Rolanda, I have a sloppy joe on today. I'm wondering what happened to summer this year. Not that I'm complaining! I prefer this to melting....

Ruby, when my Cherubs were little, at Easter, after lunch we would all take the kids to the park.
Grandy (FIL) would volunteer to stay behind and do the dishes..
Upon our return from the Park, the kiddywinks were all excited !! Easter Bunny had been and left his footprints all over the yard, so off we would go hunting for the easter eggs in the garden.
Meanwhile Grandy would be scratching his head. wondering why he never saw the Easter Bunny come by !!

Unfortunately for me Rolanda, if I even think about going outside in that weather I get a painful sunburn so the pool wouldn't help me at all. Hubby is sure I burn in the rain!

It seems to rain here every easter so the easter bunny leaves the eggs inside. Or at least he did when the kids were younger.

Suzy, I have worked it out that the kids get roughly 14 weeks off with all the holidays and odd days added together. Teachers don't get quite as many as they have days of training to attend when school is out.
I think I was supposed to do that chore too....it will get done another day

Brenda, teachers get three 'pupil free' days a year here. Scheduled school days, but the kids stay home. These days are usually scheduled ofr the first day of a new term, though it varies between schools, and they have training on those days. So every new term mothers call each other and ask if anyone remembers if the first day is pupil-free or not.

Ladies I thank you from the bottom of my heart, your prayers must be mighty powerful. With TLC and a lot of medication we can get her through this, the vet was quite upbeat this morning. She is eating again. The day will come for tears one day but not today, she is over 30 which is pretty old in horse years. But for now thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers, a great comfort.

Lynda, I am so pleased. We have contemplated putting "Boy"..our old horse down a couple of times(Bad arthritis) and when he got the horse flu we thought that would be the end but the medication from that has given him a new lease on life. Lets hope it is the same for your grand old Lady.

Rena, too bad you live so far away. Hubby's been thinking of getting rid of his pickup.
Speaking of which, he started his new job today and brought home all kinds of insurance paperwork for me to fill out. 3 different apps for 3 different companies that cover different things.

Good morning all! Another winter storm heading our way today. Busy trying to get our taxes done (hubby mostly doing it) because they have to be done early for the financial aid applications for all of the schools. Washing the floors has not been on my agenda for quite some time! Rolanda, send some of that heat this way, we'll split the difference!
Lynda, so glad to hear that your horse will make it through this crisis. Even when they are old, it is hard to let them go.

June wonderful that Boy was able to overcome horse 'flu, it really takes it out of them. My old lady has arthritis. We give her Rose Cottage A mix it really helps. She seems quite peaceful tonight but very indignant that she was conned into taking her medicine. Thanks again everyone she has been told how many people are expecting her to get well.

Temperature here still warm for the time of year, 14C which is probably double what it should be for February. We took the dog out for a walk around the (man made)lake and ended up having lunch out, sitting outside near the lake it was lovely and warm.

Hi all! Thanks for your help on the conversion numbers Suzy. I found lots of help here yesterday...all the talk about floors helped me stay away from the pooter long enough to make a start....cleaned 1 and 1/2 baths...still another to go and managed to vacuum most of the house...still need to get into the kitchen in a big way....cabinets, fridge and stuff....but that will need to wait for more inspiration. I've even managed to get some wash done....think I'll finish that tomorrow too....play time now, before I have to get in the kitchen to fix dinner....its my turn tonight...darn it!

Miz T...I'm still meeting some of these folks in the book....I've only gotten through 122 pages, but have found several folks that fit the 'love to hate' tag. At this point though I'll reserve judgment until I get further into the book. I am enjoying it though...but I have so many irons in the fire right now that I'm not able to spend as much time reading as I'd like. Plus, I've run into a green eyed monster here, every time I pick up the book. Seems he thinks I'm spending too much time between the pooter and the books. He accepts the pooter more easily because he doesn't know when I'm working or playing (he really doesn't know anything about the pooter, nor does he want to learn), but when I'm reading, he claims to feel shut out. Since I don't want to alienate him too much...I've been trying to be more attentive.....oh the things one must do to keep harmony in the home.

MAMA, I get the same thing from my hubby, if I am reading, I am ignoring him. It does not matter that he is glued to the TV and goes SHHHH if I try to talk to him, that is not ignoring me for some reason. I do my reading when he is on his computer, mostly, or out in the shop or office.
