Good one June!
June, do you find you have time you don't know how to use now?
Vicki, congrats to the new Tradie! Speaking of Tradies, it's lucky I decided against nude sunbathing today as there are a couple on next door's roof...

The ones on the roof may have enjoyed the view!
Going shopping with a friend this afternoon. I got a little of the ironing pile down (about 6 inches of a three foot pile)

June, could you pop past my place. My ironing pile is enormous (most of it is my clothes).
It took me over an hour to get to work this morning. This is getting ridiculous. I don't know whether I need to leave earlier to avoid some of the traffic or what else I should do (apart from retire). I don't want to catch trains as I would need to leave home at 7am.

Morning all - things are topsy turvy here yesterday and today.
Hubby got sent to Roma (about 5 hrs drive) yesterday. Started at 3am, load was not ready or tied down, he left at 6.30, got to Roma at noon to find NO crane or forklift to unload and no-one to help. Had to unload with his truck crane - 19 seperate lifts. Finished at 4.30. Out of time on his log book and had to stay the night. Drove back this morning and was thankfully sent home and is now sleeping. In the meantime Hayley is ill (flu) so spent the night here and today. Will go home this afternoon if she's feeling well enough to go to school tomorrow. She's coughing and sniffly but no high fever.

Vicki - the roads around Brisbane are even more horrendous since the floods, aren't they? I guess there's roadworks everywhere. I do sympathise with you. Karin has to go to lectures every Tues evening in the Valley (from Holland Park) and the first time she was late due to traffic. Since then she has braved the Clem7 tunnel and gets there in 20 mins. No-one uses it!

Suzy, thanks for the idea, and reinforcing my memory of liquid iron medicine. I looked for some, when I bought the pills, and could not find any on the shelves, I also remembered a liquid iron medicine from when I was small and that was even longer ago!
OOOPS almost clicked to next page. I would have lost this comment.

For Suzanne...
Coeliac Disease
Coeliac disease is an autoimmune condition that results in a permanent intolerance to dietary gluten. Gluten is a protein found in the cereal grains of wheat, rye, barley and oats.
Ingested gluten causes inflammation and damage to the small bowel. This damage can impair the normal absorption from food and so can affect the body in many ways. Treatment of coeliac disease is by the permanent elimination of gluten from the diet, commonly referred to as a gluten free diet.

My #1 son's Girlfriend suffers from Coeliac Disease.
I have to make sure that the ingredients I use when cooking a meal that M is eating, has not been contaminated by a Gluten item ( ie toast crumbs in the butter )
And that the ingredient does not contain wheat, barley, oats or rye..
It means reading the labels, looking for Gluten Free Labelled Products.
Thankfully, more and more products are labelled and are easily available in the supermarkets.

I am back and settling in before going out again to do a cow check and tube feeding the calf. IH has said that he will help me tonight. Why do I have this feeling of impending disaster?

Cyn, I actually like the Clem7 tunnel (goes under the Brisbane River and cuts out lots of traffic and lights). As you said, no-one uses it, so that's a bonus. I don't use it often but the apprentice uses it daily on his trip home.

Guess what?
IH said that he wanted to help feed the calf at exactly 10:30. So I had the milk replacer at body temperature, and was ready to go at 10:30. IH wasn't home. His truck was gone. Since I couldn't let the milk cool off and chill his stomach, I had to do the job myself. And got my broken foot stepped on several times. Once I was done, I headed back to the house. IH's truck was back, but no sign of him. When I see him, he's going to hear some four letter words.

I've been a little busy. End of VAT quarter, and end of company financial year so have lots of book work to get up to date.
Only had a chance to read not to write anything much.
I had a win on the premium bonds this month too, only £25 but better than nothing. Premium Bonds for those who do not know are a sort of government run and backed lottery where you buy the bonds and they are entered into the draw every month. You only pay for them once, you get no interest on them but you can withdraw the money at any time. I have held £400 for about 5 years and in that time I have won £75. I would love to win the big prize one month it is £1M.

New Baby on the way.... Peter's cousin's wife, 3 weeks early, her waters broke early this morning, she will be flown (Flying Doctors) up to Perth from Albany and sent to KEMH (Main Public Baby Hospital), last I heard (a hour ago) she was still in Albany.

That poor eagle lying there covered in snow. One time when I checked the snow had covered the lens of the camera.
Bowls again tomorrow so I hope I get a good nights sleep.
Suzy, you will have to learn to turn off or something. I know how hard it all is. I just hope she is working at school.

Are they expecting any complications?

possibly yes to the complications.. The baby is quite small, back in January they (the Drs at KEMH) were quite concerned.
Judy is Chinese, her English is good, but still...
At least A Pam is up and will be able to be with her.
