Heidi, what is the calf count?? Heiffers vs bully boy calves??

June, welcome home.

Rolanda, have a good holiday, hope it is not too hot and don't forget your hat!

Brenda, loved your pendant setting, lovely. Heidi, your Pendant is most unusual, my kind of Jewelry, a bit different from the norm. what is the size? there was nothing to show scale in that photo, really, but it looked large.

Shucks, all the messages are on the last page and if I go back, I will loose these comments, so that is it for now. Ffuts to do, anyway. Today is becomming a most lovely day. I need to find my hat (UV ratings up above 3 already, cannot be out without my hat already, and Ohh, have you noticed, it is daylight till 6 pm here in Alabama, spring cannot be far now).

If I failed to mention you, know I did read and think appropriate thoughts, and sending hugs now,

Hello, Everyone! Somehow I think yesterday slipped away without my visiting. Too many things to do and too little time.

Hello, Heidi, Victoria/Vicky, MizT, MizTricia, Rolanda, Brenda, Suzy, Tami the Troublemaker, Judy, Broni, June, Gail, and CynB!

Heidi, I'm so sorry to hear about kitty! It's also a relief to know that people in the post office understand the need to get your birds to you as quickly as possible! Congrats on healthy new calves! Have fun at the estate auction! (I know you said you were helping, but I hope you also have fun!)

Vicky, I hope your date night with hubby was funny! I also hope Kevin isn't bothered by Mick's comment! That's so Neanderthal to decide who to talk to and befriend based on position in a company! In spite of the comment, I hope Kevin likes his new job!

Theresa, I hope you can get that insomnia worked out!

MizT, I guess the pantry and groceries are all sorted out by now!

Rolanda, have a wongerful weekend at the caravan park! Good news that son's car got the thumbs up and you know he'll be driving a safe car while you are away!

Brenda, the tanzanite pendant is spectacular! What a fun surprise visit from your daughter!

Suzy, I hope Ebob enjoyed her special day, including the impromptu singing of Happy Birthday in the school canteen!

Tami, thanks for the "first dance" video! What a hoot! I can't wait to hear if there are further discussions related to your age! WONDERFUL news that your Dad is home from the hospital. Not-so-good-news if he isn't using the oxygen and behaving himself! Shall we all descend on him and have an "intervention?" BTW, do your students know about your pet rock?

Judy, I hope you like the new van! We have had a van for 15 or 20 years, and I must admit to liking them over the years - being up high enough to see surrounding traffic. Hubby prefers a low-do-the-ground sedan, which was difficult for me and my original knees. He's also a foot taller than I am, so can see MUCH more than I can while driving it.

Broni, the meal for your friend sounds yummy! What a great friend you are!

Congrats to the Canadian women's hockey team on their gold medal! Did you watch, Theresa? Oh, my, howling winds and 0*F temperatures! Certainly NOT a time to be out if you can avoid it, Theresa!

MizT, I hope Tanya continues to improve and feel better with the medication changes! Continued positive vibes being sent her way!

WELCOME HOME, June and hubby! I hope you have had a nice sleep since you got home! Good news that you got through customs easily!

MizT, I have heard from Vermont that horses are beginning to shed their winter coats. I think you may be right - spring is on its way. (Just don't mention that around the people who got 2 feet of snow and lost power yesterday/last night.)

Just taking a break from work to catch up.
Congrats on all the new babies, Heidi.
The winds have died down now. I heard on the news that the northeastern States have been hammered with more snow and there are a lot of people without power. My thoughts are with them. That storm is supposed to hit the southern part of my province later today, but we're too far east to get the brunt of it. We're expecting about 5 centimetres of snow and gusting winds again. Less than a month to go until spring ... sigh.
Back to work ... hope to pop in later.

My grandkids just brought me a snack because they knew I was working ... two slices of bread, a bag of marshmallows and a candy cane!!! My daughter said they wanted to do something for me so they fixed a bag of goodies by themselves. How sweet is that?

Morning all!
I don't have my glasses so I hope I don't miss anyone...

Welcome home June! Your trip sounds like it was fantastic and I can't wait to see some of the photos. I hope your sleep schedule gets back on track quickly.

Theresa, it doesn't get much sweeter than that. Did you say OF so not too cold???

Heidi, how many are you expecting in total? Sending out SA vibes for more bull calves! Hey, they seem to work for health, why not for business stuff...

Tami, you are encouraging your students to have children early!!

MizT, glad to hear the UV rating is starting to go up - it must be warming up in your neck of the woods. Very nice.

I hope more lurkers start to post as Vicki is a wonderful addition and they would be too...

