Ta-da! Finally here on page 384!

Hi, Tami, Suzy, Heidi, Suzanne, Broni, Theresa, CynB and Rolanda!

Suzy, I didn't know br0thels were legal in Oz. I think the only place in the US is in Nevada, but could certainly be wrong. (Not something I need to know.)

Tami, you're probably right that medications have affected your uncle's personality. Perhaps they will one day be adjusted?

Heidi, I hope your hip is feeling better and you can sleep better tonight! I'm so glad you and Robert were feeling well enough to get some work done today!

Suzanne, I hope you and Janet had a fun day of shopping and shared lunch!

Theresa, so glad your grandie's appointment went well! I enjoyed your jokes today, but especially enjoyed your post about aprons! I remember both of my grandmothers wearing aprons! My Mom did when I was younger. When I was in high school and taking home economics, we were required to wear an apron during the food preparation portions of the class.

Tami, I'm so glad to hear that Mitchell is all right! Thank you for starting your post with that information! I hope he is finally able to get some sleep! It's a good thing there isn't any school tomorrow!

Cyn, I hope Jewel gets more comfortable and confident as her coat grows back. Because Jewel is a small dog, she probably gets chilled more easily than a larger dog. (D's dogs occasionally get clipped. They had to be this summer after a week of being boarded and spending HOURS outside in mud. The samoyed seemed to be less comfortable, but the Newfoundland seemed thrilled to have shorter fur, especially since it helped to keep him cooler.)

RIP, John Lennon! Thanks for the reminder of his birthday, Tami! (Check out Google's home page for Saturday!)

Heidi, it's too bad you couldn't have a calm, quiet weekend!

Now that I have caught up and got a TOPP, I really need to head off to bed. It's now past midnight, and I've been dragging all day. Good Night, sleep tight, take care of yourselves! Sending positive vibes and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for each and every one of you! All the best! See you tomorrow!

Afternoon all

Vicki, hubby has an itchy spot too, his is on his back. It looks nasty. I'll make an appointment for him because I know he won't. It may be nothing, but it's silly to ignore them.

They have worked it out! That's why I don't repeat what I'm told or try to fix things. That's usually when the big problems occur!

In about an hour we're going to a 21st birthday party. Another mystery party. Hubby is most disappointed because that means he can't hide in a corner. He will do fine though, he did great at the last one. Alie is invited to this one too.

Alie's voice is a little better but so far it looks like she won't be at her best at music camp. It's sad because it means she won't audition as well as she would have, but she will still learn a lot and hopefully have a good time.

Slight interruption there. My mother very rarely praises anyone. If she does, then you know they must be really good. She has just said to me that it doesn't matter if Alie isn't noticed/found/discovered at music camp this yeat because she will be next year because she is good. That is like giving her a ... what are the music awards again?

Theresa, that sounds like good news about your grandie. I wonder if those tests are a little like full body scans, if you do one you will find something, but it might not really be anything. I hope so if it means she will not develop epilepsy!!

Tami, there is no way to pass on those messages is there? If you start with 'Mitchell hit his head' we worry, if you start with 'Mitchell is okay' we worry because we know something has happened! In my house we call hard heads McGeachie heads. Long story.

Cyn, I'm going to get a doggy coat for one of our big dogs next winter. She is starting to feel the cold and it seems to be hard for her to get up and down on really cold days. I'm hoping a coat will make her more comfortable, though she probably needs leg warmers too. I bet that heavy rain was scary for her. If she was standing in water after it had mostly drained away she must have been deep in it for a while. I bet you brought her inside and rubbed her dry and warm again...

Morning all. Mitchell finally went to sleep and is feeling better this morning. I am actually going to work today. We have Saturday detention for all those good little doobies that don't want to serve after school. Today is 4 hours and if they don't serve, they could get a 1 day suspension. I get overtime for it so it is fun, at least for me. Why do I seem to get so much pleasure out of "torturing" students???

Julie, the type of gum trees around here do randomly drop branches, usually twig sized, but occasionally branches as thick as my thighs...AND THAT'S HUGE! :)
October is known as the windy month, sometimes it is storm related, but more often than not, it is just plain windy! I hate wind, it makes me cranky (more than normally!).
BTW We bought the genny today, it's a sweet little thing that weighs a ton, but we will buy a trolley for it, because it will be me who will be trundling it out in an emergency. We have decided to set it up on very windy days just in case, that way hubby can get it all organised beforehand. The good news is...I can start it!

Had a quick chat with Lizzy today, hard to catch the woman, she is a social butterfly! We have arranged a lunch next Sunday, still have to let the 'others' know, in honour of Broni's visit. It doesn't seem any use trying to arrange anything generally any more, as we know, many of the locals have left Sudokuland, and it is always the same few who turn up, that is why we consider ourselves the regulars.

Evening all,
Home from the party. I've posted a few photos on the 'other' page, but this page will have to wait until tomorrow so I can reduce their size. Hilarious! I was the murderer! I killed Royal T! He deserved it though.

For those who have seen the photos on the other page, the argument I didn't get in the middle of was about the cake.... lol.. I wonder if the censor will let it through for this page?

What was your name at the party, Suzy? It must have been a blast being the "murderer".

