Happy Birthday, Heidi - it's your special day!!! Could that be why you got the blintzes? Hope you get to go for your Indian food on your birthday.

The grandies were both fine this morning - what a relief. But now I am so cold. I've been home about 20 minutes and just can't get warm. Brrrr.

Back from picking up the canaries at the PO hub. They're gorgeous. I ended up with the dark variegated one on the ground (in the photo on my page) and the orange one above her. I put them in the community cage with the boys, and the boys are showing off like crazy. Love at first sight.

IH got me all those blintzes because he didn't give me a Christmas present. Unfortunately, they're not good kosher blintzes. They are the worst tasting blintzes I've ever had. I'm gonna try and cover them with blueberry pie filling and see if that can disguise the taste. The case contained a total of 128 blintzes, so I'll have to go through them before finding some good kosher ones. That may mean a 4 hour drive (each way) to Jungle Jim's in Ohio. They carry every food imaginable, found worldwide. Including fruits!

We're going to the Indian restaurant on Friday, with some favorite neighbors. The funny thing about these neighbors is that they came from the same area of Wisconsin that IH and I came from.

Heidi, love the canaries. Sorry about the blintzes. It's the thought that counts??? I've never had them, so I wouldn't know a bad blintz if it bit me in the you-know-what.

I've never had a bad blintz before, and didn't realize that such a thing was possible. Trust IH to find them.

Now for the fun part of the day. I need to fire up my tractor and scrape the hay feeding pad clean, before feeding more hay to the cows. Of course, it's snowing heavily. Again.

I just got another Al update from MizTricia's sister....

Tricia just called. It's definitely pneumonia again. They're waiting for a call from his oncologist, but will probably be admitting him again. I'll let you know more when she calls back.

They're made by Tyson, IH said, but they're not labeled. They're on plastic wrapped foam trays.

And they're square shaped instead of egg roll shaped.

What happens in the bathroom, stays in the bathroom! :D

Another birthday present to me is that IH just left for the plant, and won't be back until it's time to go to the Indian restaurant on Friday.

I did not know that Tyson made blintzes. I usually buy Ratner's. I find they taste the best.

Soon time to fling supper for everyone. Actually I'm only making the chicken - the kind my daughter likes. She is making (or buying???) french fries. I'm not hungry, so I'll just send the food over and they can pig out. I'm just very tired lately, but can't seem to sleep the night through. I don't want to get in the habit of napping every day, because if I ever find a job I don't think my employer would like me taking a nap every day.

I agree that Ratner's are the best. At least they're my favorites.

A half hour after IH walked out the door, saying he was leaving for the plant, he walked back in the door and said that he decided not to go.

Another from MizT's sister. She accidently omitted the beginning, so I'll guess at it.

(( Al is being admitted )) to the hospital. Tricia will call me when he gets to a room & I'll post the # then. She forgot her phone charger, so doesn't want to use it too much. She's staying tonight - Roger (( Al's brother)) is going home. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

We just heard that Gil's aunt passed away this morning. Gil saw her recently and told me that she looked awful, and he thought it would be the last time he saw her. Rosemary was his father's eldest sister, so she had to be at least 90.
