Tricia I am looking forward to getting to Queensland today and finally stopping running... I am hoping the pace up there may be a little quiter and that I may get a chance to catch up on what is / has been happening for you and Al.
In the meantime more love and hugs coming your way.

I am frantically trying to remember what I needed to take and compare it to what I want to take... everything ...just to be on the safe side ...but of course the kitchen sink is taking up far too much room in my bag and i have to make a few decisions... arrghhhhhhhh!! Not good!

I had some bad news yesterday. My brother has been doing extraordinarily well.. has exceeded all of the experts opinions but now there isn't anything else that can be done. Today I hate the word palliative. I mustn't think about this now or I will never get packed.. it is hard enough to think about packing as it is without having blurry vision as well. He is far, far too young and life sucks. Now I am bloody crying again! I know you will all say a prayer for him and I thank you. You were all very supportive when we trying to come to grips with his diagnosis of MND.

I am trying to tell myself that the pain I feel is a reflection of how important he has been in my life and that I should be greatful ... validation of an awesome individual.. but I'm not. I fear that he with suffer and I am scared for him. I'm not ready for him to die.

Take care everybody.

Bean, take half of what you have packed out of your bag. You will not need it.

Heading out to dinner in a few minutes. Tummy is rumbling. We're celebrating the really good prices we got on the sale of those cull cows. They were the best we've ever gotten.

Thanks, Suzy. Debilitating diseases are so difficult for the person and for the family. My niece has MS and she can no longer walk on her own. She just turned 35 last month.

Every time I sit down at the computer, my cat Sweetie has to sit on my lap, nudge my face, jump on the keyboard, drool on me, head butt me. He is appropriately named.

My niece also has MS Theresa, in my case though my niece is actually a little older than I am. She must be getting close to 50 now and still able to walk, though not for long stretches of time or distances.

Congratulations Heidi.

Theresa, Nomnom is the same, he's on my lap right now, pushing his head into my hand so I will scratch it for him.

Theresa, I'm not very patient, I just kicked Nomnom off. Well, I put him on the floor anyway. I'm still healing from his reaction to the microchip excursion so I'm gentle and careful just in case.

Bean, you are friends with fiends? An interesting life you lead... Glad to hear your bags are nearly at the door.

It has just started raining again here. Guess those sehtolc are not going to get dry after all.

Hubby and I are heading to the Sunshine coast this weekend as part of his 60th birthday celebrations. It will probably rain but I don't really care as I plan to put my feet up and just relax. Time to walk on the beach would be nice though.
His 60th wasn't so great. He had a course to attend and then ended up with a headache and went to bed about 7:30 with no dinner or birthday cake.
We made up for it yesterday with Lamb Shanks, sweet potato mash and greens. He has cut the birthday cake and I have some at work for morning tea. Yummy marble mud cake. Mmmm, thank you Cheese cake Shop.

42 Anzac Biscuits made, wonder if they'll make it through tonight... They seem a bit dryer than usual so maybe they will.

Now a dilemma, will a tea towel be enough to protect them from Nomnom while they cool and I go get some stuff for my pantry???

Here I is again, home after 24 hours at hospital. I really slept more and better overnight on the pull out bed or the recliner than I had at home. I could hear hubby softly snoring, and I knew he was OK. This 24 hours finds him much improved, thank you. NO elevated temp for 16 hours, he is coughing up some of the stuff that needs coughing up, he walked to the bathroom (24 hours before he could barely lift his hand) sat up in a chair for a n hour and was able to have tiny bits of liquid and ice cream. Besides the chemo knocking his immune system, it did a major number on his GI tract, raw as a piece of meat from end to end. Said it felt like miles and miles of the worst sore throat you ever had.

I almost cried today when I saw him smile again, and joke with the nurses.

It is not late, but I am sooo sleepy.

thanks for the well wishes and so glad the news is better today.

Hugs with extras.

Our Daughter Joy found this link, where anyone with a computer can send a free e-card to patients. He loved getting e-cards when he was in hospital years ago, so I know he would love hearing from any of you. I talk about you all so much he almost knows you.

If you do want to send a card, could you sign it sort of like here, Like MizTricia from alabama, your name and state or country? All of his nurses would get a kick of seeing where all the cards came from.

As usual, it never rains etc.... Col got into his ute to come home yesterday and it would not go. It needs a new Harmonic Balance. Brought the prime mover home for the night, got to get parts today and fix tonight or tomorrow. He hasn't let me know the cost yet.
Off in a minute to visit Mum, in the pouring rain. Ciao!
