TIME FOR GOOD NEWS!!!
I got home from our brief Lion's Club meeting to find a newborn calf! One of the last three stragglers... all first time mothers... had a nice bull calf. Mama is Sassy's youngest daughter.

Nice to see some good news Heidi.
Victoria I spend too much time relaxing, especially in from of this machine! I am also very good at procrastinating! I had thought of painting another wall in the computer room while hubby is away, then I think of the other things I could be doing and end up doing very little!

Good evening all...and I do hope whatever time zone you are in that balance is soon restored, and that what ever time it is, you are having a good day. Please allow me a personal observation and comment....
I have read about 20 pages trying to get back in the flow, and have read so much bad news, and very little in the way of good news, that I can only pray for favorable change.
To all who have proven that we are a bunch of survivors and show why the song lyrics " We Will Survive" continually revolves in my mind, I offer kudos for being such strong compassionate, loving people who lend their shoulders to others while undergoing much personal pain and stress, while encouraging one and all to know that what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger...... you are amazing people!..... You fly the flag of womanhood that I am so happy to stand under, with all of you as partners in life. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your strength, courage, perseverance, compassion and all of that good stuff... You have seen me through some rough times and in good...I'm grateful. You have scolded me and also praised me, I'm thankful!
It is really an honor to be a part of a group such as this! It has been an honor that I didn't expect when I was befriended by you and in turn was able to friend you!
Please know that no one here walks alone. God, first and foremost of course, but we also have each other and that is a very comforting thought and a great situation to be in! Peace walks with us as we need!

Mamacita, as always you do have a way with words. I agree about the friendship and support from this site. It has helped me through some tough, and some good times.
Juli, sorry to hear about your loss. I do hope you and hubby are able to cope. Please start taking care of your knee.
Heidi, sent you an email with a picture I thought you might like.
Don't remember what else I have read and I am going to say nite-nite. I will be back tomorrow.

Yep, only 2 to go. One of those 2 looks like she'll be any day now. The other looks like she slipped her calf. I'm gonna have the Vet check her out in 10 days when we work the calves for the first time.

Talked to the main PO hub. The Budgies haven't shown up in Kentucky yet. Which is strange because they left Tennessee (neighboring state) 16 hours ago.

I heard from Kevin earlier. We are now going to the coast on Friday evening after work. The key will be in the door waiting for us. WooHoo! It's getting closer to holiday time.
I'll be off to the supermarket this afternoon to pick up a gift card. The boys can use it to buy their food for next week.

Mamcita, I so admire your ability to express yourself with such wonderful sentiments.
We have 'another' new shopping centre nesr us so I decided I would pay it a visit today. I had heard the parking could be a bit of a problem so I took extra care to note that I had parked in green A1. Bought some milk and a few things in Aldi (and the gift for our friends), a bit of lunch (octpus salad0 and then decided to go back to the car. I tried every level and every colour but do you think I could find the car. About 3/4 hour later, carrying my shopping I eventually tried a slightly different exit...and bingo! there was green A1. I am still shaking all over....and exhausted. Just before I went my friend told me she also lost her car. That was why I thought I was being so careful!

Oh June, I think we have all experienced that at least once in our lives, how terrifying the feeling. These days, I go around locking and unlocking my car hoping that I will hear it do it's little 'Yes, I'm locked' beep!
I remember once going into an unfamiliar large shopping centre and forgot which entrance I came in, I am usually so careful to be aware of landmarks, but I started getting quite stressed walking up and down the arcade. Eventually, I realised I was on the wrong level...SHUT UP, you've done it too!

I think we've all done that. I am very aware of what entrance/lift I use especially in the city. One of the carparks has multi levels and they all look alike. I'm always super alert and double check my carpark in there.

I have done that too! These days I take note of the shop right near the entrance that I come in at so I can make sure I leave the same way. The problem with that is that some stores are multi-level... And you also have to remember the shop you took note of, which can be difficult when you have half a brain!

