Nah, trust me Zusy a couple of spoons is mouth watering but even Dag never used a whole jar on her tribe.....unless it was tribe and accompaniments.

Julie, cleome is not well known here either, I had never seen it till I was taking master gardener classes. A class mate brought seedlings, and I took some. Saved seed that year and had them for many years fore we moved. When we were moving, I collected hundreds of seeds, put in my fridge, and forgot them! Years later, I got the m out and guess what? they GREW. Still growing and collecting seeds and enjoying them. I could send a few seed if you want to try. they are anuals, just plant after danger of frost or start indoors, they will do fine.

Julie, Joy did not have MARSA, found out last night. Now by Monday she should find out if the bug is resistant to the antibiotics she are on.

Al goes 5 days a week, so 2 and a half weeks. He can take 1/2 tablet of nausea meds and still drive, he could probably stay awake with a whole tablet if he had to, but at home, it is easy to go to sleep after taking it.

You have had a lovely chatty day today.
I got a call from the bowling club (from hubby) and they were one short so would I please play. Mixed bowls and mainly men on Saturdays. Our team lost bot I was pleased with my game. The practice was good for me and I feel a bit better about our next competition game on Tuesday. I also won another prize in today's raffle. There were 4 meat trays but I won the one small tray of fruit. Plenty of fruit and veg. for about two weeks.

Hubby might have to do his own ironing now and he always packs his own case.
There should not be a lot happening with the eagles until the eggs hatch. I really have to try and keep away from the computer as it does play havoc with my thumb and that does not help with the bowling.
I have made tacos for dinner. Something we seldom eat so hope we enjoy them for a change.

Tricia, my heart goes out to you and Al and all you are going through. After seeing what all the drugs do to my friend I know how awful it is for Al.
Hubby just coming home so will go and have our meal.

June, another thing I learnt about eating without preservatives was to make your own sauce and seasoning with taco's and guess what, it costs so much less. Sorry will get off my soap box now.

Hi all, just had a quick glance and caught the curry posts. The jar is of curry paste, so you only use 2-3 Tablespoons, then the coconut milk gives it the liquid.

Busy here last night. Good.
I'm up and getting ready to go to the sale. Trailer is hooked up already. I just hope the prices don't go too high. Cattle prices are at an all time high right now, but that's not always the same with breeding stock. My fingers are crossed.

Morning all.
Julie, hope you had a good night sleep. It would not be good to fall asleep during water aerobics. If you can't find the curry paste, try an Asian market. If you can't find it let me know.
Tricia, sending positive thoughts to you and Al.
Don't remember anything else. It was quiet when I was on and when I go to sleep you all get chatty :)

Well folks, good morning from Eastern Ontario, Canada.

First of all, I just wanted to let you know that for now we are giving up the internet, maybe as early as Monday. With our finances the way they are right now, and with me not working from home on the computer, we just can't justify the expense. My daughter found out on Thursday that the government will not be providing long-term disability funding for her because apparently the "term" will not be long enough??? Go figure. There is no way they can make it on her hubby's salary. They are trying to apply for social assistance, but apparently he makes too much money. Since when is approx. $15.00 an hour too much money for a family of 4 to live on? We have been helping them out on a monthly basis, more than we can afford really, but that's what families are for. So we have to tighten the belt even further. I'm going to make a last ditch effort to find weekend work, but ....

IT IS WHAT IT IS. I will be without a computer for months, but I will be back! The next month or so is going to be really hectic helping my daughter - I will be pretty much spending my days/evenings there. She still cannot get up off the bed (couch) by herself, cannot stand for more than a minute or so, cannot sit for more than about 5 minutes. Her physio starts on Friday of this coming week.

You will all be in my thoughts though. When I get back on line, I hope to hear that everyone's health concerns and the health concerns of family members have been rectified.

Gotta go and get some groceries now. Catch up with you all later. ♥♥♥♥♥

My darling Theresa, even if we do not get to hear your updates, or join in your fun banter, you and your family will be in our thoughts every time we log in here. I understand your need to sacrifice and the internet is a luxury so it is one of the things that must go. Maybe you might be able to check in once in a while from the library or something.
I wish you all the very best and I will miss seeing you here each day ♥♥♥

Ditto what Gail said Theresa. We will be here when you can get back and we are always here for you no matter if you check in all the time or not. Hopefully your daughter will soon be on her feet and you will all be able to sort finances out. Take care. Does anyone have any contact details for you so maybe we could keep in touch.

Back later..... ffuts to do.

Theresa, send me an email or personal message with your phone number. I don't think it will cost me too much to call Canada and I don't mind. This way I can call occasionally and let everyone know how you and your family are. You will be missed but I do understand the sacrifice and why you are making it. I have thought about it also but the only way to apply for a job anymore is to apply online. Also, I can access my gradebook from home and do my grades in peace.

Heidi, glad you got what you wanted. You work hard for your money and deserve to spend it how you want. It sounds more like an investment than "shopping".

Julie, I saw both red and green curry paste at my grocery store. The brand was "Thai Kitchen" and it was with the Asian foods. It was a small glass jar, about 6 oz I would guess. I don't think you will have a hard time finding it at all.

Theresa.... We will really miss you here, but you can always check in occasionally from your local library. And we'd LOVE to have you back once your circumstances improve. We all understand why you have to do this. And you will always be in out hearts and prayers.

The sale was really strange. Not only were there a lot of bidders there, but it was also going out on the internet live, and people from all over the country were bidding. The cows and heifers were high. The bidding was spirited and rapid. I set myself a high but realistic limit and did not go over it. I DID hit the limit with both heifers that I won, tho'. There were 4 others that I stopped bidding on once they went over my limit. On the other hand, the bulls ALL went for prices way BELOW their values! There wasn't a poor quality bull there, yet they went for meat price or lower. I felt really bad for the sellers, because they lost money on those bulls. I do wish that I had been on the market for a bull or two. I could have stolen them.

IH will probably never notice the 2 new girls. They're the same size as the rest of the cows. And I parked the trailer in the same place as before, so he won't know that it went anywhere.

Heidi, we were playing another city at their field. The coach got there and supposedly the game was not on the schedule. Whenever we play that city, there are problems. It just started raining.

I have a feeling that you shouldn't keep scheduling games with that city, Tami. It sounds jinxed.

I don't make the schedule. We only have 3 teams at Dylan's age level so they have to set up games with the other city. Otherwise the season is boring. The problem is, even though both teams play under Little League rules, it seems the rules are different. I don't understand it but that is just what seems to happen.