Pride rehearsal last night. The new girl is doing well. She is like Ally when she first started, singing very softly and not saying much. It won't take her long to get into the swing of things, especially since she is a bit older than Ally was when she first started. I'm so glad Ally has had the chance to sing with Pride. She always wanted to sing and this has given her opportunities and developed her confidence in a way that I never expected. I'm a bit of a critical mum so I will admit that she's no Olivia Newton John, but she is getting better all the time and is having a ball.

My back is killing me. I was lugging buckets of feed to the replacement heifers, slipped on the mud, and hit the ground hard. Fortunately, my next epidural pain block is in 4 1/2 days. My wheelchair is out on loan, so I can't use it.

Heidi, ouch ... sending good vibes your way for you this time! Take some time for yourself with a heating pad.
Suzy, 0 F is fairly mild for us. The snow is melting and there's standing water and puddles everywhere. Glad that Ally is enjoying herself. It's great for teenagers to do something that boosts their confidence. A great step for the adult years to come.
I forgot to mention that the bread my grandkids gave me came complete with stickers on one side. Would anyone like a sticker sandwich?
As Tami would say, it's time to go to the K room and fling food. Catch you all later.

I get the epidurals every three months. I need them to live a fairly normal life. Back when I was 20, I broke my back. Nobody believed me that I was seriously injured so I went untreated. I was paralyzed for a few weeks, but did get back some feeling in my legs. I now have all sorts of problems in the lumbar area, including degenerative vertabrae, degenerative discs, herniated discs and osteoarthritis.

Heidi, sounds like all those health problems are not conducive to the life you lead. Is surgery in the future? Take care of yourself!!! That's an order.

What else would i do with my life, Theresa? I am doing what I want to do. The epidurals and pain meds let me do what I want, generally. But this is why I employ Robert. He does the heavy work that is too hard on me. IH won't lift a finger to help me.

I realize you are doing what you want with your life, Heidi, and not too many people get to say that. Just wanted you to know that there are people out there who care about you.
The owner of the cat sanctuary/rescue is in the same sort of situation. She's not getting any younger and has back problems. She is worried what will happen to the cats if she can no longer do it. She does have volunteers, but no one qualified to run the place. There are probably about 300 cats there. She works a full-time job and then is up until about 1:00 AM every day giving meds, feeding, litter boxes, and on and on. With my arthritis I am not able to help out as much as I used to.

I was just out feeding hay to the cows, and something broke in my tractor! It's making a loud bang-bang-bang-bang sound. Why does this always happen at the start of the weekend??

Heidi, tell Murphy that I said to "take a hike." You don't deserve a tractor that keeps breaking down.

Gosh, Heidi, if we had know all we had to do was send positive vibes for you to get bull calves, we would have been doing it the last couple of weeks. Sending positive vibes for many more healthy bull calves for Heidi! I'm also sending along some positive vibes for you! I'm so sorry to hear that you have fallen and hurt yourself again! Please try to take care of yourself! Thank goodness your next epidural is next week!

Theresa, what thoughtful grandchildren you have to bring you a snack. Can't think of anything tastier than sticker sandwich! Now, if they had included a chocolate bar and graham crackers along with the marshmallows, you could have made S'Mores! Here's a thought for the cat rescue. High schools in our area require a certain number of volunteer hours. Perhaps some of the students could get involved and help with cleaning litter boxes, etc. (It has helped some at my friend's dog rescue.)

Suzy, you're darn right that Ally is improving! What an opportunity the Pride group has been for her!

Julie, no exciting plans. I teach tomorrow morning and Dylan has opening ceremonies for baseball. After that it is filling the house with food, the beasties are going to eat me out of house and home. At night we are going to services at our temple. Sunday is Hebrew school and then go to my parents for a visit. When I have time I need to grade a few papers and finish fixing our screen porch. I also need to find time to do my yrdnaul. Just a typical weekend for a working mom.

Hi Julie, high schools in Ontario also require that students do a minimum number of volunteer hours. We have had a few at the rescue, but the minute their hours are done they tend to leave. That plus some of them do not like the idea of scooping litter boxes and vacuuming, etc.
If anyone has any good fundraising ideas for the cat rescue, please let me know. We do have raffles, bake sales, but any fresh ideas would be appreciated.
Hi Tami, bye Tami.
Haven't seen Vibrant Vici on here in a while, hope everything is ok.

Hi, Theresa! We must have been typing at the same time!

The hope is that once the kids get involved and enjoy the animals, scooping out litter isn't a big deal. Who knows, maybe someone will go on and want to study to be a vet's assistant or a vet.

Sometimes, instead of fund raising, your friend might try "food raising" or "litter raising." I'm sure all of that is not donated!

Hello to anyone who visits! I need to get a few things done before bedtime arrives!
