I checked it out, too. It was done maliciously. I Can Has Cheeseburger has a site called "Ugliest Tattoos". I think a quarter of them are drawings of genitalia.

Yep, don't let someone you've just argued with give you a tattoo... good lesson. A better one would be to not get a tattoo in the first place, but that's just me.

The literature said one of Al's meds given today before the chemo would increase his appetite, and boy did it! I made him a big plate, for dinner, he added bread, then went back for banana pudding. Perhaps 2 servings left. He asked if I wanted any, told him he could have it and by gosh he ate it all! He had some apple cinnamon triffle someone had made at the center today (they keep snacks for the patients) plus the sandwich and the smoothie I had taken for him. Yep, his appetite is really increased.

I am off to bed, I read, but just too tired tonight to remember all. We have some birthdays, and anniversaries , happy happy to all. Hugs to all with extras. till tomorrow.

Feeding the dogs in a few minutes, then off to bed. I have guys from the state coming by in the morning to take soil samples. It's for a statewide survey.

Afternoon all,
MizT, a big appetite sounds healthy. I hope it is a good sign as well as a side effect. The center sounds like a very caring place. I wonder if the workers supply the snacks themselves?

Hello and Good Early Morning to all of you!

Hi, Heidi, Nola, Bobbi, Suzy, MizTricia, Tami, Theresa, Suzanne, and Rolanda! I'm sorry; I know there are comments on page 405, but I'm just not going to last that long.

Heidi, I hope you are feeling much better and you were able to go to the Lion's Club meeting. If possible, please post a picture of your buckskin regalia dress.

Nola, wishing a safe and enjoyable ride and great visits with relatives to Greg and his brother! I'm sure their father will be thrilled to have them visit! Enjoy the quiet!

How nice to see you visit, Bobbi! Happy Anniversary to you and Bernie! Have a wonderful celebration!

Suzy, good guess! The second meeting was, indeed, related to our wood turning club!

MizT, I'm so glad all went well today for you and Al, though certainly a LONG day! Wonderful help, indeed, from patient assistance! Perhaps all treatments will not be so long (crossing fingers)! Great news that the anti-nausea pills performed well today! What a great plan to have a meal prepared for when you got home! It's a good thing you like to read, as you may have a good deal of reading time in the near future as you wait for Al's treatment! How often will he need to have one?

Suzanne, sorry about Tigger's abcess breaking as you held him! I hope all goes well and he'll soon be home.

Rolanda, happy birthday to Peter!

Heidi, how does your Lion's Club know so much about the gang that robbed IH's cousin? It's interesting that they know so much information, but the state police don't! I hope IH's cousin will soon get his possessions back!

Gail, Happy Birthday to your son Jed!

CynB, Happy Birthday to your Mum and to your niece!

Sorry, but I'll need to come back some time later in the day to read page 405. I'm just not going to last that long. Good Night to Everyone! Prayers, positive vibes, and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for all of you!

I'm back. I got some things achieved today so decided to spoil myself and read a little. I had either hubby or teen2 in talking to me or asking me something every 3 minutes... so here I am again.

Julie, I listen! Well, sometimes...

A little intermission in my sleep program tonight. Of course I come here to entertain myself till sleepy again.

Steve, lovely drawing by daughter Mikayla, thanks for sharing the link. She is nine years old? Talented for that age, has she taken any drawing lessons? I do not think Pappa is a bit proud of her, is he?

Suzanne, isn't that odor from an abscess just the worse? Better out than in, though. Now poor kitty will get better. Hope all goes well for Tigger.

Heidi, the buckskin dress sounds lovely and i also would like to see. How did you come by such a dress?

Nola, that sounds like a wonderful trip for hubby Greg, and as you said, just about the right length for you. I would begin to miss Al after a week, he has seldom been away on business for more than a week.

Did i say the trip to the church for food assistance was a huge success? I was sent to the front of the line cause they noted I had hubby in chemo and needed to get back, filled out a form, was given a list of other resources, asked what kinds of foods were best for hubby, sent to see the chaplain who was a lovey elderly man, then told my groceries were ready. A male volunteer rolled them to my car and loaded them in for me. All food that was just what we use and I am sure over week's worth of food there. AND I am oked to return in 2 weeks. there are some caring people out there still, and we have found many since this has started. I am very grateful!

Suzy, the medication that increased Al's appetite so much is a steroid, the IV equivalent of prednisone. It is given to keep his body from rejecting or attacking the chemo drugs. the body might see them as something foreign, and attacking them would reduce their effectiveness. The appetite stimulant is a side effect in this case, but a good one. I am thinking even with an appetite, he would not eat unless the throat was less sore, so perhaps it is a good sign.

Julie, you asked how often he will get these treatments. He is scheduled for 2 rounds of them, with a break in between to let the good cells recover some. The plan after that is to evaluate, see if the tumor has reduced in size. If it has, then a 6 week course of radiation with chemo, and that 6 weeks is every day, 5 days a week. I am not sure what chemo he would get at that point, not sure they have said.

MizT, there are some wonderful people in the world. It is so nice to hear about them! So often I hear the bad stuff, or read it, in the news. The good stuff almost makes me cry. To even match the food to your diets! So wonderful.

so so so... I never claimed to be a creative writer!

June, I've seen kangaroos tame enough to want to jump inside your house, but not wombats! That's amazing. I bet Laura is having a good time too.

Morning all.
Tricia, glad to hear all went well yesterday. It is nice to hear about something good. Glad the church was able to help you and that you can go back in two weeks. I understand about expenses being more than income.
Suzy, what makes you think you can read without being interrupted? Don't you know you are not supposed to have any hobbies other than waiting on hubby and teen hand and foot? When you win the lottery I hope one of your purchases is a two week all expenses paid vacation to Australia for one of your topside friends

MizT... such a long day! It sounds like Al got through it pretty well, and the anti-nausea drugs worked well. When is the next chemo treatment?

The gummint guys are here taking the soil samples. I'm leaving them alone to work as fast as they can. There is a BIG storm headed this way in a couple of hours, and they have a couple of hours work to do. Which reminds me that I'd better go outside and put out some hay for the cows.
