Farron (the tractor mechanic) has been here and taken off the busted hydrolic hose. He hopes to have a new one made and installed by the end of the day.
I love my tractor, but I'm beginning to suspect that it doesn't like me.

I finally have the lights on my Christmas tree. I still need to bring up the boxes of ornaments and decorate the tree. I probably won't be able to do that until tonight because I'll be working with Robert all afternoon replacing a bunch of busted hinges on gates around the farm.

Heidi: That is a bummer about the tractor!! Where we live there is a lot of farm property. I don't know how those folks get things done without their equipment working properly.

I don't know how I can get anything done without my tractor, either. In fact, the work just piles up without it. In an emergency, I have to ask a neighbor to help. They do the same with me.

Good morning everyone.
Heidi..
I'm happy to hear that you found Surprise's Mum.It would have mean't a lot of extra work for you if you had to feed her too.As for the tractor..bugger.
June..still hoping like mad, that the radiation works its miracle and doesn't cause any other probs.
Continued good wishes to Rolanda's Mum,Julie,Lizzy,Bill,Suzy's tummy,Broni's fingers,Teresa's SIL,MizT's bruises and all who need them.
Judy will be home today now. They kept her in to do more tests and found more cancer in the other breast but luckily it is very small. They hope the chemo will fix it and she won't have to have more surgery.

Well, Robert and I got a lot done while IH was out of town. Today we replaced hinges/bolts holding up gates and rehung them. Several of the gates were hung on lag hinges, and the weight of the steel gates can pull them out of the post. Instead, I drilled the holes through the posts and installed hinges with bolts that go through the posts and are attached with washers and nuts. They can't pull out now. We also rebuilt 3 heavy duty mineral feeders that the cattle tore up.

Up fairly early today, it's our fortnightly shopping day. I will do the fresh shopping for the Chrissy Day food on Wednesday, leaving Thursday for preparations.
I was woken up to the sound of Nibbles rustling around the bags containing the pressies, she must have been able to smell hers! So I was a little shocked when I heard Scott's voice at 5am saying 'We'll have to move them'.
'Not at 5am we wont' was my terse reply!

It's still raining.
The temps are supposed to drop below freezing in a little while. That means that the moisture already down will freeze into ice, and we're supposed to get a coating of snow on top.
It's a good time to stay inside and watch videos.

Forgot to mention, we are meeting up with 'The Gang' on Sunday for a Christmas lunch. Kate, Liz and Bean will be there, unfortunately vdV and his family are away so his company will be missed.
We'll be thinking of you, and have a drink to your health.

Good Evening, fellow Sudokuaholics! I hope all is well in everyone's life right now!
Broni, great news from Teresa about her SIL. I hope it continues that way, so continued positive thoughts & prayers!
Gail, your dinner menu sounds wongerful! But what is psht cream for the brandy snaps? Great news that Bill is doing well.
Tami, hope the day went well and all the troublemakers stayed home! Yay for two weeks of vacation, though you'll probably be thinking of/planning the party for Mitchell.
Heidi, great news about Surprise and Mum. Not so great news about the tractor hose, at least on page 26. Hopefully it can be custom made quickly and inexpensively!

Gail, I wish I was finished. I'm doing a one day at a time thing... I would love it if you started posting your fortnightly menu again - just the motivation I need to try to kooc again :-S
Heidi, hope that was the last thing to go wrong with your tractor.
June, sending piles of vibes, thoughts and wishes to your friend.
Nola, I'm sorry to hear the they found more cancer. I hope the chemo does fix it for Judy and she doesn't need more surgery.
Broni - just saw your 'snap' post!
Tami, hope you enjoyed the game.
Julie, I wondered about the psht too...

I will post this fortnight's menu, but it is a bit up in the air due to the fact that there are lunches to attend, so dinner those nights are a slap dash affair. Of course no-one will want to eat a lot, let alone cook, after Christmas, so it will be left-overs for a couple of days.
Plus I dont plan for Fridays, because hubby and I usually do a 'gail' for brekky or lunch!
It's a hard life, but somebody has to do it...

Nola, thoughts are with Judy. I am sure they will keep close watch on that other small lump and they would not remove it now she has started the chemo. My friend is having deep penetration Ray and she has been told she will be severely burnt. The ray treatment will continue till the end of January. After that it will just be wait and see, I guess.
Heidi, hope the tractor is soon fixed. After growing up on a farm I fully understand the importance of farm machinery and it's ability to break down.
Gail say HI to the gang tomorrow. I am sure you will enjoy the day. We hope to get to Melbourne mid to late January to look after one grandson .It has been suggested we take on a trip on Puffing Billy.
Nice photo of your friend Suzanne.
