I'm the same Brenda, when I walked in the door I just about turned around and walked out again. But hubby and teen2 love it so I'm just holding my breath. I'll probably need a headache pill though.

Apparently hubby has accumulated a total of 4.52 months of annual and long service leave. We'll have to win lotto so we can use it to travel around.

Suzy - will you eat the fish once it's cooked?
When Col goes fishing he has to do a Rex Hunt and kiss them and throw them back because I can't/won't/don't like to cook them. I know that's irrational but that's the way it is. I'll eat fish happily at a restaurant or if I've bought it filleted.
And Brenda - that's what started my dislike of chicken. Being pregnant and driving past KFC - up until then I ate it. Have never been able to stomach it in the 40 years since.

Bean..... Just bring me a few Cherry Ripes, please, on the off chance that I'm not crazy about them.
I have no problem cleaning and filleting fish. IH loves fish, but is a lousy fisherman. He doesn't have the patience to sit still for more than 5 minutes. To me, it's a luxury to be able to sit quietly, fishing, for several hours. I've caught some nice big fish in our farm pond that way. It's stocked with catfish, bluegills and bass.

Years ago my father used to go sea fishing. One time he brought a large bag of fish back. Mum would gut and clean them. This time the fish had been out of the water for a few hours, but when mum went to start cleaning them one started flapping around in the bag. She would never do anything with them after that.

It's getting to be that time now. I need to hook up my livestock trailer and get ready to load up the cattle that I'm selling.

Morning all
Heidi, you decide quickly when animals are going to be sold. I hope it all goes well.
I don't enjoy eating fish, but will do it as everyone else likes it. I don't prepare or cook it though.
Very long Pride rehearsal last night. Carols and a non-carols gig coming up so lots to do.
I gave my next door neighbour the sleeping mask 'because I had heard she had very inconsiderate neighbours' and she laughed.

I don't decide that quickly. I decided last spring that I'd be selling 2 of the cows this fall, the calf was decided on a month ago, and the 3rd cow decided for me yesterday when she misbehaved so seriously AND came up 'not pregnant'.
It was an awful trip to the sale barn. Miss Nutcase jumped up and down and side to side the entire trip, so I had to drive very slowly to maintain control over the truck and trailer. It took an hour to drive what usually takes a half hour. But at least they're gone, and I'll get some money for them.

Hi all.
I will cook fish but no one else in my house will eat eat. Hubby once caught a fish (don't remember what kind) that was about 25 pounds. We still have the picture of him with it. His dad cleaned and filleted it for us. We gave his parents some, my parents and even my brother a couple of fillets. Hubby ate it when I cooked it as he caught it. He HAD to eat it.

Had a good day at school. Last night I learned how to replace a kitchen faucet. I broke mine on Wednesday, bought a new and and put it in (almnost) all by myself. Hubby helped by loosening a few screws when I couldn't. It does not even leak. I am proud of myself.

It is funny how being pregnant can change our likes and dislikes. I have always been a coffee drinker but when I was pregnant I could not tolerate the smell. Luckily that did not last after I gave birth.

Theresa, have a great time out. This is the SIL whose mother doesn't like her having a new man? Good for her for ignoring her mother over this one!
Tami, you should be proud! Miss fixit! Maybe that should be your new name.
I used to love very spicy foods, since having Ally I only like spicy foods, forget the very. Though I wouldn't turn down some vindaloo right now.

TAMI, I am like you in the coffee thing. When I was pregnant, the smell would make me throw up, EVERY morning, cause I made it for my first husband. I got even with him though. My throwing up made him loose his appetite, he left half his breakfast. Once he left for work and the coffee smell was gone, I ate the rest of my breakfast and the rest of his too hehehe. And all of you know, my aversion to coffee did not last, love my morning coffee.
Vindaloo, I give up, what is that? Must not be a breakfast food
Hubby has not had a good day today. Lets hope tomorrow is a lot better. he did get the pump discontinued this morning, and has 16 days to recover fore his next chemo.
Hugs to all and hope to be back later tonight.
Broni, enjoy your concert.

Good Early Evening, Everyone!
Hi, Suzy, Brenda, Bean, CynB, Heidi, Theresa, Tami, Broni, Gail, MizTricia,
Suzy, did Nomnom get any of the fish? That would almost be a form of torture for a cat to smell that and not get any!
Brenda, I can understand your aversion to the smell. I was like that with the smell of coffee - loved the smell until my first pregnancy and now can barely stand it. I wouldn't be able to do like your Mum and clean and fillet - even if they weren't flipping around.
Wow, Suzy, a lot of leave time accumulated, if only you had the bankroll to use all of that time!
Bean, I'm curious about HalT's trip - will have to go check that out.
Cyn, how nice that you had a nice visit with your friend and she will join FB. (My first thought was that she was going to join us here at SA, but I went back and re-read your post.)
Suzy, it's good that your neighbor laughed about the sleep mask. Seems like she must have a good sense of humor.
Theresa, I hope you enjoy your dinner out with your SIL and her friend! My thoughts are that if you don't need to prepare the dinner, it's an enjoyable dinner.
Heidi, I'm so sorry nutcase cow made your trip to the sale barn so difficult, but I'm glad the cows and calf have been delivered and you will get some money for your troubles!
Super Tami! Good for you for replacing the faucet! Isn't it a great sense of accomplishment? I'm also glad you had a good day at school!
Broni, enjoy the show tonight! Sounds like fun, but be sure to dress in layers so you'll be comfortable! Wish I could join you!
MIzT, I'm glad you asked about vindaloo, as I was also wondering. Thank you, Brenda, for "splaining" it to us!
MizT, I also hope Al's day tomorrow is better! At least he won't have to deal with the pump for a couple of weeks! {{{{HUGS}}}} to both of you!
We had a late lunch with my brother today, so need to fling some food for a late dinner. I hope to be back later! {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to all!

Just back from supper where my SIL and future BIL discussed plans so far for their wedding.
Three days after my SIL told my MIL about getting engaged, my MIL finally congratulated her. I was asked to be matron of honour and my hubby will be the best man. The wedding is next June and since it will be the second marriage for both, it will be small with immediate family only in attendance. I am very lethargic now because I ate too much. I need to get a drink (no, not alcohol) because I'm a bit dry. TTFN.

Brenda, hubby and I used to get take away curries from a place that sold tindaloos. The sign said, 'If you think our vindaloos are hot, try our tindaloos!'Hubby did...once!
Oh Broni, stop *blush*

Hello, Everyone! I'm back but only have a few minutes!
Hi, Tami, Theresa, Heidi, Broni and Gail!
Theresa, I agree with Tami! Congrats to your SIL and her man! At least her Mum came around and congratulated her - and it only took 3 days. It could have been much worse/longer!
Broni, good for you!
Gail, I take it that a tindaloo is hotter than a vindaloo!
Sorry, Folks, but I'm turning into a pumpkin here (and just in time for Halloween.)
Sending a large supply of prayers, positive vibes,

Afternoon all,
Broni, they played in Wollongong somewhere last night. When I had coffee with friends last night the principal from the girl's primary school dropped in to pick up dinner on his way up to see them! I would have loved to see them but we are seeing Robin Williams instead. I also wouldn't have minded going to see Mental as Anything last night - they played locally.
Gail, if I ever make it down your way I'd love to try your Thai Beef Curry. And pavlova of course!
