Good afternoon my friends.
Yes dinner was very noice, roast pork, cracking and homemade apple sauce follow by banana fritters (homemade by possum also) Company was good too, strange how Teresa has only been gone less that two weeks and we still could not catch up on all our goss.
MizT, physi is physiotherapy.
Zusy, OMG! Just let her know you love her and show her that most families are happy. Love and Hugs my friend.

Agree with all our friends here, very happy to hear of your friend's improvements June ♥
Hubby has restless leg syndrome too, much better now that he gets a grease and oil change every two days. His was due to the build-up of toxins and before treatment it would keep him awake for ages if he went to bed at the 'wrong' time. Now it is just a random occurrence, and he says it feels like a compulsion to move his legs.

Hi everyone! Just spent a day with my sister - went to visit another old folks' home ... SO horrible! I wish we hadn't seen the gorgeous one first! This one smelt nasty, looked dreary and depressing... sigh!
Suzy - thinking of you! Hope things improve. ♥
June, glad your friend is doing well.
Heidi, love the photos of your new room - very spiffy! :)
Catch you all later. :D

Laura goes to Physical Culture I think they call it. She is in a competition this Saturday. She has her moments. Sometimes she just sits on the floor because she says she feels tired.Or she does not try if she is not sure what they are doing. They march around the room with their noses stuck in the air. When she first started she could not skip so when they had to start skipping she would just stop. Then all the other girls (under 5 at that stage would pile up behind her. It is funny watching them all.

Evening all,
Gained a little strength by trying to clean her room. Nothing like a good bit of annoyance to help you get through a bit of time without feeling sad.
June, your news makes me want to do a happy dance! It is going to continue, it is going to continue, it is going to continue.... if I wish it, it will happen!
Judy, I'm so sorry you had to see that today. It would have been difficult to not feel for the people who live there. I hope you find something better.
To all the people with restless leg syndrome - yikes! When I get a restless brain attack at least I can put on a movie to distract it. I can't imagine what having restless legs is like.
MizT, I love your questions!
Ally has just got a call from a friend of hers so is getting to talk all of this over with her. I hope it helps her because she's been in a bit of a daze today.

Someone asked about itching, was it MizT? I was going crazy with the itch, even without any bandages and was soooo looking forward to getting the stitches out today so I could finally rub it and relieve the itch. He covered it with steri-strips! He negotiated with me because he knows about my reaction to them, and I said I'd make it work some how. So I am still itchy! If I can make it, Saturday lunch time I can take them off. He said to try for as long as I can up until then.

It was MizT.
My sister is so sensitive to most medical adhesives. When she was in hospital for a period of time, she had to have dressings on all the time. She kept complaining about them feeling like they were burning her and she was getting short shrift by the staff. Eventually I insisted that they take them off and have a look, and it looked like she had been branded! Wherever the tape was, she had a raised red welt that looked like a burn mark. From that time on they only used the most expensive tape that was for super sensitive skins. The only thing that would relieve the pain she felt originally was applying Mylanta, an antacid medicine! I now have it in the house for heartburn, stings and burns!

Julie... before I read other posts and forget...... I used to have horrible problems with restless leg syndrome. Then I read that calcium supplementation helped. I take Citracal now and no more problem. It only took a few days of it to see results, too!!!

Ouch Gail! Sometimes hospital staff can be a bit stoopid. When I had my hister I woke up with tape all around one leg. Once I was with it enough I mentioned to the nurses that I was allergic to adhesives. They did the heavy sigh thing when I answered yes please to having it changed - until they saw it. They looked so guilty!! Wish I'd known about the Mylanta then. Think I'll buy a bottle for when I take the strips off...

OK Broni, I should not abbreviated in the first place.Just slept for a couple of hours in front of the TV again!!!!
My sister gave Laura a head band she brought back from Guatemala. Laura wore it when we went shopping but it kept slipping so I put it in my bag. It must have come out when I took out my purse so I have lost it.I will have to go back to the shops tomorrow to see if it has been picked up. It was covered in the traditional material with 5 little traditional dolls on it. Laura is not very happy!

Hi all. Read the posts earlier but forgot what I have read.
Suzy, glad you are seeming a little more like yourself and posting again.
Heidi, take care of that back. You don't want to undo the good of the epidural.
I don't remember anything else I have read so I am going to say goodnight.

June, wonderful news of your friend. ♥
Suzy, whilst flicking thru a crafty mag yesterday, I viewed a small wall hanging, on it it says.. ' When life deals you scraps, make a quilt ' !
Yesterday AM, I had a Dermatologist Appt, Dr is doing a Cut and Stitch on the 5th Oct, lower left leg near the ankle. He thinks it is a nothing, but not 100% sure.
(((Hugs))) to all and sundry ♥

Just seeing Rolanda mention the cut and stitch (good luck, hope Doc is right that it is nothing) reminded me that my sis, who you might remember had bowel cancer surgery last Nov had her follow up colonoscopy earlier this week. They removed another polyp, Doc assures her this one will be OK - he said that last time, so we wait on tenterhooks.

June - hope you find the headband!
Heidi - good news about the lovebirds!
Suzy - still in my thoughts today - keep busy, keep positive and the offer I made was genuine.
Tami - it was nice to see Bobbi here, but it happened just after Suzy's bombshell and I don't know that many of us acknowledged her.
Judy - thinking of you as you try to find the right place for your folks - it is sad to see just what is on offer. Even if you do find a place that seems good - try to follow some relatives out into the car park and question them on their thoughts on the place.

Rolanda, sorry to hear about the cut and stitch, none of us spotty people ever want to hear that. I do hope yours comes back as nothing! Is this the same spot he had been watching a while? Do remind us when it is time for the op, us older ladies have trouble remembering.
CynB, dohope your sister's polyp is OK, and another nothing. Been there, had to have REAL surgery, not just removed during colonoscopy, but mine was fine, hope same for your sister. Will be thinking about her. When will results be back?
Time for bed here, I am tired, and off schedule, watching the Finale of America's got Talent. Made a 2 hour show of it, could have done it in 30 minutes, way to long.
Hugs to all, and sending good thoughts and get well wishes for all needing them.
