What a waste of my last few hours without IH being around. I hope I'm not getting a bug....
I'm getting really nauseous now. Not good right before I need to start cooking Thanksgiving dinner.

Not a good post for the top of the page.

I am getting ready to leave and pick up my friend from the airport. She will be staying with her brother. Her and her husband are coming for dinner tonight. I just made a centerpiece for my SIL for Thanksgiving. I will try to post a picture. I am sure my friend will work on it a little bit. She is very artistic.

Heidi, did you get your pumpkin pie? I am just back from the grocery also, I bought a pie crust so I can bake our pumpkin pie, and I bought a pecan pie. Al can have a slice of each hehehe, I have to choose. Pecan would win 99 times out of 100.

Al is supposed to come in and help me with the turkey, I just cannot handle it with this stupid hand. It is much easier to get a turkey into a browning bag with 2 people, anyway. Baby sized turkey here this time, but enough for just the 2 of us. I like to make my turkey ahead so I have the drippings for the dressing. I will make that tomorrow.

LOVE the sound of your new extension. You need AL to build a floor to match existing. He did one once, a 2 story addition, connected at the second floor level to a one story existing house ( very sloping lot). The addition was a huge great room upstairs and 3 bedrooms down . He only had one doorway to work from to figure the height of that floor, the exterior wall upstairs was left until the addition was finished, then removed across 25 feet. his new floor matched perfectly to existing floor.

I just got a phone call from the power company, saying that if the bill was not paid in the next 2 1/2 hours, the power was going to be cut off. He NEVER learns!!! I just straightened it out over the phone, so we won't have to deal with that over the Holidays. IH is in trouble again.

Yes... I DID get the pumpkin pie. I also got some whipped cream to go on it.

NOW for the bad news. The new roof over the sunroom is leaking. The ceiling is getting messy, and has a trickle of water flowing through it. I tried to call George, but he's at a funeral.

MizT, how did you go learning that dressing technique with your bad hand? Your dinner sounds great. Hubby has decided he likes the smaller turkeys because they are juicier.

Rolanda, is your aunt still planning to do the running around for the second eye surgery?

Suzy, no I don't stop. I can't bring food to my SIL as she keeps a kosher house. I can bring wine or a centerpiece and she asked for a centerpiece this year. I will upload a picture soon.
Heidi, enjoy your pumpkin pie and I am glad the power company called and didn't just shut it off.

I babysat at a kosher house one time. The kids were all asleep though and I didn't have to feed them, thank goofness because I would have messed it up! Back then I knew even less than I do now..

There are a LOT of people with my name, so I'm hard to locate. It's other stuff that's easy to locate me from.... but you all know that.

I can imagine that most of Ally's stuff is on YouTube, Suzy.

George called me back about the leaky roof. He said that he'd be over here first thing in the morning, but I reminded him that it was a holiday, and told him that it could wait 'til the next day.

Suzy.. Aunty is away at the moment up the north west baby sitting the Grandkids. So unsure if she is doing the 'running around'. My mother would prefer not to have Aunty look after her.
As it is, that Thursday and the following days are ok for me to do the 'running around' and the Saturday Mum and I are out to lunch at Neerlandia (Mum invited me to go with her).
Only thing is.. I get really overtired, and I have a vewy busy following week.

Looks like Lunch at my place on C day, I am going to keep it simple, it will only be a small gathering, me, him, boy 1 and girl, boy 2, mum and mil, and possibly girl's mum and dad.

Roll on 27th Dec....

Why do we do thse things? This morning I decided to naelc our ensuite - things escalated to include the main bathroom, separate toilet and laundry - what I thought would take 30 mins took 2hrs20mins - at least it all got a thorough gninaelc. Now I still have to put things back in place once the floors are completely dry.
Oh, I remember why we do these things - if we don't - no-one will!!

I had a lovely day yesterday on the Harbour. Ate too much 'finger food' and it repeated on me last night.

I was having a lovely sleep. Did not hear hubby come to bed but I can now hear the radio and he has gone to sleep. Grreee

The cat has come to join me, probably will want to be fed but there is still some fresh rump steak, tinned food and milk all in dishes that it can have before it gets anything else!
