What is a MEMS paper? Don't you have to be brainy for something like that? Any tips for the race tomorrow anyone?

I agree with your tip Gail.
The only sure fire way to double your money tomorrow is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Good one Gail, by tomorrow night there will be a lot of people poorer. Today I have to change my mobile phone, it seems it won't work soon as Telstra is going on to Generation 3. Pity, I like my phone. Oh well, how sad, never mind.

vdV quite breathtaking! Were you one of the pilots two years ago? There is some concern that next year will be the last in Perth as the contract runs out in 2008.

Mustn't need to be brainy Lynda cause I'm doing it (well trying to). MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems), machines inside computer chips, In sci-fi words NanoBots

Linda, I can not fly as good as these guys, so no not one of the pilots, also I don't have enough money, you need millions to get involved in those races, like formula one in cars

We sometimes see some acrobatics with the water bomber planes. They go very low and through trees in thick smoke, often wonder why they don't collide with one another or a helitac. Amazing to watch. Good thing we have people with a bit of derring do! I have a friend who was on the edges of Formula 1 for years, kept him poor, by the time he was any good he was too old, such is life.

vdV, what you need is a sponsor -- a big, fat sugar daddy. Put your nanobots to work securing you a sponsor so you can plaster decals all over your plane and race.

Gday Ruby, I'm just passing through at the moment with folded clothes in one basket and dirty clothes in the other! I haven't had the chance to catch up with you for ages. Hope you are well.
I'm just about to go and make a toasted sandwich and a cuppa for lunch, would you like anything?

Hi All,
We were in Perth 10 to 12 years ago and they had all these old planes taking off and landing etc from Langley Park and it was very spectacular.
Yes Ruby Laura is certainly grown up and I think those photos were taken about three months ago.
I have a couple on my page that I took last week at "Koala Park" when she was feeding the kangaroos etc.
The medication for her ulcers is helping her eat more but they cannot find out what is causing them so not sure how long she will have to take medication.
Someone asked about my back the other day. It is much better as long as I take things easy. If I walk very far I have problems. One more trip to the physio on Friday and then it is up to me to keep up the exercises to stengthen all my core muscles.
We will have a Melbourne Cup lunch at the Bowling club tomorrow and I will invest a couple of dollars in the sweeps. All to enjoy the fun.
Gail we were near your place a couple of years ago when that storm went through on Cup day.
my sister is in Melbourne for the cup so hope you have some nice weather.
For all O/S the Melbourne Cup is the number one horse race in Australia. Melbourne gets a days holiday and the rest of the country have lunches, sweeps etc. Industry stops when the race is being run. MADNESS !!!!

Morning sudoluland, coffee is on!

The clocks have changed, but my body has not. I got up same time by the sundial as usual, but my clocks say I am up an hour early! My body gets so very confused!! Maybe i should just go back to bed for a while.

I find it only takes a couple of days for the body clock to adjust and just think of the extra jobs you can get done being up that extra hour early. Enjoy your morning coffee

I have an assignment due today - not that there are only 30 minutes left of today - so I'm in here reading the posts. It makes sense to me. Maybe I should get vdV to finish it for me - baffle em with acronyms....

LOl Brenda. No laundry, or vacuuming, or any other type of cleaning for me until I get this assignment, and the next, sent. My family will just have to wear dirty clothes. It's raining here so I can't get the clothes dry anyway. I have to say that right now I would prefer laundry - even in the rain. Do you know anything about inclusive education???? Want to swap?

Oh Suzy, I see you had a bad case of velcro butt! Its very contagious apparently. I hope you managed to finish your assignment.
all. Today is a public holiday for the Melbourne Cup. We do not DO cup stuff but we revel in having a sunny Tuesday off. Going to go into the garden soon and get caught up with some planting, weeding and mowing etc.
I made a mega batch of Banana Muffins yesterday, so I'll leave some in the fridge for you. If you want them warm, just bung it in the mickey mouse house (microwave) for 20 secs. I've also put on a fresh pot of coffee so help yourselves.

Hello everyone. Yes I have finished Uni and it is a very nice feeling to be finished. Actually I finished over a week ago but I have been busy doing house stuff and then doing nothing the rest of the time. Thank you all for your messages of encouragement over the last few months and sorry if I didn't reply to them all.

Gail, we have a public holiday here too for the first time ever (very controversial too as the rest of NSW doesn't). But it is not warm enough to go outside, in fact it is cold enough to put the heater on! That is if the heater would actually work - we discovered last night that there is something wrong with it and it won't work!!
