Bugger Broni, I hope pain killers work until the infection goes away.

Julie, I miss you! I hope your computer problems are fixed soon!!

Rolanda, with my parents and Don's living in different countries my mum never had to entertain my inlaws. Dana's current boyfriend is from your neck of the woods so no chance of me meeting them in the near future. I hope you cold/flu dies before it turns into anything.

Although I hate that our people are dying in a war, I understood why we went to Afghanistan. Iraq on the other hand always annoyed me! Bin Laden dying has made no real difference to the threat- I agree with Vicki there.

Better hurry Suzy, before the husband gets home and discovers them. The boy2 is also quite partial to them, and has had more than his fare share, not that he thinks he has!

I also have a pot of coffee ready for who ever wants a cup.
Rolanda, the cinnamon scrolls would go good with my morning up. Sorry, I don't do tea.
Suzy, one of these days I will type a list of what my kids have said, sometimes you just have to laugh. Glad the day went fairly well. As you said, you will get better with experience and being a sub is very hard.

It makes everything seem so insignificant-
Just got told by my 21yo that a friend of hers, a couple of years younger, had a fight with her live-in boyfriend this morning and he was later killed when a train hit him...
This little girl, I have known her for years, I feel so sick and so sad...

That's sad, Gail!
It not a good news day at all
- our 2 Aussie Soldiers
- the policeman that was shot in the head here will not survive - his family are going to turn off life support within the next 24 hours
- Gail's young friend's boyfriend
- and, even though not life-threatening, our Emily had a turn at School today for the first time in ages. She has seemed so much happier lately, here last night for dinner, no inkling. They've upped her medication and she's seeing the specialist in 3 weeks.

Cyn, the hardest part of that is the way other kids react. I have a persistent memory from my youth of my next door neighbour lying on the floor of the canteen with her uniform over her waist and nobody doing anything! She was never seen at school again. It probably didn't help that she was aboriginal and dealt with racism too.

I sure do remember the Epileptic kid I went to school with and how scared I was of her originally, until I was in her class and the teacher (in the 1950's, mind you) took the time to explain her condition to us and explain how we could help her. Emily is fortunate that she goes to a small public school - all up only about 240 students. I think everyone is aware. Her turns involve sudden flailing around (very scary if it's happening while driving, as it did to me once) and then crying, staring into space and finally sleeping it off.

Good Night June, sleep well friend.

Cyn, sorry to hear of the problem of your grandie, I hope the increase in meds works well for her.

Gail, how sad for that young girl. she will be haunted that her last words to him were argumentative.

Suzy, I think sometimes children just have to try with a sub, see how far they can push. Hope today does not bring any surprises.

Tami, you do go late into the summer at your school. Our schools are out already. I overheard parents talking in the store other day when I was sitting with blood sugar problems. One parent has been keeping her child home the last 3 days of school. They had no books, no lessons, and teachers were "saying without saying' they should just stay home, or she would have to find something for them to do.

The sloshy thing has finished, now to hang out the contents. It is a hot, windy day with humidity not too bad. I will be back later, Hugs to each of you.

The grandies last day of school is June 29, so they go even longer.

Cyn, fingers crossed for your grandie. Our oldest has not had an episode in a while (touch wood), and I think all of hers were at night. They consisted of twitching and becoming very stiff, staring into space and then wetting herself. She still might outgrow it by age 12 (she's 8 now). She goes to the psychologist for the first time tomorrow.

Gail how sad about your daughter's friend. As MizT said, her last words will haunt her for a very long time.

D came to the store with me this morning to get a few groceries. This is the first time we have gone shopping together for over a year.

I had trouble sleeping last night and ended up scrubbing the bathroom (sorry for swearing). I lead such an exciting life ...

Gail.... I hope your daughter's friend can get some good professional help. She will be feeling very guilty about the fight and always wondering if that influenced the accident. Which it probably did. It would be awful if it ruins her life. She needs to understand that people have fights. They help blow off steam and frequently bring things out into the open. They're normal. She is NOT to blame for his death.

Anyone up for some good news? Starting next Thursday my daughter will be going back to work part-time at her old employer. They have given her a job at the service desk where she can sit down on a stool.

Heidi broke it ....

Dentist today. I broke a piece off a back tooth some weeks ago. Needs a cap (break the bank!)and will not be a very pleasant visit as he will probably put the contraption in to keep my mouth open and that makes me gag.

Good Morning my friends.
Oh June, I feel for you, hope it all goes quickly.
Gail, how sad about D's friend.
Zusy, you rock girl, get 'im!
Theresa with D going back to work does that mean hubby can quit his second job soon?
For those who asked, yes I am on antibiotics and have awoke to swollen glands under the jaw, go figure.

There was a sad post from the girl during the night saying she is feeling so lost. I sent her a loving hug, no words, what else can you do. Their relationship was very fiery, I don't think bad words were out of the ordinary. For now I should think she would be very numb, numb is good.
We are a fairly small town, and she is known as the girl with the biggest smile and loved by many. I know her Mum and they are smart people, if she needs help, they will get it for her. I should imagine she would be back at home with her family rather than alone in the house she shared with her boyfriend.
Heidi, by the sounds of it, it was no accident :(

Good Morning all.

Gail, how sad for her and the families involved. Suicide leaves so many answers and guilt for those left behind.

Theresa, that's wonderful news about your daughter. Yippee!

Broni, I hope you are feeling better and the antibiotics work really quickly.

Cyn, give Emily a big hug. Poor darling.

Suzy, give those kids heaps! I hope you have a great day.

June, that would make me gag too. I hated having a crown and that horrible stuff they put in your mouth for the mould. I panicked and had to be calmed down. Just remember to breathe through your nose.

It was a bit chilly this morning and when I left Reggie was on his indoor bed covered by a blanket. He looked up and then just lay down and shut his eyes. Too early and cold for my little darling.

James has now clad the outside bed - except for around the front. He might be able to finish it tonight - then it will only need a coat of estapol.
