I deeply apologize for not posting pictures of the patio and barn..... my excuse is that it has been raining non-stop since I got the silhouettes up, and I won't take my good Canon out in the rain. It's supposed to stop raining by the weekend, but we need the rain more than I need to take photos.

Heidi, can you send me a care package????
We have a freezing rain warning in effect for late afternoon (so just about any time) followed by ice pellets and snow overnight. I just ran to the store to get a few things to tide us over in case there's a problem. I was planning on getting a few groceries tomorrow, but that probably won't happen. Should be fun getting the girls to the bus stop tomorrow morning.
I have today off and I have gotten next to nothing done, except for running to the store. BTW, there were fairly long line-ups at the store even though it was early afternoon, but I had some nice eye candy in front of me so I didn't mind. He had a really nice ..................

Theresa, tut, tut,
Nice to hear you sound cheerful. I wish I could take you with me today. A nice warm sunny day and I am going on a bus trip with some of the ladies from the bowling club. Suzy we are having lunch at Picton and then coming home via Wollongong (an hour north of Suzy).

Tonight Laura 'graduates' from Daycare. They have a graduation ceremony and they all wear caps and gowns. Laura will still be going to daycare till Christmas and some of the others till end of January and school starts. Laura has been at this day care (3 days a week) for almost 5 years. As she says 'big school' next year

Now, now June, I put a big smile after that last comment of mine. What did you think I meant?
Have a great day - wish I could come with you too. Hmmm, spend a nice sunny day with June or be stuck in the house with a freezing rain warning. I guess that's what you would call a no-brainer.
Yes, I do feel better today - a day off will do that. Tomorrow will be a long day because my SIL is going out after work, so I will have to get the girls ready for school, pick them up after, and get them to bed. But I have the weekend off except maybe for a little babysitting while their parents get some groceries.

Morning all,
June, that's close! It's a shame you weren't having lunch in Wollongong...
Theresa, that sounds like the perfect day off - nothing done. The only way it could be better would be if you got to share it with a fun friend.
Heidi, we're used to you being slow with photos so we've learned to be patient.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to my US friends. We are going to celebrate with a turkey dinner on Sunday, Ebob is probably coming.
I am extremely thankful for all of my friends who have been so supportive and caring while all the ffuts has been going on here with me!

I was about to put our dressing in the oven today, when I heard a knock at my front door. People who drive up usually park in back and come in back door, so I wondered who ? ? ? ?
My newest neighbor, the grandmother of the teenager who cut my grass, sent over a Thanksgiving care package, enough food to feed a family, just for me and AL. YUMMY turkey and dressing, with real gravy, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, corn, green beans, turnip greens, green peas, macaroni salad, rolls and a whole sweet potato pie! I shall not need to cook for a week! Everything was sooo good, too. It was still warm, fresh from the stove, so we left out dressing for cooking later and sat down to eat. Al ate a huge plate! Mine was almost as full. I thought that was so very sweet of her to make sure we had a full thanksgiving meal. I am thinking of just some dressing ( we have plenty heheh) and cranberry sauce and turkey for my dinner.
We are in for a big weather change. Today was mid 70's, I had doors opened. It gets cold tonight, and the low for the night will be tomorrow's higs for the day, mid 40's with RAIN and WIND and something called a wind chill factor, have not heard that in months! We shall stay inside and eat and watch THE big game in Alabama, our 2 college football teams play each other tomorrow, the game is called the IRON BOWL and such a rivalry you have only imagined. Coaches have been fired for loosing this game! If either team lost 9 and won the IRON BOWL, they would consider it a good season. I attended one back in my 20's, it was fun, but rather sit home and watch on TV now and that is just what we shall do tomorrow.

Greetings, Everyone! I hope all of our US Sudokuaholics had a very Happy Thanksgiving today!
I'm SO sorry, but I'm dragging - and need to get up tomorrow for some Black Friday shopping. We've never done that before, but have some items we need to get (nothing big or exciting) that are priced well.
My nephew went to his Grandma's for Thanksgiving today - a chance to see many of his cousins who hadn't seen him since the accident. Though I haven't talked to my sister tonight, I suspect it wore him out.
Now, I must really get some sleep. Sending lots of
positive vibes, prayers and {{{HUGS}}} to all of you! Good Night!

MizT, every time I check in I get a warm fuzzy about your neighbour. I'm sending her a hug... she earned a big one!
My friend told me this afternoon that I'm sounding more and more like myself. Another one told me I am calmer than I was. All good stuff.

It seems our turkey dinner on Sunday might be late. Ally has organised a gig for herself. Or rather a friend organised it. A friend whose Uncle is hosting something in a small town near here heard Ally and 2 friends rehearsing for the school showcase. She liked it so much she asked her uncle if they could perform at his function. He said yes and they have to sing 3 songs, apparently there will be music producers there. Shame it was on Sunday and not Saturday as she told us originally.

Morning all.
MizT, what thoughtfulness on the part of your neighbour! Like Gail, it makes me teary. There are many caring people out there that tend to get forgotten, and when something like that happens it just lifts my spirits.
I went for a nap at 7:00 PM last night and woke up at 3:30 this morning. Some nap, but I feel refreshed and ready to face this long day.
Catch you all later, coffee is ready.

There's an inch of snow covering everything!!! And it's still snowing! I'm SO glad that I didn't plan on going out and doing any Black Friday shopping. The roads will be covered in ice.

I was starting a load in the sloshy thing when it stopped. I guess another "thingie" blew in the fuse box. I had added a small heater in the laundry room, so I guess it was just too much. Oh no, now I have to go down in the dungeon to check. Or wake up hubby????? Nah, I'll go myself.
