Just glanced through posts. Congratulations G Aunt Rolanda. Welcome to Steven Jai.
Glad the second tank is now safely in place,
Hi to everyone else. Just been a bit busy to be on here. And sorry but no time to be a pirate.

Hi all!
Congratulations to Gr Aunt Rolanda.
Steven Jai
CynB, I saw your message about Susan - I hope she likes rain! I'm actually available every day (except Sunday - Hubby and I need to have a day together) that she is visiting.
I had a lovely visit with my friends yesterday. One of them lost her hubby to cancer last year and she has just moved house. We went to her new place for lunch and stayed chatting and drinking cuppas until it got dark. Unfortunately it was raining all the way home - I love driving on the freeway in the dark and rain (not!). One friend had a 2 and a half hour drive home - I didn't envy her at all.
#1 son will get his new/2nd hand car this afternoon. The money is paid and the paperwork is complete - I think I've done my share. He is very excited about it. I suppose if you drive a 19 year old car then upgrading to a 4 year old car is a very big improvement.

BRONI, thanks, yes, that is what kind of flies. They were imported from Argentina to kill the red imported fire ant, that came from Argentina. Now the fire ant ws accidently imported, hitched a ride here on/in something. I have not found out when the flies were released in our area, or where, but they are here for sure. One just flew into my eye and it was not comfy.
Too tired to finish reading, I will catch up tomorrow. Hugs to all of you.

Welcome Steven Jai. Congrats Great Aunty Rolanda.
Peter, Bean and Lachie were in my thoughts today. His mother's funeral was at 12.30 this afternoon.
Bean posted some photos on the other page of the decoration she did on her MIL's casket. Very sweet.

I was a bad girl yesterday. After the trauma of seeing my water tank flying up in the air and off a bridge, I felt I deserved to splurge a bit. The farm store where I got the replacement is next door to the pet shop. ..... wait for it....... I bought another Budgie. I couldn't resist this baby. Similar in appearance to my avatar, but with a white ring encircling the head just below the eyes.

Today is Robert's last day here for a while. We're taking his truck in this morning for 2 new tires and a new windshield, and while they're being installed, he'll be working here on the tractor.
There's more hay that needs to be moved off the field and stored inside

Morning Friends. Another sunny day here but headed for HOT again, with a high of 97. Wondering if that will be a record for the date, know itis hot for this time of year. Fall should be in the air, cool nights, warm days, low humidity and beautiful blue skies. Nope, have not see that!!
More phone calls and paperwork today, but at least no long days out for much of this week. That is good.
Heidi, hope you and Robert have a good day and lots of hay gets stored away in the new barn. Is this hay grown and cut on your farm? Congrats on the new baby, How many Budgies do you have now? Any hopes to breed and raise those also? Do you name your birdies?
SUZY, hope you get things in your brain in order so you are not feeling so scrambled. Is scrambled brain syndrome just from too much out of your control now?? Hope things get better for you and your family soon.
Rolanda, congrats on the birth of another great nephew. Welcome Stephen Jai! [welcome]Seven you say? Does this one live nearby, so you can get a cuddle with the wee one? Jai, is that pronounced as Jay?

JUNE, I could not get my mind around the talk like a pirate thing either, so we can walk the plank together!
Bean, here are wishes for a nice refreshing sleep after your emotional day. Hugs to you and your family after the burial of your MIL.
Time to make my breakfast. Hubby just grabed a bagel and juice, so I might have cereal or some left over quiche, decisions, decisions.

MizT... This hay does not go in the new barn. That has been full for a long time. This hay goes in a shed behind the horse barn. It's not the best quality. It was cut on a neighbor's field, and was overly mature. IH contracted with the neighbor to get that hay. I didn't want it because of the inferior quality.
I now have 11 Budgies. I do hope to breed them eventually. They're all too young right now.

Today is not cooperating. Robert started to move the hay, and on the very first load, the hay hauler got a flat tire.
This is the same tire that caused the problems last time. Last time, I had to get a new rim, new bearings and a new inner tube. It went flat at the same place on the road, with a full load of hay aboard. I left it to Robert to unload and move the hay hauler this time. Last time, I ended up having a collision with a little sports car.