Wish me luck. In a little while, I'm going to attempt to pick up another 8 foot diameter water tank for the cattle and horses. This could be very stressful, but it's gotten to the point that I need it NOW. I'm still having flashbacks to the first one when it broke loose, flew 20 feet in the air and flew off the bridge and fell about 400 feet down (120+ meters).

WEAK STOMACH WARNING:

Hubby has taken one of our cats (Snowball) to the vet. Yesterday he started vomiting yellow bile, which is not a good sign. He's not eating and not drinking as far as I can see. I just couldn't go this time. Oh dear, oh dear.

The vet has kept Snowball for a few hours, they're running some tests, including x-rays. It could be something as simple as something he ate (he only gets catfood like all the other cats) or it could be liver damage. Liver damage pretty well means something I don't want to think about. Mind you he could have gotten up on the counter or table and stolen some food when I wasn't looking. The tests today alone will run to in the $500 range. Ouch!

Right you are, Heidi. Sleeping behind the wheel is not a good option.

This is our Thanksgiving weekend. I will prepare supper on Monday and serve it at my daughter's place. Will have to get some groceries this afternoon, but I'm waiting for the vet's call .....

Suzy, it is funny. Her mom is a dental assistant. She actually does not mind that I give her candy. It is maybe once a week or so. She is here watching Mitchell play video games. She is really cute. Blonde hair and light blue/green eyes. She is also little for her age.

Except for the billionaire parents bit, it's her to a T huh? lol

I posted a few pics on here for the nonfb people.

Reality check question: The latest 'discussion' between my 2 friends was over the cake. Mother of the birthday girl wanted the, um, you know what. Other friend decided that would be very embarassing for the birthday girl. Communication breakdown, other friend decides to make a helicopter thinking she has been given permission. Mother friend finds out and hits the roof because she didn't give permission. All is okay in the end and the correct cake is being made.

I think it was very cheeky of the cake making friend to make both cakes after all that... Do you think so?

Well, Snowball is home. They were unable to determine what the cause of his problem was, but it could be GAS in the stomach. We paid $500+ to find out he has gas? We have changed his name to Gasbag.

All joking aside, he does look better already. I have special food for him to last a few days until he feels better. Now I can breathe a sign of relief ...................

That should be sigh of relief. They gave him saline under the skin because he was a bit dehydrated, and they also gave him a shot of antibiotic. If he gets worse over the next few days we will have to take him to an emergency clinic in Ottawa.

I thought of you and your D last night Theresa. A woman at the party has a potentially life threatening problem with her spine. If not treated immediately she could be paralysed or worse. Her appointment with the neurologist is in 3 weeks.... We all decided that if she was an animal she's already be treated.

Who do they sue if she becomes paralyzed because she wasn't treated immediately? To me, this is no different than telling a heart attack victim to wait 3 weeks for treatment. Unconscionable!

Hi, Everybody! Just doing a quick check-in here. We will be going into "the city" to watch/film another performance by our acupuncturist tonight.

Hi, Suzy, V Viv, Broni, Tami, Gail, Heidi and Theresa!

Suzy, get that Dr. appointment made to check out your hubby's itchy spot! I hope it (and Victoria's) are both "nothing!" Sending positive vibes to Alie. Either her voice will have regained its range by music camp or it won't. I'm quite sure it has happened to other singers. Perhaps they'll be able to suggest more ways to ease it along! (Good for your Mum and her compliment!)

Suzy, a doggy coat for your dog - and one for Jewel Bates - might do the trick.

CynB, I was wondering how long Jewel was in the water, which can DRAIN away body heat quickly. Poor thing! No wonder she doesn't like rain!

Viv, I hope all is well, and the rain moderates!

Broni, sending wishes for moderate rain (and end of flooding) for you, too!

Tami, I hope you enjoyed ruling over detention this morning! I also hope Mitchell is feeling better. Hopefully, a good night's sleep helped!

Gail, I didn't know October was your windy month, though it makes sense, as March tends to be ours. (BTW, I'm sure your thighs are mere toothpicks!)

Have a great lunch next Sunday with Lizzy and others! Wish I could find a way for "Scottie" to "beam" me over! Have fun!

Suzy, it sounds like the party was fun! I checked out the pictures on your page, but haven't visited that other page yet today.

Theresa, sending you lots of {{{{{HUGS}}}}} - for both you and Snowball! Hopefully, it is nothing serious! The fact that he is back at home is fantastic news. It's too bad the vet insisted on presenting you with a bill for services rendered! Was it itemized?

Heidi, yep, sleeping at home is MUCH better than sleeping behind the wheel! You'll get that tank when the time is right!

Theresa, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! I hope everything turns out great for your special dinner!

Suzy, you're so right about how quickly animals can get treatment compared to humans!

Gotta go get ready for our trip to the city. Interestingly, our acupuncturist has some real stage fright issues that she's trying to work through. Luckily, it doesn't show in her performance.

See you all later! {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and positive vibes to all, even if I forgot to mention you!

Heidi, you're quick! You got your response to Suzy in while I was still typing! You're also absolutely right.

BTW, my brother told me about a friend who worked for a firm that was understaffed. He tried to call in sick one day and was told that he absolutely was needed to come to work. He died of a heart attack at work. I sure wouldn't want that on MY head!

And now, to get ready!
