Alie's gig last night went well. They were invited back, which is good. This one is not a paid one, it's an exposure and fun one.

She told the girls about the radio station. Only one of the other mothers was there and she was very excited.

They have been invited to play at a gig in Wollongong that is apparently very hard to get into. I don't know how they managed that. I don't think it is a paid gig either, another one to get your name out there.

The puppy mystery is solved. Pup belongs to another family on road behind us, second nearest. I think it found it's way back home! The young teen across the street told me who's, I was gonna go hunt him up and ask if pup had still been here today! Kids seem to know all the neighbors and all their dogs somehow.

Something last night got into 3 of my trash cans! I have a mess to clean up. I know that pup could not have done this, something big enough to pick up lids and toss them to ground and get into cans without tumping them over. I never put meat scraps in my trash, I walk them to the woods and leave as offerings to the dogs, cause they gonna get them anyway if I put them in the cans. I must have accidentally had some food in cans this time.
should be about cook out there now, perhaps I should go clean it.

OH grass was cut today, yeah! Friend Eddie came on his zero turn mowing toy, he does like playing with that thing. If there was a mower I could operate, that might be it, but they are much too pricey.

Suzy, I don't think I would know what to do with a girl. I am so used to buying boy things, I get lost looking for stuff for my niece

Evening all - spent a relaxing day doing some outside work and nothing much else. Tomorrow it's back to the usual stuff.

Brenda, I saw 3 hummingbirds this afternoon; I've never seen more than one at a time. My Weigela bush is overloaded with pink flowers, my bleeding heart bushes are nearby - both attractions for hummingbirds.

Well, it was milk cartons that seemed to be the attraction! The lids of the gallon plastic jugs were eaten off, all 3 jugs. so, guess I must now wash milk jugs fore tossing them? Pain and bother!! I did not get ALL up, back said no more and I listened. Hopefully tomorrow. I at least got it cleared from the ramp so I can walk in and out.

I think I did just the right amount of flowers this year. I can get them watered before back objects, but barely. Nice when things work out like that

Off to do a few chores and then off to bed. I am tired from doing nothing. If anyone wants to help me scoop the litter box, come on over.

Hi all!
Broni, thanks for the great gathering on Saturday. I had a fabulous time, fell asleep on the couch and when I went to bed, couldn't sleep. At 2:30am I went back to bed because my alarm was set for 7am. I crashed last night and turned my alarm off this morning and rolled over. I woke up one hour later and was latish for work. Oh well.

Heidi, give him a good swift kick from me. Ba$tard. He doesn't deserve you. Maybe you should have a little chat to Pam. That would put the wind up him.

June, I'm glad you had a wonderful time at Mary Poppins. Poor Laura, it's no wonder she is having night time accidents.

Me too, only used to blue things. I find it difficult to buy girlie things and just give my nieces money nowadays.
My youngest niece is flying to the UK tonight. We had a family dinner last night so it was lovely to see her. My oldest niece drove down from Hervey Bay yesterday (3 and a half hours), drove to Ipswich to get Mum (45 mins each way) and then took her home at the end of the night. She is a lovely girl.

Suzy, Alie probably has enough on her plate anyway without an intense boyfriend. Give her a big hug when she gets home, she'll probably need it.

MizT, so glad the puppy has a home to go to. Made my day!

Vicki, I hope you catch up on your sleep tonight..

I'll give her a big hug and tell her again how proud I am of her for doing it the hard way.

Thanks Suzy, I was ok all of yesterday but I think I slept like the dead last night. I know it rained during the night but I didn't hear anyhting else.

James (the tradie) is making Reggie an outdoor day bed. He currently sleeps in a dog bed that has the most revolting, stinky mattress in it. As a result he smells as well. This bed has a dog mattress with a plastic cover and I'll just put some of his dog blankets on it so that they can be taken off and washed.

Good maEn everyone!
Topsiders: Have a good Memorial Day weekend! I am STILL struggling with the idea of selling my inventory! I have A LOT of discontinued product that I would LIKE to put on E-bay, but because of my MK contract, I can't do that...Have to find out HOW to quit my business. Would prefer to scale down, I still have some VERY loyal customers I would love to keep. Any thoughts on that??

MizT, at least they are easier to bathe than cats. Our cats used to hate being washed (mostly to get rid of their fleas).

Suzanne, advertise the discontinued product at a discount to your existing customers. You really only need to get your money back so cost plus 40% to cover the taxes, postage etc.

For your most loyal customers, once your stock has been depleted I would give them the name of a good consultant you know.

I rarely have a problem with dogs smelling, unless they have an incontinence issue. Most of my dogs look sparkling clean, have no doggy odor and have never been bathed. You just need to give them clean bedding.

If you only have a small group of loyal customers, you would find it hard to make the minimum that MK requires. I really don't know how you could manage it.

WOOHOO! Hubby and I have just about finished this room, which BTW I am now back in! We have moved the furniture back in, though we are leaving it at the minimalist stage, none of the cr*ppy stuff or mess is coming back in. All that is left to do is paint the skirtings and door surrounds, but we are waiting till we buy the wood to put around the room at dado height. Once it is baought and cut to size, we will paint it THEN attach it to the wall, but we can do all that by just moving the furniture away from the walls.
Today we went and bought a set of drapes for the smaller window, but we have decided that they will also do for the larger window as we are not pleating them at all. Now we need to get a smaller set for the smaller windows as they pucker too much, but overall the colour scheme looks great. Will get photos up when hubby has a free moment.

Suzy, you will be fine tomorrow. I have had to help cover the PE (gym) class before and it is no big deal. I think I found a part time job for the new school year. I am going to train over the summer and become a referee for High School volleyball. It pays well for 2.5 hours work after school. Could be fun. I don't have to play, just have to know the rules.

Heidi, I also do not have problem with a smelly doggy. We keep his bedding clean and he is fine.
Gail, can't wait to see the finished room. Maybe it will give me some incentive to paint mine. I will probably wait until winter when it cools off. Right now it is hot and humid and not the time to paint.

Just slept for 3 hours in the chair before the TV. Hubby wants to know how much I will sleep when I go to bed! Just closing down everything on the computer as I had too much open and it was objecting!

June, you must have needed the extra sleep. Hope you get a good nights worth tonight.

I think I figured out something. Dog people do not smell the dogie odors, cat people do not smell the cat odors. All dogs smell to me, even fresh from a bath, they still have doggy breath to me. I can also smell kitty odors, but find those unobjectionable, a nice clean musk scent.
