One of the music teachers has a sister in the music industry, I'm not sure what recording company. She was totally wrapped in the girls, said they outshone everyone else there, even the older ones (no offence she said), could you girls get my brother to help you make an original recording, a group of girls and so young, I could soooo get you onto Tiple J...

So no guarantees because they still have to come up with an original song and this woman is only one person in the company - but incredible for a group of 14 year olds to even be considered!! So proud!

Suzy, please tell us more.

I slept about 7 hours straight last night and my back feels much better this morning. We were gone from home yesterday about 9 hours. On the way home hubby took the long way and we got to see some of the Christmas lights. Very nice.

The coffee is ready, Tami.

Great news Suzy !!!

Been out all day, Mum had cataracts removed from her other eye today.
We are not long home, she is resting, while I am flinging you know what!
While Mum was in surgery, I went to the big shopping centre, and did some C shopping, met up with my niece and 3 of her cherubs. I got to have a very very long cuddle with her baby Steven.

Well have read a couple of pages and seems like everyone is in reasonable condition...more HUGS for those I have missed.
Finally found my lost glasses from Monday! They were in my computer desk draw....really gotta worry about where my head was!
Pete has now been off work for almost two weeks with torn/snapped muscles and tendons in his arm and the news is disappointing, looks like he will be operated on mid January and will take at least 6 months to recuperate to a possible 50%. Still trying to get my head around this but apart from that we are well and happy.

Hugs Broni!! Don't lose hope yet, people prove doctors wrong all the time. A young man who is singing at Carols this year was told in February that he would never sing again. He thinks his voice is BAD now, but everyone who listens to him thinks he is great!!

Hi all.
Suzy, listen to your body. If it is telling you to nap, then nap. Also puzzles are a good way to work you brain so keep doing the Sudoku puzzles.
Heidi, glad you seem to be more awake today. Good luck with all the cooking. I am sure everything will come out very tasty.
Vicki, glad that Reggie is doing better. It is not fun to have to give a dog medicine. Even I would take medicine wrapped in ham.
Tricia, don't let Al get to you. He doesn't feel well and that makes him grumpy. I am sure he will be back to his normal self soon. Your neighbor is wonderful.
Cyn, thanks for stopping in for a visit.
Hello to anyone else I may have missed. Time to go make the coffee.

Suzy, that is wonderful news about Ally. Let them try. Who knows what might happen. Remember, I get tickets to her first American show.
Broni, best wishes going out to Peter. Again, people prove doctors wrong all the time. I hope he will be one of them.
Theresa, thanks for the coffee. yours will wake me up enough to make my own pot

Wonderful news for you Suzy.
MizT, Al has had his body injected with poison. I is bound to have an effect. Just remember the poison is doing a job, although it will not be easy to adjust to his problems for a while. When my friend had her Chemo a couple of years ago I always sat with her. This one does not take as long and she lives 5 minutes drive from the hospital so she goes by herself.

Broni, sorry about Peter. Hope he gets better sooner than expected AND makes a full recovery.

Trying to get all my cards in the mail. Spent $75 on postage today and I think I still have another $20 to go. The cards etc are my indulgence at Christmas.

A Christmas lunch tomorrow (Probus) and lots to do.
Hubby has gone to bed early, I wonder what I can put on to wake him like he does to me!!!

'nite all.

Lost a post I started, just glad it was not too long.

Good Morning Friends, I have put on a pot of coffee if anyone still wants a cup. Yesterday I cleaned the inside of the pot, running vinegar through the cycle, cause it was getting so slow to make. I do hope that helped. My house smelled funky while doing that for sure.

It was cold last night, low of 21F (-6C). My heat is struggling to keep up. The temp should warm more today though, and that is good.

I have already woke (awakened?) hubby twice for nourishment, he is cooperating so far. Drinks his hot chocolate Instant Breakfast or Ensure right down and back to sleep. Hope he gets better tomorrow after the pump with one of the drugs that is given over 4 days, is removed. He is not grumpy when he is sleeping at least. I know he has to feel miserable, poor baby.

I think I shall go bake some sweet potatoes today, I have a lot that need cooking and the extra heat of the oven would feel good this morning.

Remember me talking about hanging out clothes yesterday? they were out all day and were NOT dry when they came in. I had them on coat hangers, so hung those on the shower rod to finish drying over night. I suppose it can get too cold to dry clothes, even with low humidity.

Coffee tastes better from the cleaned pot, but cannot say it brews any faster.

Hugs to all with extras, it is time to get on with my day.

Just back from getting the grandies off on the school bus and helping my daughter with a few things. With the wind chill it is -18C outside ... thank goodness the bus wasn't late.

The grandies' last day of school is Dec. 23 and then they don't go back until Jan. 14 I believe. This is the first year they have gone to school so close to Christmas. Usually they have the week before Christmas off. So I guess we will be making cookies the weekend before instead of during the week.

Off to have some breakfast and then hopefully a nap. I've been up since about 3:30 AM because I went to bed so early last night. Lazy bones that I am!

Suzy.... what a thrill for the girls! It doesn't really matter if anything comes from this at their age. They have affirmation that they ARE good. I really don't think that much will happen from this, but they'll probably be discovered again in a couple of years if they continue together, and get more experience.
