeling veges while watching Ready Steady Cook.. hate throwing good food out because I've forgotten its in the fridge..

Theresa thanks for sharing the bloopers.. I hadn't heard them. In fact I missed all of the olympics. Not sure how that happened.

Suzy that womans money making exploitation stinks.. I wonder how many people are she is exploiting everyone like that? So much for volunteering and the season of good will!

Good TOPP Gail..I will never grow old.. my bits and pieces may wear out though..

yep.. mesh underside for under the jaw and adjustable velcro over the top of the nose.. adjust so they can still open their mouth enough to drink, pant or eat kibble from my hand. Not wide enough so they can open wide and make a noise. They have a clip behind their ears. I think if they tried they could also remove them but they have worked out WHY they are wearing them and just lie down and go to sleep until I remove them. I hate using them. Wouldn't leave them on them unattended tho.

Hi, Everyone! Just home from a meeting and need to be out the door by 7 a.m. tomorrow. We will puppy-sit our D and SIL's new puppy while both of them need to be at work, followed by a cello lesson, and then acupuncture. Sooo, without taking time to read or comment, I'm heading to bed early tonight to be ready for our big day.

Thinking of all of you and sending lots of {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, healthy vibes, , prayers and positive thoughts! Good Night!

I prefer training my dogs to obey me. I can't imagine having the poor things wear muzzles. They bark to let me know something is happening. Usually they're quiet unless the cats are teasing them.

I have, on occasion, had a problem barker surgically debarked. It just lowers the volume to a whisper so neighbors aren't kept awake at night. This way I don't have to get mad and the dog doesn't get ordered around a lot, while it can bark to it's heart's content.

You are skating quite close to said limit...

Arm, leg and first born (hoping we can negotiate about which child we have to shed), but it is extremely durable, which is necessary in the areas to be done, and can be sanded and repolished when needed.

Afternoon all,
Coffee is a great colour Gail! I imagined it much darker, but it's a middle of the road colour.. Very nice.

My dogs can bark, but only if they see or hear something. I kinda like it as it keeps people out of my back yard. If they bark at night I do get up and tell them to settle down, which they do.

Julie, I love puppies! I keep saying we'll never get another one because of the holes they dig, but I succumb whenever there is an empty space.

Theresa, hubby likes to tell a story about our almost-encounter with a skunk while camping. Since it has sound effects you'll have to wait to meet him to hear it...

I'm glad Snookums/Shadow has a nice home. What a little devil!

I love the commentator comments! All of them were those 'wish I could take that back' type comments that we've all made and want to forget... at least we didn't do it on TV!!

If you were living here Theresa, I'd say you've got one of the bugs that are going around. Wrong time of year over your way though.

Tami, I know you will do well with these kids. By the end of the year I fully expect you will have an empty room!!

Back in the day I was wearing size 2 clothes (in the States) but I have a large rib cage so my around the body size was disproportionately large. Add tiny b00bs and I wore stretchy training bras for years! I'm a bit bigger in the bust now that I am overweight, but I'm also bigger around so I'm in exactly the same position only different sizes!!

Think we have changed our minds Rolanda, Sandy is the choice we are leaning towards now, but it's a new colour and is not on that site! It's the new colour in between natural and coffee.
