Suzy, you HAVE to report this family. I am really beginning to think that boy may be being abused. I do have problems in class at times, I just know how to get around them most of the time. I like to make the students think of something. Today's fact was that potato chips were invented in 1853. Tomorrow's (Aug 25) is that Arthur Ashe became the first African-American to win the U. S. tennis championship. I try to use something they will enjoy. I use famous birthdays. One of my little boys last year got really upset with me when I forgot to write a new fun fact.

I agree with Tami that that boy HAS to be reported, as well as his family. There is something very wrong when an 8 year old is sexually harassing people. It needs to stop.

Rolanda, your mother, grandmother and aunt all share a birthday?? Wow!! Wishes to your mother and aunt for a lovely day!!
Tami, I just sent Ebob a text message reminding her to find out his name. His sister is about 12 and at high school to she will casually ask her today... This kid is seriously messed up. Something is going on!

Suzy, there is definitely something going on. A child like that is usually acting out what is being done to them.

Good afternoon all - I never seem to make it during the morning.
to Mariana (hope she pops in to see us) and to Rolanda's Mum and Aunt.
I'll add my Bro to this even though he's not 60 until tomorrow and is in Greece, on the island of Ithaki, where our grandfather was born, to celebrate his big day. Happy Birthday, Trevor!

Suzy - I agree with everyone else - something needs to be done. An 8yo boy usually is not interested in girls or s#x.
Just going on my grandson, who is nearly 12 and just at the very beginning of puberty (so cute in his case - but that's another story). At 8. girls were of NO interest at all to him. I'm sure Tami could vouch for that with her boys.
Something or somebody has opened this boy's eyes far too early. It must give you such a creepy feeling! (It gives me one that I have 4 granddaughters that some 8YO could be ogling. yechh)

Tami - here's another fun fact for August if you haven't used it yet!
(A post on Easy P1 today from Sue OK)
AN INTERESTING FACT ABOUT AUGUST 2010.
This August has
5 Sundays,
5 Mondays,
5 Tuesdays,
All in one month. It happens once in 823 years.
I probably will miss it next time

Afternoon all!
For my fellow sun spot people: Back from the skin doc. I've got the usual frozen spots on my hands and forearms. I didn't count how many but guess I will know when the blisters come up. One spot on my calf he said was a BCC but he froze it, no biopsy so I don't count those. The one on my jaw is a BCC but with VERY unusual colours. The biopsy will confirm, but I've never had a doc be wrong yet. 8 September for that - cut and stitch.

Re boy: Ebob wasn't able to find out his last name today but will keep trying. I will call DOCS with Ebob sitting beside me for verification because most places (police included) won't accept second hand info.
Cyn, I love your August fact! I asked hubby what he was like at 8, but it's a fair few years ago for him. The info about your grandson was valuable. Happy Birthday to your brother!!
I know I've missed a few people's posts. I hate it when I do that. I blame being distracted today.

I forgot the truly tragic news from today. I have a spot that I've had checked before that I knew was nothing but it freaks out hubby. I couldn't remember what the doc called it so I asked again today so I could reassure hubby - he gave it its common name - WISDOM SPOT!!! I am old enough to have age spots!!!! Waaaaa!!!!!!

Thought I might send some thoughts, wishes and SA vibes into the ether. There are a bunch of non-sudoku people out there who could use them right now. The miners in Chile for example. The soldiers and families in Afghanistan. There are more but I think you get the gist. I'll add Dino who wants to finish recording her CD but her asthma is playing up.

Suzy - Col will be your friend (or anyone's) on FB - I think he's Gail's - but he doesn't play any of the games except for Bejeweled, F/Feud, Mahjong Dimensions - that type of thing, but nothing that ends in 'ville' or has treasure!

Rolanda, may I add my belated wishes for your Mother's Birthday. With all her recent problems , she is doing well for 91.
Busy day as I took Laura to see the "Tinkerbell" movie. There were three adults and three little girls in the theatre.
Then took Laura to Physi later and home. I will have a few days to myself now as she will be at daycare.
Ken is home, had a short sleep and then went to bowls.
Suzy, thanks for your thoughts. Things seem feel a lot better the last couple of days than last week.I feel a lot more confident about making our trip to Honolulu and the cruise home.

Suzy, may I add my thoughts to those you expressed earlier, and specifically add mine for the young wife and family of the latest Australian soldier to die serving in Afghanistan. To her, her young children and his family, my deepest condolences and sadness, he should not have been there.

