Ahhh, good! only time for one cup this morning, I must finish the change of the closet.

How many of you must change over or re arrange a closet according to the season? My closet is a double hanging arrangement and the top section has about 3 foot deep part that is not really accessable. So twice a year, I rearrange and put the off season clothes back there, and the all season and current season stuff is rearranged for easy finding. I started yesterday but my hand/wrist acting up and was unable to finish without pain. I do try to avoid pain when I can, don't you?? I am back to the chore this morning.

I have gotten rather compulsive about my clothes, they are hung color cordinated. One of the things I did to simplify my life! I found I spent so much time hunting for a top to go with the pants ( trousers?) I had chosen, and during the search through the choices would find a DIFFERENT pair of pants that would go with the top I saw a bit ago, and return to hunt for THAT item. I would have 7 things pulled from the closet and NOTHING TO WEAR. Now I just hang items by color and find it is sooo much easier.

MizT you are so organised. I tried that once but after the first lot of laundry everything went wrong. All newly cleaned clothes went to one end of the wardrobe and never got sorted.

Brenda, I have had that happen to my mops before also, both a spongemop and a cotton string mop. I think they rot between uses.

Brenda, I hang my clothes on hangers on my drying line, cause the line is not long. so when I bring them in, I just sort them by color then and put them on my bed. pick up all the blue shirts, and hang, then the white, makes it easy really with only a bit of work.

I got kicked out of here when I tried to refresh. I got a bunch of codes.

I have a tiny closet and I have to box my clothes. I only did some of it so far.

I don't see it as a vice MizT a necessity but definitely not a vice especially when you buy sale goods. We have to look good. I think I will have to go shopping soon. I don't seem to have bought any new clothes since we were on holiday.

Hi everyone. Trick-or-treating is over for the year. Bought 14 bags of candy and have only 4 small bags left. Hope no one got "tricked" tonight.

I had some packets of no artificial colours or preservative sweets ready but we seldom get trick or treaters in Australia.
Been out to a lovely three course lunch at the local Technical College. 4 different meals but no choice and you did a critique on the meals. A small charge. Was a very nice meal.
Yesterday I took Laura to the local wild life park and she had a wonderful time with the kangaroos etc. Got some lovely photos of her. (Did not help my back which was improving)
Dino is you cold improving?....Just remembered you have gone to your daughters

Good morning all! Halloween was pretty quiet this year. It seemed like half of the neighbors weren't home. Not as many kids as we usually get and I thought there would be more since it was light out later. Still have about a third of the candy left. I have to figure out where to go today for church, All Saints Day. For the last 14 years I always went to the kid's school for mass. S#2's school is a little far, unless I stay down there. He does have a game today but then I have to stay for parent-teacher conferences, which would make it a long, long day there.

The weather guy just said that our October was the warmest October in history! Does that mean we're in for a really cold winter or warm winter? If it's cold, then I hope we get lots of snow! I don't like the cold without the snow!

everyone. Woke up to a warmer morning (45 F). Today the veggie plants go out with the yard waste. I'm going try and save the squash plants until the last possible minute. There's at least 5 coming on and are a topic for convo with the neighbors. 3 are hanging over the bed wall.
Will try and check back later. Hope everyone has a good day.

Everyone. A sprinkle of snow on the ground here, this morning. Amber got her quota of candy last night. We also went to watch the fireworks display on the beach. The Christina Lake Fire Department puts it on every year at Halloween. They have hot chocolate available to warm up the ghosties and ghoulies. A really fun time. Have a great day everyone.

Greetings to Sudoluland. We had zero trick or treaters, which is a good thing since we had no treats! Snow? Frost? glad it is not me! it is getting cool at night, but day time I can still open the doors mid day. 70 degrees at the moment!

I have a sick kitty bugging me today. she has a nasty upper respiratory infection, is on antibiotics and just getting where she can breathe easier. BUT she now wants to go OUT and is telling me so in her just now restored voice. did you know kitties could have larengitis ?? I am not wanting her out, with the trouble breathing and weight loss, I am thinking she could not run far if chased by dogs or unfriendly cats. I remembered once before, I put a recovering cat in the large dog kennel and set it on the porch. Cat is outside, but safe, and if she is meowing to get out, I do not hear! Am I a BAD kitty Mommie??At the moment she is quite and the only time she is really meowing is when she hears one of us on the porch, so hubby is walking all the way around the house when going to the office.

More later, hugs to all.

Hi Rena And MizT
I didn't get any treats in this year as last year I was prepared and ended up having it all left as no one called. You can guess what happened this year we had two sets of callers. Never mind a cash treat was accepted.
Fireworks are due here in 4 days time on Guy Fawkes November 5th. I love fireworks but dread them for the dog. Lady, my last dog, was petrified of them. Not too sure how Callie will react

My American-born kids really miss Halloween. A few local kids go trick or treating, but there are very few local homes who actually have treats ready for them. This year we did trick or treating at home. We have six external doors on the house and had them go around in circles to each door, saying trick or treat at each one. A couple of times we tricked them - I threw confetti all over them one time, and my husband hid behind the side gate and scared them as they came through on one of their trips around the house. They got me back though - they picked up some of the confetti and threw it at me when I opened the door. I didn't give them any candy that visit!!!

Suzy, what a great idea! That must have been a lot of fun. Next year, they should invite the neighborhood kids to go with them around the house and then they'll really feel like a gang of trick or treaters.

Hope your kitty feels better MizT.

D#1 sent me a picture of her in the costume but it was on the phone.(too small for me to see) I told her she has to email me one. I guess it went over big because two groups asked her to come to their costume parties this weekend and the rugby team (I assume girls) is having an "Under the Sea" party at the end of their season and they want her to come in her Ariel costume!

Heading out shortly to Boston. I'm picking up D#1 on the way to D#2's soccer game so she can see it too.

Have a great day/night everyone!

Stella, thank you, kitty is much better today, thanks to the power of modern veterinary medicine. Now we are just watching the other kitty, to make sure she does not come down with same.

Time to get into kitchen and fling food. I have a hungry man to feed.

MizT, is there any news on the fires where your daughter is? Nothing seems to be mentioned on the news here in England anymore, so we assume things must be under control or even hopefully fully extinguished.

Hi, Suzy, Rolanda, Ruby, Becky, Gail, MizTricia, Stella, and Brenda! Greetings also to vdV, Lynda, Rena, Cyndi, June, and dino. (I hope I haven't missed any regulars.) Hi, also, to Ian, who sometimes visits us here.

Suzy, your family's version of trick-or-treating sounds like loads of fun!

MizTricia, I hope kitty1 is doing better and didn't share the "bug" with kitty2!

Stella, drive safely and enjoy your visit with D#1 and D#2!

Brenda, I hope Callie wasn't bothered by the fireworks! Our cats are "scaredy-cats," so Halloween was difficult for them. After the first ringing of the doorbell, we didn't see them for hours.

Dino, how is your cold/sinus infection doing? I hope medication is helping!

June, I hope your back is improving!
