Bean, I always felt my place was the same (did close off a couple of rooms from the cleaner at this stage) but it will mean that I have to maintain the other jobs more......and download some of the junk I keep!!!
There is always more interesting things to do than housework!!!

We are off to the Claxton Shield Final Series so will not be around for awhile. (CLAXTON SHIELD is Baseball and it is the best of three between NSW and WA)

ALL DAY and only one post? Is everyone having a busy weeken d? where are all the people from top side? The down Under Gagn has been chatting up the site, we are not holding up our end very well.

Stella, hope you get that tree down and stored.

Bean, good to see you turning pages so effortelss.

Rena, glad you made it back.

June, how did the baseball go?

Gail, where are you this weekend? One little comment all you could squeeze in?

Mama, book was due back at library today, I renewed it. I am within 200 pages of the end, and I sometimes get soo angry at what some characters are doing, I put the book down and walk away, muttering.

My apple crisp for tonights desert is smelling good, and there goes the timer, back to flinging food I must go.

Hugs to all,

Tricia

Sorry you have not had much company Tricia. I have just been reading our Sunday Newspaper and doing one of the Sudokus there.
NSW lost for the second year and Perth Heat won the Baseball, their second win of the best of three so they win the Claxton Shield this year.(That is the top baseball competition in Australia and between the States) My son was playing in this competition 20 years ago. Now he plays veterans (over 40). Hubby played for over 35 years and still coaches an U/14 team.
Last night we were part of the official guests and it also included a meal. Good night and catching up with many people we have been associated with for many years.
MizT you certainly get involved with the characters in the book you are reading!

Hello everyone! Bit of a snow storm today. Very fine snow. The kind that clings to every branch and leaf so that it looks like the tree is actually white instead of brown or green. Finally took Max out for his birthday dinner. We went to "Red Robin," a gourmet hamburger chain. We're all stuffed. The birthday person gets free meal and sundae and they sing happy birthday to them. Max really liked it.

Still have not finished the tree. Couldn't find some essential boxes, but it is close to being done! Maybe the Christmas tree on my page is jinxing me and preventing me from finishing the job. I guess I should update my page. I was in the middle of doing it when we had the big crash. I haven't had time to get back to it!

Bean, you were wondering how some can rattle off the names. There have been over 30,000 posts on SA, so we pretty much know who stops by.

Which reminds me, has anyone heard from Jenni? I can't remember the last time she posted. She must be very busy with nursing.

June, I never realized that baseball was popular in Australia! You learn something new every day. Max hasn't made up his mind yet whether he will do baseball or lacrosse in the spring.

MizT, I hope the book ends well. Nothing like reading a long book and have it fizzle out at the end. You'll probably finish it by tomorrow.

Rolanda, a cuppa tea sounds nice! I think I'll go make some.

G'day all, we have the A list here in Perth for the Ledger funeral, my neighbours have gone celebrity spotting. Stella I preferred lacrosse, it is much more brutal!! Polocrosse is quite fast and furious, but you do need a horse.

Rolanda you are brave, all that mess traipsed through the bedroom!!! Best of luck with it. One of our friends got a company to do theirs, took six weeks and $15000:00!! It was nothing special when finished either. Our first house cost less than that.

Lynda, we had ours done just over 12 months ago. The workmen put dust sheets over the bed and furniture, covered the floor where they worked and removed them each afternoon if we wanted to sleep in that bed (we do have a spare room). It cost about $10,000 and has made a big difference.
We did need a new toilet and something done about the shower and it has made cleaning much easier and looks brighter (and got rid of the tiny 70's tiles!) We considered it well worth it!

Stella, there are a lot of people playing baseball in Australia but it gets very little publicity. We actually won a Silver Medal for Baseball in the last Olympic Games.

Lynda, yes bathrooms can cost a packet.
and I am having a company doing the bathroom. My Husband's business and contacts, and it will look special
and as for the mess- trying hard not to think about it , or the fact I will have to use the boys bathroom and toilet for a few weeks.
How far away is Easter? before the mess starts!

yes, totally redone.. everything is getting demolished over the Easter Break,
with the plumber and electrician coming in to do their bits. move pipes, electrical etc.
lots of drop sheets etc will be used in the bedroom to minimise the mess.
Guess we will be on the sofa bed in the study for the duration of the Bathroom Renovations.

hmmmm.. been thinking !!
might convince him that the sofa bed be put elsewhere (the lounge room), and put our bed in the study ..
now that would work! it would only have to be for a few short weeks, and would be much more comfortable

Rolanda why don't you convince him that you should stay in a 5 star hotel for the duration? Of course if the bed is in the study you can access the site all hours.

Wow, nobody has been around all day!

Lynda, was Ledger's funeral yesterday? I assume he still has family in the area.

Rena, how's the "free breathing" going?

Orianne, welcome! Feel free to post anytime! We catch up with each other when we get a chance. Sometimes, we're even here at the same time!

It's early here, still dark out. I wanted to sleep in this Sunday morning, but too many "things" running through my mind.

Have a great day/night everyone and I hope I catch you later!

Updated my page a little. Finally took the tree down. Put a picture of a light snow fall. Also added a couple of pictures to the gallery. One is Max's nativity project. I ended up sculpting the figures since we couldn't find any in the store to put in the stable. Also, a Christmas picture of us.

Almost forgot, finally put a new youtube, "Sister Golden Hair." Brings back memories of high school and going to the beach!

June and Stella - my girls would love to play baseball, but it is proving hard to get started down here. d1 will play 3rd grade with the adult team this year. d2 is not old enough for that yet. Jeneane Lesko (from the original AAGBL and a hall of famer) came to a town about an hour from here for a baseball clinic. She was amazing! At 70 something her warm up pitches went forever!! She thinks d1 has potential as a pitcher and gave her a few extra pointers. Proud mum here...

Stella, I am just beginning to understand how it works in here...you chat alone and people get back to you when the come and chat alone too. A bit like talking to a wall...laughing...had a great day except André is not feeling so good today. We took a 3 hour trip to St Jovite yesterday and I guess it was a bit much for him...Gail, Stella, Rolanda I am ready for the party anytime...and Stella you are right we are in the same time zone...my mistake!