Good Morning sudokuland. Guess what? I have windows open! Won't be for long as temps will rise quickly, but first airing out the house has had in weeks! It feels so good. Twas 70 when I opened them.
Suzy I will look today to see if my weather site has h9story of weather for Oz. I can check history back years for my location. I would like to see what your dew points were last summer for you too. Gee, I do not know what city you are near or even what state you are in! I do think your dew points are much lower than ours though.
June, when is your trip to Hawaii? /Sounds like a wonderful trip for you and Ken.
A late happy birthday to all the celebrants, Rolanda's Mum and aunt, CynB's brother and any I missed.
Time for coffee, I will be back later, think I will take it to the porch today for a change. Hugs to all and extras.

Suzy, just for fun, I checked Canberra for 2 weeks, Dec 25 to Jan 7, last year. Dew point was mostly 50 to 55 range, a couple of 60's in there for one day but quickly back down. So I can access history of major cities in Australia. Send me private message with your nearest large city if you want me to check your area.

Good morning everyone. I have read all the comments with my morning coffee. Hugs to all who need it.
June, you must be very glad Ken is home. What a nice trip you are planning. When do you leave?
MizT, isn't it nice to be able to go outside with your coffee? I've been doing so for at least the last two weeks. So peaceful and pleasant when the temps aren't too high.
I am sitting here watching out the window as the gas company is digging up the road about 6 feet from our house. Call me paranoid, but when I see work being done on gas lines I get a bit nervous.
I am looking after the grandies tonight while my daughter and SIL go to a drive-in movie. I think I better have a nap at some point today (depending on how long the work outside on the gas line goes because they are very noisy).
Suzy, BCCs, no matter how small, are always a worry. Thinking good thoughts for you!
Gotta run, I have to go see my daughter and then do a lot of swearing. TTFN.

Suzy, is your BCC a cut and stitch cause it is on your face? Or because of the size of it? Will be thinking of you when you have this done. Not the worse thing to happen but annoying to have to hear them working on your face.
My dermatologist calls your WISDOM SPOTS ( love that name) Over 29 spots hehehe. His patients must have not liked the name age spots. I must remember to tell him your doc's mame for them. I like Wisdom spots much better.
Well, the windows are now closed. but it was nice while it lasted, Perhaps again tomorrow??

SUZY, thanks for the PM, I found your nearest city and did a 2 week check Dec 25 to Jan 8. Your dew points for that period ranged from 55 to 65, but most were right around 60. Would that time period be your hottest part of the year? I might look at more dates later.
Back to collecting paper work today, I hate that and this thumb complains shuffling papers, Dumb thumb.
Off to warm and exercise that silly thumb. back later.

and
everybody. IH just surprised me and left for 2+ days at the plant.
Robert and I still have some work to do on the fence that I'd forgotten about. We need to use the wood from the old fence and make a small escape door next to the new barn, as well as top the sections of the new paneled fence with boards. Tomorrow I go back to the fair. I want to pick up a couple more butterflies for the sunroom. These are exotic butterflies from a Peruvian Butterfly Farm. They let them die a natural death from old age, then mount and frame them. I got 2 of them on Sunday, but have decided that I want to add 2 more.

Good morning. Looks like it will be a nice day. Not sure what our plans will be but I do have to get onto more sewing of those aprons for D#1.
We leave here on 27 September, fly to Honolulu for a couple of days and then cruise home, via Tahiti, There are a group of 50 of us from the local area so should be fun!

Heidi, time for you to relax now (in your sun room) and celebrate the fact that you have the house to yourself.
I like the term wisdom spots as well. I must be really wise by now ... it seems every time I turn around I have more proof of my wisdom.
I was just listening to the video on my page ... I think I forgot to mention that I put one up. It's a video of someone that I enjoyed very much listening to (he died of cancer a few years ago and I miss him). I had it cranked up loud and now the cats are not happy with me.
I have one of the outside cats (Sweetie, an orange tabby) in the house because he was chasing a baby chipmunk. In the last month or so he has given us two dead baby chipmunks, a dead baby mouse, three dead birds. I couldn't bear to see him annihilate the chipmunk today. Our cats are also not happy to see him in the house. I hear growling and hissing as we speak. Maybe I should just leave the house for a while and let them sort it all out themselves.
Gotta go fling food. TTFN.

Morning all!
Cyn, but will he agree to be neighbours on the ville games if nothing is sent to him? My farm won't let me expand until I get 2 more!!
June, our movie theatre is often like that. When I was a youngun there was one theatre with upstairs and downstairs, an organ that was never played, (like they used for the old silent movies), big statues - though I can't remember what they were, a huge screen and great aisles for rolling jaffas. A true old fashioned movie theatre. Since then it has been converted into 5 smaller theatres with stadium style seating and carpet - no good for jaffas!
My dream holiday is a cruise. I'd love to cruise north while there is still ice to see. I hope you get to go and have a wonderful time, not just because it sounds fantastic, but also because it means things are going well at home.