Heidi, of course I'm not Humpty Dumpty - he broke, I'm scrambled - duh!
I'm guessing this is Robert's last day because of the op. Please tell him I'm thinking of him.
MizT, glad you don't have to go out much this week. Some times I just want to stay home and get things done - or nothing done at all! Working out why I'm scrambled would require a working brain... I did get some good news last night though. My mother called Ebob and she sounds happy and is getting her school work done.
Rolanda, I'm guessing mother and baby will be home when you see them? Are they rolling them out quickly in WA?

Yep.... his surgery is in 12 hours. He's pretty nervous, since "friends" have been telling him horror stories of botched gall bladder surgeries. And he'll need a large incision because he has nearly 50 stones, mostly very large ones.

Heidi - fingers crossed that all goes well for Robert's surgery.
Rolanda - I have a great-nephew Jai, but they pronounce it Jy. He's 15 months old and cute as a button, of course.

Well that was a waste of time - I had to take my car in to the panel beaters for the final step in the repairs after the accident - that was to re-apply the factory installed paint protection. Had to get my sis and BIL to follow me there to bring me home. Got there to be told that it can't easily be done in wet weather and I'd either have to re-schedule or leave it for up to 3 days. It has been re-sceduled. I don't blame them - they are busy - but I asked Hubby yesterday afternoon if we could check - got his answer to everything - no, it'll be alright! Car is back home with me, sis and BIL had a wasted trip, feel bad about that.

I am going to the hospital to visit Mother and baby. Not sure how long she will be in there. My guess is not long.
Tricia, you asked how far away does she live.. about a 20 min drive from my place.
CynB.. I was saying Jy, I was informed yesterday that it is Jay. This baby looks like big brother Simon.

HI back atcha, TAMI. I am here for my nightly check in fore bed also. How was school today? Have you got your class all settled in already? Do they know who is boss?
Rolanda, glad I got the name spelled the " right" way (way your son's is spelled) even if not the way new Mom has spelled it for Steven Jai. Know you will enjoy your visit, seeing tiny newborns is such fun. I never tired of that, when I worked hospital, loved those new babies.
CynB, I have at long last learned not to ask hubby's opinion or ask him to do the checking on something like your appointment. I just do it myself. He is grateful if my call saves him time, but he would never phone himself.
Heidi, did the hay ever get moved? Is it still on the side of the road? Is the hay hauler repaired? I hope no little sports cars were injured in this operation today
Fifty gall stones? OH My, Robert could have a necklace made from those! Hope he has a safe surgery and a speedy recovery. Please pass that on to him when you see him next.
OH, Cyn, today was an example of not asking hubby. I have yet another leak at hot water heater in my closet. The leak has warped the access door in the partition between heater and closet. My clothes feel damp from all the humidity that now gets into closet. I did not ask Mr A about calling our handyman. while on my way home from Wal Mart today ( copy paper for paperwork and a few groceries I did not get at Aldis) I just stopped by his house and told him about my problem. he has a new job, not sure when he will have an off day, or even an 8 hour day, but will get here to repair it his first time off. he is such a nice guy. Till then I leave my closet door open nights to dry the clothes. I thought we had solved our water problems, ya know?
Till tomorrow, Hugs for all with extras.

Only 10 rolls got moved today, although the hay hauler is off the road. The tire has not been repaired yet. I'm trying to figure out where to get it fixed and how to get it off the hay hauler. It was attached professionally, and I can't loosen it with my lug wrench. The people that I used to use aren't available, and my second choice person had a heart attack today. He was in the ER last I heard.
At least no little sports cars were injured in the operation today. And Robert got a new windshield and 2 new tires on his truck, despite delays (It was the guy who was supposed to install the new tires that had the heart attack.)
I suspect Robert will look like he lost a lot of weight after the surgery. I hope he does save the stones and show them to me. I'd like to see how big "big" is.

eek! That note was way off Alie!!
With friends like Robert's, who needs enemies?
Julie! Yay! Look forward to hearing what you have been up to!!
MizT, I hope your helper can come out very very soon! That would be frustrating! I know a way to get my hubby to act fast - take all the clothes out of the closet and hang them in doorways. It would drive him so mad he'd try to get it fixed YESTERDAY.
I got to talk to Ebob today. She was at the school when I picked up Ally. She came up to me and looked very happy, we talked about the baseball camp, some stuff of hers I found (favourite camouflage pants etc), baseball trip... and she told me that the mother had broken her foot going out her own front door. I said something about a break healing faster than some other types of injuries. At least that's what I said out loud. Inside I was saying 'what goes around..' and then 'don't lower yourself', but 'what goes around' 'don't lower yourself'... I berated myself extensively!!!
