Happy Anniversary SUZY and MR. SUZY. I hope you have something planned for just you 2.
Long distance romances do work, I have a friend in Wayalla, her son went to USA to uni one year, and came back engaged. She immigrated to Oz once she got her degree, they seem very happy.

A British friend whose son met a girl online, went to Wisconsin to meet her in person and took her back to England with him, they have been married for 5 years now.

Ooo Heidi, now you're stretching my memory, that was in 1988! If it helps I was there to visit the Dow Corning factory.

I believe that's about 45 minutes from me, Suzy. But back in '88, I wasn't living in Kentucky.

I don't like congratulating anyone on their wedding anniversary, I prefer offering sympathy. But it sounds like all of you have happier marriages than I do. So.... Suzy.

Morning Nola and MizT!
We do have something planned - but not until the weekend. We are going out for dinner and seeing a play. It should be loverly! I think our long distance romance would have been easier in internet days... but maybe that's why it worked, things you work harder for are more valued?

Heidi, my parents didn't have a good marriage. My father died in 1980 and I felt as if a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders. I can understand why I felt that way, but I have also felt a lot of guilt because I felt that way.

Happy anniversary, Suzy. I had the same problem with my father. He died in 1990 and I feel guilty because I don't really miss the man he was. That sounds awful even though I know the whole story. But that's the way I feel!

Yes Heidi, Speedy is a lighter orange, Mini Maz is a splotchy black/orange and Blackie looks like he/she will be all black.

Hi everyone!
Happy anniversary Suzy and Mr Suzy - hope you have a wonderful day. Also, Suzy, hope your jaw feels better very soon - sounds horribly painful.
Gail, your lunch sounds yummy ... yes, and decadent! Mmmm!
Copied your menu - my meals seem to have lost all ingenuity lately, though Rob is still pathetically grateful if he finds something edible on the table! :0
MizT, sounds like your spring will be lovely -the magnolia pictures are beautiful.
June, Laura's not a baby any more! She looks very grown up and competent on her horse.(And very cute!)
This weekend Rob put our new shed together - hard work, and he was totally exhausted by the end! I helped by mowing the lawn and holding things for him - luckily it was a beautiful, sunny day - and we had the triumphal march at the end as we placed the first things inside. Take-away for dinner, and early to bed! He was really sore for the next few days though ... he forgets he's "getting on" a bit!
Ok, that's enough for now - should go and so "stuff" - have a great day everyone!

Theresa, it's awful to have to feel that way, but if the shoe fits..

Broni, your goldfish are amazing!

Judy, you mowed the lawn and you weren't sore too?

A funny for you. Last night hubby said one of his workmates was asking what time our girls have to go to bed because his son is complaining that his bed time needs to be adjusted. His son is in Year 11 in high school - and his bedtime is, wait for it, 8.30pm!!!!

Good evening everyone.
Suzy, wishing you and hubby a very happy birthday.
My mom does come here occasionally to read but she hasn't posted. She wants me to tell everyone that she really appreciates all the good wishes for her and my dad. He is doing better, he just needs to get his strength it back.
Just because I like to cause trouble, today is my mom's birthday. I won't say how old she is because I don't want her mad at me. I just updated her details, her birthday wasn't there.

Just back from my first drive in the Car after the Op, had an appointment to go to!
My driving reactions are sluggish.. Made sure there was lots of distance between me and the car in front.
Am tired as now, putting the kettle on for a Cup of Tea, and have a long sit in the recliner with a book!!

Smart move, leaving extra distance between cars, Rolanda. Please be very careful when you drive. Just think how long your recovery will be if you have an accident.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all the lassies and the occasional fly-by laddie!

Hi, Viv, Victoria, eaa, Suzy, Theresa, Gail, Heidi, MizTricia, June, Suzanne, Nola, Broni, Judy, Tami, and Rolanda! Hello to friends I have missed or who will pop in after I have gone to bed.

Viv, I hope you're well rested after helping your friend shift houses and then gardening today!

Victoria, hope your meeting tonight went well and you will be able to see Survivor at a later date!

It's great to see eaa over on this page! We're glad you found your mojo! I'll try to find you on facebook.

Sounds like giving medications to dogs is much easier than our cats. Luckly we haven't had to give it to them on a regular basis!

Suzy, Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby! The Masterpieces of Paris exhibit sounds wonderful! How nice that your entire family is also interested! Should be fun! I hope you are feeling better!

