Mum and I went out to the Dutch Club for Lunch today, Madam almost fainted twice.
She is at the moment snoozing (over 2 hrs now), I must go and get her up soonish, or she will be awake all night.
I have had a snooze too, and am just up.
It so quiet in the house, wonder where hubby is.. bet he is snoozing.
The boy I guess is on the pooter.
Best make tracks and stir the household.
((Hugs)) and ♥♥♥ to all and Sundry .

June - I would loooove to see a video of you girls doing the Village People!! YMCA?? Good on you!
Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Chloe - I have shared a pic on FB showing the end result of her big day. Dead to the world, stretched out on her Dad's lap!! I would post it here but it obviously taken on his mobile and is grainy!

Morning all.
Congrats on your new washing machine, Suzy. I guess you must have a fair bit to do now to get caught up. Don't do too much at once, young lady!
Julie, sounds like you will have very little time to yourself in the next little while. Try and find some time for yourself too because you're important to us.
Vicki, isn't it nice to have time out with true friends who don't judge us? Sounds like you had a good time.
June, thinking of your friend. Can I have some pudding? Please.

Just catching up on some stuff in the sloshy thing - it's making very strange noises! Suzy, was your washing machine's condition contagious?

Hubby just told me that the Christmas luncheon portion of the presentation for years of service at his work has been cancelled - fiscal restraint. It was supposed to be for "all staff". Needless to say, the morale at that place will not be getting any better. I don't know what's worse, not having a luncheon in the first place or having one and then cancelling it at the last minute! Kind of makes employees feel they don't matter - I think it's a bad move on management's part.

Didn't get much sleep last night. Oh well, I can nap today. I only have prep work for the meal tomorrow, and an hours worth of work on a fence.

June, I looked up recipes for plum pudding, my, what a long and complicated recipe with unbelievable cooking times! All the fruit in some of the recipes reminded me of my home made fruit cakes I made years and years ago. Fortunately my fruit cakes cooked in oven in a bit over an hour, not the 5 to 10 hour steaming times I saw in recipes. How long did your recipe need cooking?
Rolanda, how funny, the entire family snoozing the afternoon away! Must have been a busy week for all. I am glad Mum enjoyed her luncheon, even if she did almost faint.
Suzy, sounds like you got a deal on your washer, but jet engine noises? Now if you could just hop on and fly away . . . .
Heidi, what kept you awake last night?
Hubby says he did not sleep last night. I am sure he was awake some, but I was up a couple times and checked on him, sleeping away both times, and sleeping soundly since i got up, too. Trying to get nourishment down him today, not doing so good so far. The feeding tube is not helpful when it is the tummy that hurts with food or drink in it.
Hugs to each of you and extras to any who need or want them.

I'm back from the grocery and pharmacy. I needed teriyaki marinade for the lamb, cat food and drugs to keep my back in check. All I have left to do is start marinading the lamb before I go to bed. Tomorrow morning, I'll load all the supplies and ingredients in my truck and head up there. I'll need to remember to bring something dressy to wear for the Christmas party, too. I'll probably wear my green velvet dress and a Santa hat.

Morning all,
Julie, I hope you have some time to sleep in there...
Guess what, one of the girls' father recorded them singing using his iphone and put it on youtube. The sound is so much better than my dinky camera does. Anyway it is now on my page.
The other girls' performed last night at a dance concert. It was the most fun dance concert I have ever been to - I'm not sure what made the difference, but probably the music selection and amazing costumes!

Rolanda, I hope your Mum is a bit better today. Hugs!!
Nola, a big nanna nap in your future I think. I hope your prac helped to remind you why you chose to do all the hard work studying in the first place! If you hated it, it would be hard to stay motivated to keep working your tush off!
Heidi, teriyaki marinade on lamb is something I never would have tried. Maybe next time we have lamb I should give it a go... Don't forget to have your picture taken looking all seasonal!
MizT, I hope you have more luck nourishing Al today..
Theresa, I know what you mean about groceries! I hear news reports saying prices have risen 5%, and I think well, for most things I buy it's actually more like 40%.
June, thinking of you and your friend.
Hugs and

Just a little aside - you might remember that we have 2 very small cars, the washing machine fitted in the back of my little Mazda 2. The seats fold down and the back is like the tray of a ute/truck. So my little beauty saved us delivery charges on the machine.

Suzy - my prius is like that - amazing what will fit into it with the back seats down. But we don't need to use it much because our other car is a ute. BTW - loved the video- they sound great.
MizT - glad Al is getting some nourishment today!
Nola - love the Xmas avatar! Hopefully you'll be back on your days off!
Heidi - I think if found someone to swap husbands with, you may end up worse off. My christmas wish for you is that someone hypnotises IH into the husband you want and need - how's that?
Big hugs to all whether you need them or not, just because I want to!!

I just got a horrible phone call. It was from my friend who recently lost her mother (the Auchwitz survivor) ... Her adopted daughter just ran away from home. It has never been a relationship made in heaven, and my friend is largely at fault for causing the stress, but this has sent her over the edge. She screamed at me, would not calm down, and threatened suicide. She even cursed me when I tried to suggest ways of getting help. I really do not enjoy having someone screech profanity at me when I try to be sympathetic. I don't know what she wanted of me. She lives 17 hours away, so I can't drop everything and go out to her place... to do what, I don't know.

Oh Heidi - that would have been a distressing phone call. Nothing you can do from 17 hours away but let events unfold and hope when she calms down, she may take some of the advice you offered.
Broni - love the avatar!!

Heidi, thinking of you and your friend. It is hard when a friend is in trouble and you are not close enough to help. I hope things work out for her.
Suzy, enjoy the new machine. Hope it gives you lots of years of joy. It would be even more enjoyable if someone else in your family used it more than you
Tricia, glad to hear that Al is eating a little bit more today. I know it is hard for him but remind him that he needs to eat to keep his strength up.

OK..... The lamb roasts are marinating, all my cooking utensils and seasonings are gathered up and loaded in the truck, and my dressy-type clothes are also loaded into the truck. My gift for the gift exchange is loaded up, The lion ornaments for the tree are also loaded into the truck. My gas tank is full. And the cooler I will be transporting the meat in has been scrubbed clean. I THINK I am ready.
In the morning, I have to bundle up (a massive cold front will be moving in tomorrow) put the lamb and chicken into the cooler, then into the truck, then go.
Can anybody think of anything else I might need?

When I get home tomorrow night, I think I'll put up my Christmas tree. I won't have time to decorate it until Monday evening, because the farrier will be here all Monday morning and probably part of the afternoon. Early Tuesday morning I have to load up a steer and take him to the abattoir. Then Tuesday evening is the County Cattlemen's Christmas dinner. I believe that I will crash all Wednesday.
