The Center for Disease Control has issued a medical alert about a highly contagious, potentially dangerous virus that is transmitted orally, by hand, and even electronically. This virus is called Weekly Overload Recreational Killer (WORK). If you receive WORK from your boss, any of your colleagues or anyone else via any means whatsoever - DO NOT TOUCH IT!!! This virus will wipe out your private life entirely. If you should come into contact with WORK you should immediately leave the premises.

Take two good friends to the nearest liquor store and purchase one or both of the antidotes - Work Isolating Neutralizer Extract (WINE) and Bothersome Employer Elimination Rebooter (BEER).
Take the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system.

You should immediately forward this medical alert to five friends. If you do not have five friends,
you have already been infected and WORK is controlling your life.

Suzy - I'm glad you're getting counselling for the stress thing - it will help you get things into perspective. And that is so true about taking time to do the things you enjoy!

The cement truck will be here at 1 pm today. That's about the time that I leave for the hospital (meds pick up) and then the airport to pick up IH. That means that I'll miss getting to watch the cement being poured. I'm like a big kid. I love watching cement mixers in action.

Good morning everyone.
Heidi, yes it is like watching history in the making.Make IH wait (sorry)
Suzy, you were really missed. So glad that it wasn't more serious and Hubby was on the ball. With all the running around you do,you will still need to find some "ME" time.
MizT,Al and June's friend, continued well wishes.

Greg is home safely and enjoyed his 2 weeks away seeing the family.
My placement has been canceled twice for the Community part. They can't seem to find a vacancy and if I don't complete this, I can't start the last term.I am a bit concerned and annoyed that it has been left this late to both organize and cancel. Hopefully something will turn up.

I just figured out how to do this! I'll leave for the airport at 2pm, pick up IH, THEN go to the hospital for the meds pick up with him. Then we can stop and pick up ingredients for the Lion's Club Chili Supper on Saturday. IH won't be pleased at having to run the errands with me, but I get to watch the cement mixer in action this way.

Heidi, that seems to be a sensible plan. IH cannot expect you to leave workmen at such a crucial time!!
What if they needed you for something.

Yes, he does expect me to leave everything to help him. He's still at the point where he denies the need for this work to be done. He considers it to be an unnecessary waste of money. Once the job is done, and I've paid for it, it will suddenly become his idea to do it. I fall a lot, since I never regained full feeling or coordination in my legs after breaking my back. The uneven surface of the walkway that I'm replacing has been the scene of many a tumble. So far I've only had sprains and bruises (and a little blood loss) but it was only a matter of time before I broke something. The patio was needed since I turned the previous one into a sunroom. I no longer had a place for my wrought iron picnic table and chairs and it was a pain having to move them around every time the lawn was mowed. It never bothered IH because he's never mowed the lawn.

From" Food nutritionists won't eat:

Any food with chocolate chips is probably made from compound chocolate, which is cheaper, has a longer shelf life and is easier to work with than quality chocolate. Life’s too short to be eating bad chocolate! Choc chips are waxy and have a higher melting point than real chocolate does, so when they land on your tongue, they don’t dissolve as they should—or have the same delicious flavour. They don’t contain the healthy fats you find in the cocoa butter of good-quality chocolate. So I give the thumbs down to choc-chip products.

Hi again. It was a crazy day at school today. Some idiot called into a local radio station today and said that her husband was going to go to a school and start shooting. The entire school system was put on a complete lockdown for about 2.5 hours. You can not leave the room for ANY reason. I got lucky. I was stuck in the cafeteria with about 150 6th grade students. At least we had a bathroom. The classrooms do not have path rooms in them. They are located in central areas. Not a fun day. Luckily the threat was found to be not credible but they could not take any chances.
Here is a link of you want to read about it.

Scary stuff, Tami. It's good to see that schools are becoming more security conscious and that lockdowns are now common place. It's a sad world that we live in when precautionary measures such as this are necessary. The report said all schools in that area were locked down - did this include your sons' schools?

Yes Theresa. Mitchell stayed home today as he did not feel well. Dylan had fun. His classroom has a bathroom in it and the teacher was allowed to go downstairs to the cafeteria and bring lunch to the kids. The kids were not allowed out of the classrooms. The schools are good at not scaring the kids and only giving them the information needed. This affected all of Broward county.
