Hubby just decided we will go to Belinda's 'farm' today and will take Sharon and Laura with us. Laura needs some practice with the pony before she goes in the show. I do think the pony needs the practice more than Laura. So much for all the jobs I was going to do when the cool change came!

Hi everyone. It was a good Saturday. Worked in the morning and ran a few errands in the afternoon. Have a few papers to grade tomorrow but it should be a quiet Sunday. I am making chicken wings to eat during the Super Bowl. I don't care about the game, but the commercials are usually great.

Tami, we get the game over here, but only see the ads in news stories, or when they eventually make it over here - like the snickers ad with Betty White..

Heidi, the way the price of veges is going here I might finally be able to convince hubby to finish my vege patch...

When people type WALLA for VOILA, do you think they know what they are doing and it's a joke?

Our temp has dropped to 18C, feels like 14!!! The wind is coming from the east - which is a new one for us - all the trees will be confused about which way to bend. I'm going to have my first HOT shower in days...

18 sounds frigid after the temperatures you've had recently. It's the kind of temp. I'd like to have most of the year.

18 you don't need a sweater, but can wear one if you want, you can have hot showers comfortably, and you don't perspire all day long! You have to earn it!!

Gekko and greetings this wintry evening!

Hi, Tami, Heidi, Gail,Suzy, Theresa and June (page 540)!

Tami, so sorry to hear about Mitchell's broken finger! Is it on the hand that he writes with? I hope it's not too painful - and that it will heal quickly!

Heidi, I think you made the right call to delay sending the lovebirds. Hopefully in a week or so, the temperatures will be more moderate and it will be safer for them!

Broni, hope things are a bit calmer for you right now! {{{HUGS}}}

Suzy, Broni, Gail and June, thinking cooling thoughts for you and your families!

Anyone else experiencing extremely or very high temperatures, I would like to send cooling thoughts to you as well!

Theresa, what a thrill to connect with a childhood friend on facebook. (I almost reached for my mouse to click on "Like.") I hope the grandies were well behaved and had a good time while their parents were shopping!

June, I hope your friend starts having some relief from the painful legs and scar tissue - and heat! As you said, it takes a while for the chemo drugs to work their way out of her system. Thinking positive thoughts for all the scheduled February events. {{{{HUGS}}}} to her, you and your families!

Heidi, hoping for a good-weather day tomorrow for changing the trailer's flat tire and rounding up the last 2 calves and your trip to the sale barn!

Here we are on page 541.

Hi, June, Gail, Heidi, Tami and Suzy!

June, don't even think about the things you were going to do! Just enjoy the time on the "farm" and watching Laura and the pony. It could be good therapy for all of you!

Heidi, your dinner sounds yummy!

Tami, the chicken wings for tomorrow also sound yummy. Good plan to get work done today so you will have some free time tomorrow!

Hubby will probably also watch the game. I'll probably read the paper and work on membership stuff for the club, though I've been known to look up to watch the ads. We'll be pulling for one of the teams, but I don't want to jinx them.

Suzy, I like your question about VOILA, WALLA and sometimes even VIOLA! I have read a few fb posts where I am quite sure that the person typed WALLA and had no idea what they were even trying to type - must just have heard someone at some point in their life. I'm voting for ignorance.

WooHoo, Suzy, the cool front found you! What a huge difference that must feel like. ENJOY!

Well, folks, I'm going to call it a night. Only 4 hours of sleep last night, so I need to mend my ways. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, positive thoughts, prayers and muttering for everyone. Feel free to take as much as you need or want.

Thinking of all of you, whether I've mentioned your name or not! Take care!

Checking in just fore I go to bed. I had a nice 2 hour nap in my recliner, first real rest today. Al woke looking very dehydrated this morning, but he worked with me all day getting fluids in him. I think I shall go with him to treatment Monday, even if long day, and ask that we see both docs. He is having some problems, and hopefully they have some solutions. but he goes to sleep tonight fairly comfortable and well hydrated, I poked something down him every hour to hour and a half today. He looks a lot better.

I do think new meds are helping. for one, that boil is shrinking and no longer painful. the burning in chest was gone this morning, is mild tonight. It does not hurt to breathe today.I am not as short of breath and boy all the steroids gave me some much needed energy. also has me running off at the mouth or rather fingers here, sorry.

Hugs to all needing them, and extras, i did read this page and part of the previous, just too sleepy to comment today. Good night friends.

