Back from the meeting. Full tummy, but very tired. IH came back from the plant to go to the meeting, and will drive back to the plant very early tomorrow morning. Robert was going to meet us there, but his truck got a flat tire, and didn't have a spare, so I picked him up and took him home. Tomorrow morning we're going to pick up his jack and spare and take them to his truck to change the flat.

Judy, fear not, no chocolate Alps were harmed in the making of these tails of a male chook! Imagine, if you will, a blend of naughties that tastes as close as damn it to the afore mentioned chocky.
I believe Irish Cream, hazelnut liqueur, chocolate liqueur, honey and cream have something to do with it...

We don't have them down here either. Sporting groups etc have fund raisers where you order dozens of them. The doughnuts are delivered from the lucky place that does have them, we devour them in a few minutes, then wish we'd ordered dozens more!

KRISPY KREME IS NOT JUST A DONUT!!!!! You have to eat one to realize that. I am lucky. There are several near me. There was one a few blocks from where I grew up. We would go on a girl scout field trip there and watch the machine make the donuts. There is nothing better than cold milk and a KK donut that has just been made and ia still warm. They are the best!!!!!!!!

I just found the coolest story. Some guy in Florida did not like cats until his son moved out and left the cat. Cat was pregnant so now dad has cat and 5 kittens. What he did after that is great. This is definitely a warm and fuzzy story (pun intended)

I remember where I was when I had my first Krispy Kreme doughnut. We were at a mall in Orange County. A new KK store had opened and cars were lining up for 40 minutes to buy them at the drive through. We decided to walk over to find out all the fuss was about. I don't know how long we stood in line. We were lost in the moment. Watching the doughnuts being made was like being at Disneyland. We bought our first ever KKs, not the plain ones that we get through the fund raisers down her, creamy junky ones that looked like calories in a box. They melted in our mouths. We were never the same again...

I did eventually find that story Tami, very cute.
Accidentally though, I ended up reading and watching another fascinating story.

This is probably sacrilege, but I've never developed a taste for Krispy Kreme donuts. And I have a serious sweet tooth. It's just as well. If I did, I'd probably weigh 400 lbs now. KK donuts are everywhere here.

I join Heidi, never developed a taste for KK donuts, at least not the plain. I would eat the lemon filled though, even if they did make me quessy later.

Suzy, LOVED your story of your first donut. A true sign of addiction, you know!!

Let me tell you this little tale, concerns alcohol addiction, but you could sub donuts

Doctors have found that patients who can describe their first ever drink in terms as glowing as Suzy's donut story, were very likely to be or to become alcoholics.

Time for a nap here, love and hugs to all.

Busy day... kind of. I helped Robert with his flat tire. The truck had no spare, so he jacked up the truck, took off the flat, and off we went on an adventure. The tire couldn't be repaired because the side under the truck was dry rotted (The side facing out looked nearly new) so we went looking for a replacement. Nobody in the area had one in stock that size, new or used, so we got a used one a tiny bit smaller and installed it. We also ordered 2 new ones the right size. They'll be in on Monday morning. Robert will have the new ones mounted on the rear, then the 2 best will go on the front. The leftover one will work as a spare.

I've installed some plant hanger brackets in the sunroom, and I'm hanging some of the orchids. It's looking more and more like a tropical paradise in there.

Tami, we found a tiny little KK store in Sydney. It was at a train station - don't think the doughnuts were made on site. I definitely wouldn't have become a huge fan based on the doughnuts I had there. I wonder if we even have the Disneyland type stores in Oz?

MizT, lol! Thank goodness it wasn't alcohol!

Heidi, it's a good thing that we only see them during fund raisers...

Hi everyone.
Sounds lovely Heidi, and I admired your sunroom pix.
Gregs test came back and he has diabetes and a cyst on the brain. He has had bad headaches for yrs which is why they did a cat scan.He waits now for a specialist appointment in Brisbane which could be months away.
He isn't too worried, sure they can do something.
I have am having 3 days off work to be treated for scabies which I caught from work as many of my colleagues have to.The cream hasn't worked so now I try "Ivermectin"used on cattle.Great fun..NOT.
I'm glad I'm not a doughnut fan but on the other hand I have never tasted a KK one.
I should be able to pop back in again today after shopping etc...the chemist didn't have the meds so I have to go back.
Catch you all later.

Rolanda, Brenda's hubby agrees with your son. Did you see he offered to do circus tricks for one? hehe

For non-fb people.. Nomnom decided that KKs smelled like his kind of dinner. He thought that maybe if he did circus tricks he'd get some. Imagine a kitten standing on his tiptoes, stretched as high as he can, with arms (front legs - hehe) stretched as high as they can go, then jumping as high as his front legs and landing with a full twist. Another good technique is knocking one out of the selfish people's hands.

Morning Nola, my first thought was when I read your post was that I would be in Brisbane with blackmail letters trying to get Greg in quicker. A bit of commonsense then wove it's way into my scrambled eggs. I hope the new eating plan he'll have to have helps him feel much better. And I hope he gets in quicker than 'months'.

And yikes about the scabies! My middle brother dated a nurse who worked at a retirement home when he was a youngun. He came home with scabies once - the weekend my new boyfriend came down from Sydney to meet the family. Mum washed every sheet and blanket in the house. My bro didn't tell her that the cream didn't work and Mum ended up having to do it all again a few weeks later.

Your post was very calm considering the news it contained for both of you. Sending all kinds of hugs, thoughts, wishes and love...
