Jenni, are you not permitted to work on a temp registration? I know when we gratuated nursing school, we could work till after our liscening tests were taken and results back. Had to sign as a TRN, meaning temporary Registered nurse. I know a lady who t=moved, and was not liscened in our state,a nd she was allowed to work, pending getting her new liscense, but she had to sign as GN for graduate nurse.

Cyndi, your temps are about our temps for one more night, then a cool down. today was a lovely 77, right now in the 50's, tomorrows high to be 56 and low near freezing, our coldest nights yet on Tuesday and Wednesday. Had our first light frost a couple nights ago.

I also must be leaving. Bed time here, you know and I am sleepy. Not yet adjusted to the change of time. It would be very late for me to be up, on the old time!

Good to chat again, been a while since I caught anyone on here. sorry to leave good company.

Hi June, I had the favourite in the race in a sweep but it let me down.
In answer to your earlier question MizT, if you read this when you wake up, I don't think that it works like that here. I have to wait till the registration comes through. The registration board only sits once a month and I just missed the cut off for November so will have to wait till December. But I will probably take it easy for a few months as I am going to do a New Graduate Program that doesn't start till Feb.

When I lived in Sth Aus, I used to do a Cup Day luncheon thingy every year. If I didn't go to a pub do with Mum and/or brother, I would go to a friend's footy club bash or we would hold one for the school mums. I think they were the most fun. Because we all lived in a tiny town, we could all enjoy a tipple or two, have a sweep in the cup and then walk en masse to the school to pick up our kids in the afternoon then stagger home!!!

The weatherman just said we may get snow tonight.

We don't get holidays here for horse races because they are on Saturdays. It is fun to go see the horses. The track is only a few miles from my house.

Stopping by before heading to bed. I'm also checking the time.

It was election day here but I didn't vote. Hubby did though. Just small local elections.

Tomorrow starts the indoor soccer season and S#2 has a game.

Have a good night/day all!

Dino, how are you? I also hope that you are better. I know this last round of colds was a sticky one that wasn't easy to shake off.

Sorry dino, we're destined to read each other's messages! Been flinging food around the kitchen. It absolutely bucketed down here but didn't cause any damage that I know of. The usual branches down and debris everywhere but nothing major. We did lose a park bench down the bottom of the garden. A huge gum branch dropped onto it and smashed it to bits! Its too big to move so hubby is going to have to get the chainy on to it.
Back a bit later. Stage two of dinner preparations!

Brenda, the kids had chicken schnitzels cut up into nugget sizes served with chips and salads, and hubby and I had veal schnitzels. When I told him I was cutting the kid's into nugget sizes, he pouted...so we had ours in nugget form as well!!!

Gday June.

Hi Gail,
Your dinner sounds great. My hubby back from Taiwan today so we had steak/pepper sauce with veggies and some coleslaw.
I had a few days where I did not have to cook which was great.

I seem to be cooking for less and less these days but still catering for an army! There's enough salad out there to keep Peter Rabbit happy for days!

I was a bit spoilt as the money exchance was closed when he got to the airport so he bought me a piece of Fritz China. That fine stuff with birds wings, butterflies etc sticking out.
This has a butterfly and like a small vase only goes up to a peak. Very pretty but very fragile

I tend to try and do simple meals these days.Something I can put on the table in about 20 minutes max. Quite often a mixture of veggies and salad with the meat. If hubby wants sweets he has to get it himself!