A bit more relaxed Suzy but because I was carrying two bags of shopping my body is more achey than when I painted the ceiling. I think I was more annoyed because I had made such careful note of everything so that I could get back to the car easily. I even asked the 'trolly collecter' and he was too thick to know.

greetings, friends! I do want to say how much I enjoy all the posts you put up here. really wish I could comment on each one, but between medication and one handed typing, it ain't gonna happen. Perhaps it will get better soon, only one more week till I get out of this splint, with a thumb big around as . . . OK, circle of finger/thumb will not go around it!!

improvement, I can move all the fingers. Swelling is going down, I am exercising all the joints. That ring finger sure feels bruised! It is probably good I do not know what they did to remove those rings.

back to bed for me, again, see you later, hugs to all, and thanks for being here,

Most of the nearby shopping centres here are all one level.. so no multi levels to worry about, only which entrance did I go when unfamilar with the Shopping Centre.

Good morning everyone. It was still snowing here last night when I went to bed and the grass was white. The snow is all gone now, but it's supposed to rain today. A few of my perennials that were up a fair bit have been slightly flattened, but I hope they'll rally. I have noticed the neighbour's tulips are kind of flattened. Oh no!!!

Heidi, hope the birds arrived safely. Congrats on the new calf.

June, hope you are feeling better today. We once rented a car, stopped at a shopping mall, and we couldn't remember where we had parked. The other thing is we didn't even know what kind or colour the car was. We had to go up and down every aisle and look for the car rental sticker on the bumper. Duh.

I enjoy your posts, Mamacita. It makes me realize I should spend less time complaining and more time being thankful for what I have. I guess complaining is part of human nature, and this site has many sympathetic ears.

MizT, glad to hear the recovery process is progressing well. Please don't overdo it.

Gail, will there be a YouTube posting or FB posting of your daughter's gig night?

TTFN.

Theresa, funny you should ask. I just jokingly said I should post it on youtube and she can be the next Justin Bieber or whatever his name is. Hubby said the video will need a lot of work! Unfortunately, the lighting was very dark, and it was only amateur high school technical thingys so the sound quality isn't great. The girl she was singing with we could hardly hear, but my daughter's voice is quite discernible. She has a deep, full voice and it sounded great.

Just got the computer back after being kicked off earlier tonight... Withdrawal symptoms easing...

June, I'm going to send you a PM...

MizT, I can tell you are feeling a bit better because your posts are getting longer! Yay! I don't know about everyone else, but I'm just glad to see you here, responding to posts or not.

I'm proud to say that I've never lost my vehicle in a parking lot. I always have had either a van or a truck with an extra high topper, so it stands out from a distance in any lot. All I need to do is remember the general area that I left it in, and voila! Thar she be.

Theresa, wrong time of year for snow isn't it? I think you've probably had enough of that by now... Warm hugs.

Heidi, it's like that in SoCal. It's so expensive to build multi-level buildings to earthquake codes that parking lots are easy to negotiate! Do you have the birds yet? Your avatar makes me feel like TipTap is looking out at me...

Heidi, good idea! Let's make a sudoku meet especially so the girls can get together!

I've told you that Ally has been teaching herself to sing while playing guitar. I wish she would put as much effort into her school work - she'd be a 100% student in every subject! In the last couple of days she has been experimenting with different vocal sounds. I haven't told her I have noticed in case it makes her self conscious, but I think she is trying to work out who she is as a singer. It's a wonderful thing to listen to as a Mum, even a super critical one. I do cringe at some of her experiments, just not where she can see me!

Hi everyone.
Hope the birds turn up soon Heidi.
Suzi & Gail you both have talented daughters.
I never have trouble finding my car in a multi storey carpark.
But I sometimes have trouble identifying my car in the main street and stand there trying to unlock someone elses.
One day I was trying to unlock the boot of this car and the people were sitting in it.!!!!
I walked off muttering when I realised it was the wrong car. They probably thought I was mad.

Visited my FIL for a couple of hours this afternoon.
I had asked the nurse yesterday why if he was in so much pain, could he not have his morphine by IV ?
I visited him this morning and they have put a line into his stomach and so can give him the morphine direct.
Thank heavens. I hope this makes it a bit easier for him.

Suzy, we do get the odd bit of snow at this time, maybe every few years ... I am tired of snow now; bring on summer.

Heidi ... oh no ... I thought sure your first post would be about the birds arriving safely.

Viv, I haven't done that, but I have put my groceries in someone else's cart, or walked off with their cart, or talked to the people with the cart because I assumed my husband was right behind me!