Bad bushfires up in the Hills, and various other places...
Me and mine are safe, Colleen in Kelmscott has left her home, a tad close for comfort...

Mary/Bibra Lake and I along with our hubbys, met up for a cuppa in Fremantle this morning.

Rolanda, I have been watching the news closely, I hope it is all out soon. It sounds like there are three distinct fires, but that is just my interpretation.
For the sake of the firefighters and people who are in the danger area, I hope this is all over very soon.
If the power of willpower works, let's all wish the winds to die down and be of assistance in putting this out xoxo

Morning all. Coffee is brewing and will be ready in a few minutes.
Mitchell's broken finger is not on his writing hand. He broke his writing wrist a few years ago and managed to write. He does not let much stop him, takes after mom.
Glad to know that all is going well in the world.
Hubby plays softball on Sunday and I am going to watch. Talk to you all later.

Gekko everyone.
It's a lovely looking day outside. The sun is shining and it's right at the freezing mark now. It's supposed to warm up nicely.
I'm gonna have breakfast, then change the tire on the trailer. It shouldn't be too hard. I'm good at changing tires. I have to be. IH doesn't know how. Really.

There is a reason for this avatar. I'm bidding on 2 female red factor canaries in an online auction that ends today. I have 2 lonely male canaries who both lost their mates last summer. I don't plan on getting into canaries in a big way, but I'd like to get a few babies, just for me.

I finally got the flat tire changed! What an ordeal. One of the nuts stripped while I was trying to remove the flat. Now I have to go put air in the other tires, and gas up, then come back and load up the 2 critters. Once they're loaded, it's a 1 hour drive each way to the sale barn, and probably an hour or 2 wait in line to unload. I'll probably miss the Super Bowl. Obviously, we're both cheering for the Green Bay Packers. We both grew up about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Green Bay.

Got the big haul of groceries this morning, got the perishables put away and promptly vomited. I hadn't eaten anything yet today because I wasn't feeling well. I have massive heartburn. Just had a bit of soup, hopefully it will stay down. I'm going back to bed. Hubby has gone to his parents' place.

I am back. It went quicker than I'd even hoped. There were only 2 trailers of cattle ahead of me, so I had a 5 minute wait, instead of an hour or 2. Even the calves cooperated and let us round 'em up and load 'em easily.

Gekko! It's late afternoon here!

Hi, Heidi, MizTricia, Rolanda, Gail, Broni, Tami, Theresa and Suzy!

MIzT, I'm so glad you and Al worked together to get him better hydrated! What a good idea to get small amounts in him on regular intervals - probably much easier than trying to do large amounts multiple hours apart! It's also great news to hear that you are feeling better! Keep up the good work and follow doctor's orders! I hope you slept well and sleep well again tonight so you are well rested for the trip with Al tomorrow! {{{HUGS}}}

Rolanda, thanks for keeping us up-to-date on the bushfires. What a relief that you and your family are OK! Keeping Colleen and her family and all affected in positive thoughts and prayers! Glad you and Mary and hubbies enjoyed your cuppa!

Sorry to hear that you lost power, Gail! I hope it wasn't long-lasting!

Tami, I hope Mr. Tami's softball game went well - and hope you had a nice day for watching and cheering for him!

Theresa, I'm SO sorry you're not feeling well! Is the flu just lingering on - or is this something new? At least you got through the big haul of groceries and got the perishables put away! A good nap sounds like a better idea than a trip to visit your in-laws.

Heidi, after the trouble you had with changing the trailer tire, what a relief that the calves cooperated with the round-up and loading and there wasn't a long line at the sale barn! I hope you get a good price for them! Congratulations on winning the auction for the canaries! Hoping for at least a week of good weather for them and the lovebirds to be shipped!

Suzy, I hope the fasting blood tests are now over and you are home and fed! Enjoy the rest of your day!

I'm not sure if it's a flu I've got, but I imagine so. I just felt kind of dizzy so I went to lay down for a bit, and that's when I got sick to my stomach. I just got up a little while ago and put the rest of the groceries away. I still have the heartburn and nothing seems to help, but my stomach feels better.

Congratulations on the auction, Heidi.

Well, off to get some ffuts done that I didn't get done today. Hubby should be home in another hour or so. TTFN.

Our little Super Bowl party was ruined and I would rather not discuss the details right now. It helps to know that I have friends that care for me unconditionally and when I am ready, or able to, I will discuss it. It does not involve my husband or kids, so you don't have to think along those lines. Talk to you all tomorrow.