I haven't been enjoying the spider discussions. I prefer for them to stay outside the house, but it doesn't work.

I'll be watching to see if Gail & Suzy have found the correct eaa on facebook so I can make a friend request.

MizT, sounds like you have had a busy day! The only good thing about doing the sloshy thing ffuts is that it is then done for a few days. Back when children were at home and hubby & I were working, seemed like I had to throw in at least one load per day! Not my favorite chore.

It's nice to see Suzanne and Nola have a moment to pop in. Hope you're feeling better Suzanne! I hope things have settled down with your coursework, Nola!

Broni, I hope you are feeling better and continue to improve! Congrats on the baby goldfish! I hope they're doing well!

JUdy, that's quite an undertaking to put together a shed! How nice that it is up and already useful! I hope you and your hubby both got a good rest!

I can't imagine that poor teenager having 8:30 for a bedtime! When I was in high school, I often was up past 11 or 12 doing homework and studying! How can the poor boy get his work done?

to Bobbi! We hope you have a wonderful day! Enjoy your birthday and maybe even some cake and flowers! Bobbi! (We're hoping Bernie is doing well and getting stronger every day!)

Rolanda, isn't it amazing how exhausting driving a car can be? I'm so glad you had enough time to take it easy and to rest afterwards!

Heidi, I hope all the cows and calves are doing well! Have you finished, or do you expect a few more calves to be born? Have a good night!

Tight Fisted O'Farrell here.
Botox, Maybe they just ran out of leprechaun names.
I made 60+ green scones for the men's afternoon tea at the bowling club. They objected to drinking beer with green colouring added so hope they enjoyed the scones.

June, your green scones reminded me of something. when I was growing up, Mom made one "from scratch" cake a week, on Saturday. It was served as Sunday desert, ONLY time we got a dessert at dinner. Only half was served, the other half was for my Dad's brown bag lunch, 2 sandwiches and a slice of cake. As we got older, we liked to help my Mom with the cake and soon as we were able we were taught to bake this cake, one chore Mom did not have to do. Well, when I first started making the cake, about age 10, I discovered a box food coloring, 4 little bottles in a box. We might have a pink cake, a yellow cake, an orange cake, or a blue cake, but my dad put his foot down at a green cake! Said that was most unappetizing hehehe. I had not thought of that in forever, thanks for stirring the memories.

Every year for Easter, I make twice baked potatoes. The kicker is that I add food coloring. Each stuffed half potato is a different color, like Easter eggs.

Morning all!
Thanks so much everyone for the wonderful anniversary wishes. We had a lovely evening with the kids. This weekend we will celebrate alone. Or rather, with each other but no kids.

Happy Birthday Bobbi!! I hope you had a wonderful day!

MizT, I loved your 'from scratch' story. What a wonderful memory!

June, didn't you stay to watch them eat the scones? I think that was a great idea! The only difference there would have been if I had made them is that they would have been green rocks..

Heidi, green potatoes? Hmmm. I'm going to have to look up a receep for twice baked potatoes and try to work out how you did that.

Julie, how are your exercises going? Is your knee staying flexible and unsore? I know, made that word up. It's the right eaa Julie! I recognised the picture from her page in here - bit of a giveaway that way!

Empty house! One minute there were people rushing everywhere wondering where things were and how they were going to do things and what were they going to do about this and all of a sudden - peace. Until my phone just gave the text message signal - sigh... wonder who's forgotten what

Good Morning all!
Heidi, I have a real problem with food that doesn't taste like it looks. I'm not sure I would like your potatoes.
I remember drinking lemon diet coke and couldn't get my head around a black drink that tasted wrong. Coke's coke - leave it alone - don't add vanilla, cherry (god forbid) or anything else.

Bobbi, I hope you have a great day and Tami spoils you in the manner you deserve!

Broni, a lot of people spell her name wrong. Not sure how she spelled it growing up but I made her spell it with an "I" since that is how she spelled my name.
Hubby and I took the boys and went to her house for dinner. Picked up a few pizzas on the way. Dad is doing a lot better but still not strong enough to go out to dinner. Brought flowers from my dad, he asked us as he can't get out himself. We brought her two 8x10 framed photos from Mitchell's Bar Mitzvah. One was just Mitchell, which she wanted, the other was of them with Mitchell. She was mad we bought her a gift, but then happy when she saw what it was. She is going to hang them on a wall. She has more pictures displayed of my boys then she ever put on display of me and my brother. I can't even remember one of us!!!
