Gekko and Good Evening, Everyone!

June, what a shame that Glenn was not able to visit Australia while the girls were there! Nice that he was able to arrange to foot the bill.

Tami, good luck to you and Harley to pass the doggy obedience class on the first effort! But reassuring that he can keep going to class until the deed is accomplished!

MizT, how thrilling that Al has tasted something - and it's a cup of coffee! I hope this is an indication that his taste is returning!

Suzanne, here's hoping the 3rd real estate agent is the charm and the right family finds your house!

June, I hope the c___oscopy went well and your first meal afterward was delicious!

Theresa, I'm glad your hubby enjoyed his dinner!

MizT, I like the stories about great donations and the German Shepherd dogs! I don't much care for the opportunists who decided it would be a good yime to take advantage of the destruction in the hopes of padding their own pockets.

Broni, I'm SO glad the party for Pete went well!

Gail, how nice that you were part of Bean's birthday celebration! I hope Liz is soon back to 100%!

If you watch 'Today Tonight' - I usually don't, but I saw the shorts. The little girl under the bus was at our local Woolworths petrol station. The little girl was at the hospital the night we took Alie up there.

Nope, her sister Brenda. She treated me very badly in front of her friends today, hubby ripped strips off her when he saw her, and I got a teary, seemingly genuine apology. The other one threw out sorries as if they were hellos and they meant nothing.

I don't know whether to jump for joy or be upset, my vacuum cleaner is broken. It works, but the mechanism for the handle to shift so I can push the thing around is broken. I'll have to contact the manufacturer to see if that is covered by the lifetime warranty.

Morning all.
Suzy, glad you got a good apology and the car registered. I can do my registration online which makes it so easy.
I wish I could be at the bbq also but I don't think I will be able to make it. I have been fortunate enough to attend one sudoku gathering in Daytona Beach and also to meet Brenda when she came to Florida. I don't think there is any travel in the near future so not sure when I will meet more of my friends.

My nephew is getting married in Ohio this summer. We thought is was going to be during summer break and was hoping to drive to the wedding and make a stop at Surreal Farm. The wedding is early September when school has already started. If we go, we will have to fly up for the weekend, but I don't think we are going. I was really looking forward to seeing Heidi's farm

Thanks for the coffee Tami, I need it this morning. For some unknown reason, I thought it would be good to get the sloshy thing going, grab a shower, check in here and then have coffee. the inevitable happened, the rinse cycle of the sloshy thing started while I was in shower, water pressure greatly reduced, but I got clean

Ahhh, first cup is good. A unseasonably cool start to the day, 45F, or 7C so coffee is more important on a day like this.

Must away to get dressed, hang out clothes. I am in my favorite soft warm terry cloth robe, so nice right out of the shower. Later friends. Hugs to each of you with extras.

Gekko all. Cool morning... I woke up to 40 degree temps. It got down into the 30's last night. At least it's not raining.

Same type of weather here, Heidi. It did rain and it's supposed to rain some more, probably just in time for me to pick up the grandies from the bus.

Hi MizT. We also have reduced pressure in the shower if there is water running in the house, including next door at D's place. It can make a shower challenging at times.

Off to get ffuts done, but all I want to do is crawl under my comforter and get all cozy.

Theresa, climbing under the comforter and getting all cozy sounds like a wonderful idea! I think I will join you, with my own blankie of course hehehe. I have this lovely microfiber, polartec blanket for my bed, it is so warm cause it holds in body heat. Toasty as can be.

Morning all,
Alie is skipping school to do a performance today. I'm not worried because 5 out of 8 periods today were music anyway.. This is the first performance outside of school for the 'band' Forever Archie. They will be on the main street of town and council is apparently paying them to do it. Of course, Alie and one of the other girls have a cold. It's not as bad as it would be with Pride because the band has a folky sound and don't belt out their songs.

Theresa, I'll join you under a comforter, it's cold here this morning. 'Feels like' temp is 5.7C which is cold for here, particularly at this time of year. I hope you didn't get wet waiting for the grandies. You made me think of 3 very young kids I saw walking from the bus stop yesterday. They didn't have to cross a road, but...

Tami, bummer that you will miss the wedding and the trip! Maybe next year. Not the wedding, the trip I mean..

Theresa, I hope your D's appointments went well.

Brenda, bummer about the door - I hope the replacement is delivered on time.

I'm very worried about Nomnom, normally at this time of morning he is driving me mad asking to be fed, but I haven't even seen him yet. I'm hoping he's just locked in a room or something..

Suzy, sending thoughtw and wishes that Nomnom returns safely. I know that waiting for them to return when missing, mine both did it to me. I also hope that he is home safely when you return.

I had that snuggle under my blankie, and although it is only 7 pm, I am about to go back, Running a low grade fever, will keep a watch on it, but at the moment cannot stand the air to touch me, gives me shivers. Hope I am not coming down with something.

Hugs to each of you, with extras, take throughout the day as needed.

Suzy, hope Nomnom is home by now ....

I didn't get too wet waiting for the girls. McDonalds went fine and then hubby treated them to an ice cream cone at a local place called The Dairy Barn. I didn't want any because I was just too cold.

MizT, feel better soon. In our virtual world picture Suzy and I under the blankie with you, one on each side to keep you warm.

Heidi, it must be fascinating to watch baby birds growing in person, You'll have to set up your own nest cam so we can all see it.

MIL just called - one of hubby's uncles died of a heart attack this evening. This uncle and aunt were my favourite - MIL is one of 15 or 16 kids. This family has already lost 2 sons in vehicle accidents over the last 10 years. So sad. Funeral arrangements have not been made yet, but I have a feeling my weekend has been planned out for me.

I am off to bed. I will tell hubby in the morning - he was really tired and went to bed around 8:30.

Still thinking of Nomnom too.

BTW, daughter's hip has been cracking lately, followed by severe pain for hours. This happens every couple of days. The surgeon doesn't know what it is and will investigate further.
