There's no neat and tidy with gum trees all around, MizT!

Alone again...naturally (in the house that it). As you can tell, I am tending to chores! I will when I have to, what they don't know wont hurt them. Today was watering day so I have been up since hubby left this morning, and will be alone till he gets back around 3.
Must ring the crash repairers to find out the latest about the car...

MizT... you had the right idea. I just got up from a l-o-n-g nap. The good kind where you wake up totally disoriented and have no idea what day it is.

Off to do a cow check .......

There's another new calf. I don't know if it's a heifer or bull. It runs faster than I do.

Huff, Puff, just did 30 minutes of stepping on our new WiiFit balance board. It says I'm wonderful, but I've burnt off hardly any calories! That sucks! It was very noice though and underweighed me by quite a bit. I'm not going to check what my actual weight is, but at the weight it said I was, size 10 was loose on me!

Pretty sure Heidi, but to be honest I didn't really pay attention to the weight. It says I'm overweight and probably fall over a lot when I'm walking!! That part is true....

Heidi, I'm giggling at the image of you chasing after the calf. Does being a fast runner mean it will be a good one?

I've just beaten my score at Mahjongg which means it's way past time I get some more ffuts done - like pushing sucky thing around...

It means that it is a really healthy one. I will have to sneak up on it when it's asleep to check gender and ear tag it.

Heidi, I also had to laugh at the picture of you chasing a calf. I am sure for you it is just part of the job. I also had to laugh at the thought of the cockatoos playing with the oranges and grapefruit. They found a way to amuse themselves. I would not want to have to clean mess up.
Tricia, hope the thumb is feeling better.
I don't remember what else I have read. I will be back tomorrow and hopefully be more awake.

I hate spiders! It must be spider breeding season and there are millions of them around! I am sucking them up - with brief thoughts of Charlotte's Web as I kill the buggers - and wondering why I keep feeling like they are all over me!

Are you really having BIG spider problems, Suzy? That usually means that there are lots of bugs for them to eat.

I read in the news yesterday that a couple (maybe as many as 5, but that might have been the snake bites) of people were bitten by nasty spiders and it was 'that time of year'. We have had fly problems too - I blame the horses!

And it's late again tonight - almost midnight! Hello, Friends!

Hi, Gail, vdV, June, Heidi, Suzy, Vicki, MizTricia, Rolanda, Tami, Broni, and all visitors!

Gail, good for you and hubby! Your garden must be super!

Heidi, congrats on the healthy fast new calf, whatever it is! Hopefully it will be taking a nap the next time you're in the pasture!

Rolanda, what a relief to hear that the temperatures are beginning to drop a bit! Now if we could just send you some rain!
vdV, nice to see you fly by! How was your trip home!

Oh, June, I'm so sorry the co*katoos waste your fruit! I had a picture of them using the fruit for bowling across your roof. Filling up your gutters is just plain thoughtless!

Vicki, I can't imagine waking a dog to give it a pill! Does that work? We have cats, and giving them a pill is a challenge. Come to think of it, maybe it would be easier when they're still groggy.

MizT, I hope your thumb and all of you is feeling better!

Suzy, does the self-medicating help, or only make you more tired? I hope you'll be feeling better soon!

Broni, it's good to hear that you are beginning to feel better! We have missed you!

Hi Julie and everyone else in here.
Did not have to do as much work as yesterday helping my gf shift houses so that was good.
About to go and do a bit of gardening now.

Julie, it's easy to give the dog a tablet. I just wrap it in a bit of ham and he just swallows the whole thing (and looks for more).
I'm heading home now and off to a meeting tonight - Woo Hoo! I'd much prefer to stay home and watch Survivor - Heroes and Villains.
Good night all!

Waiting to see if our anniversary weekend is on... should know in an hour or so.

Hi E! Glad to hear your mojo is back! Where did you find it so I can look there for mine?

A slice of cheese for dog meds works miracles here.

I'm covered in horse slobber - they really loiked their apples tonight.

Hello all.
I no sooner finished reading here when I noticed a spider in the KITCHEN SINK!!!! I hate spiders. This is not a daddy longlegs, but one with a bigger body. YUCK! One of the cats is currently trying to catch it. I too now feel like I'm covered in spiders.
More deadlines for me, but that comes with the territory of working out of the home.
Julie, cats are a real challenge to give medication to. Just when you think you've got the pill down their little throats and you let the cat go, out comes the pill.

Theresa, I sucked up at least a dozen daddy long legs, a couple of hundred babies, and a few of the bigger body types today. Freaked me out!

I did a stint contracting when the kids were teeny tots. A couple of days a week I'd go in for meetings and the rest of the work seemed to get done in the middle of the night! It was funny, Ally was only a few months old when they contacted me about the work and I didn't really want to do it. I came up with an hourly rate that I thought was outrageous but was the minimum I was willing to take to work while she was so young - and they paid it!!

Doing the happy dance! Thought I would be the only one interested, thought I would have to negotiate and beg - but have a whole family also anxious to see the Masterpieces of Paris exhibition in Canberra!!! Brought it up tentatively tonight, by the way, and got oohs and aahs, and I'll take holidays, and we'll have to stay overnight somewheres.... Gauguin, Cezanne, Monet and van Gogh among others!!! Wow! Like I said, doing a happy dance!

Another cool and grey day today but I did see that bright object in the sky for a few minutes earlier today. I have found out why we had this cool and rainy spell. It is spring break in our state. Schools are out, and somehow Mother Nature always knows and at least half the week is cold and/or rainy and totally YUCK.

When my girls were young, we tried to go away for half the week, one weekend and a few days, either first or last weekend of the school break. One of those weekends would be sunny and warm and one would be cold and rainy, but I had to choose a weekend in advance to get reservations. We often had to deal with rain and cool.

Today I did the sloshy thing, have the spinny thing going for undies and such, shirts and pants and towels are hanging out. It is w8indy and humidity not too high, they might dry. I am waiting for the spinny thing to finish to fold and put away undies, but a nap is what I want. Hate doing FFUTS!!

Will check back in later,

Hugs to all.

Morning all!
Happy St Pats Day! I have been married 20 years today!

Broni, hope you feel better today. I miss you here.

MizT, know what you mean about ffuts!! Our weather seems to have gone overnight from 100% humidity and hot to needing a sweater early in the day. The change happens so quickly! This is my favourite time of year - not so hot that you wish you had air conditioning, and not so cold that warm clothes won't keep you warm.

Good mAen everyone. I've been MIA for a couple of days and looks like I missed a LOT!!! Can't remember everything (won't even try!!) I've been on sinus meds for a week now, a bit better but it messes with my sleep.
Congrats to Suzy & hubby on 20 years! Darrell & I are going on 19 this December.
Happy St. Pat's day to all. Had more to say, will come back when (or IF) I remember what it was. Hugs & Love to all!! TTFN

Thank you June and Suzanne!
I was just talking to hubby about the odds. We had been in the same country a total of 6 weeks and 3 days before our wedding day, broken up over 18 months, and about 2 weeks when we got engaged. Who woulda thunk?

Actually that's not quite true now that I think about it. I was in the US another 3 weeks after I left hubby in CA, but he was in CA and I was in Michigan, Kentucky and North Carolina.
