yippee!! We seem to be on the back side of the rain now! still solid cloudy, but nothing falling from the sky at the moment. both kitties were happy to see that and after almost 36 hours of sleep inside, they are outside early this morning. Hubby is up early and to his shop office. His handy man will be over later and they will do some construction work in his office, I think. Finishing work, as he has the insulation showing inside the dome. Hope they can cover that today, but working in a room that if FULL of office stuff, and many computers and parts and such things as a pack rat husband can accumulate is not going to be easy! Perhaps I should go out early and get meat from freezer before they get started. they might hide the freezer!!
Heidi, are you having rain, freezing rain, sleet or snow at your house? the forecast for your areqa says rain at the moment with snow expected tonight. Map looks so colorful, like a "mix" of frozen and rain falling. Hope you are staying warm and have power.
I am off to make breakfast, Hugs to all.

I'll be back later. Have errands to run. I'll tell you about IH's latest faux pas when I return in about 4 hours. I need to do everything while it's still raining. The snow and ice is due later in the day.

Good rainy morning (here and apparently in Kentucky and Bama, too)
Brenda - congrats on the TOPP AND having a life!!!
Nola - you are really putting your nose to the grindstone and doing your work. Good on you - sounds like you will be done with the second module in plenty of time.

Sorry about the lousy night's sleep, Suzy...I was up most of the night, too. Mostly because I realized I wasn't drinking enough water and decided to make it all up in one day yesterday - DOH! It was nice to hear our storm outside while I was up in the night - but no show from the heavens like you got, Suzy.

eaa - nice to hear you are having the sun show up. So not like you to leave before a TOPP...you must have a life, too!
We are hoping to move the washer and dryer into our new laundry room today - I have all the cupboards finally filled. Needing indoor work as we have lots of rain in the forecast.
Wishing everyone a great day!

Right after my last post yesterday, we lost our phone and computer service. IH hadn't paid the bill, and hadn't told me. This is the second straight month that it's been disconnected.

From Cairo,
Had a good sleep this afternoon after Wagdy left but i am sure we will sleep well again tonight.
Had a great time patting and 'hugging' the tigers yesterday. What magnificent animals! Have some great photos!
Had a wonderful visit from wagdy today. we will probably see him again before we leave Egypt in about a week.
glanced at a few posts and my sympathy to hubby's family Suzy.
Wagdy has put some photos on his page.
Catch you all again.

Hello, Friends! Just reading page 91.
I understand about losing days, MizTricia! It has been several days again since I was last here. I think I need to set up some kind of organized schedule.
It's nice to see eaa over here. I see she TOPPed page 91!
Suzy, here's hoping Kathy's children make a positive adjustment to being with their biological father! I agree with Heidi - genetic engineering would be well used to remove the addiction/alcoholism gene!
Hello to eaa, Suzy, Heidi, CynB, Gail, Brenda, Broni, V Vici, Suzanne and MizTricia (all on page 91).
Heidi, I hope you and your neighbor enjoyed your Gail yesterday! Did the tractor tire get repaired?
Oh, my, Gail, your repairs do sound expensive, but probably cost effective in the long run. It's just coming up with the money to pay for the initial investment!
I enjoyed reading about the cool/cold houses many of you had or still have. When we were growing up in northwestern Illinois (just south of Wisconsin), my parents, 5 siblings and I lived in a 2, then 3 bedroom (addition of a bedroom and bathroom) house. The 3 boys and 3 girls were in the 2 upstairs bedrooms with the only heat in the upstair being in the bathroom between the 2 bedrooms. Yes, we had ice on the windows, as well. We all knew the meaning of "layering" clothes, long before it became fashionable!
Suzy, I enjoyed Ally's accent story. You mentioned her accent sounding "fake" in one of the videos. Do you think she really sounds "American?" How old were the girls when you moved back to Australia?
Vici, thank you for the update on June! Sounds like they're already enjoying their trip!
Suzanne, so sorry to hear you have so many nights when you don't get a restful sleep. I hope you'll soon get several good days and good nights when you can sleep well! (I guess the good days would follow the good night's sleep.)
MizT, I wish your physical therapy was helping provide some relief. But I know sometimes I would come home so sore that I would wonder. In the long run, I think it helped!

I'm trying to get caught up on reading (up to page 92 now).
Hello, V Vici, Heidi, Brenda, Nola, Suzy, Gail, CynB, Tami the T, Broni, eaa and Bean!
Heidi, I keep getting a better picture of IH - this time from your story of Faust and Bandit. Seems IH prefers to be safe and far away from possible danger or trauma. Thank you for the update on canaries, lovebirds and Gouldians! Any day now for the canaries! Thank you for mentioning your friend Diane's Paso Fino horses. I have just visited several websites to learn about them.
Nola, it's so nice you could pop in and update us! You are a real go-getter with your studying getting things done well in advance! First module done! It's a great plan to get off to a good start! Good news that Judy is doing well! Sending positive thought!
I must confess to NOT getting to the gym today. Hubby and I went out for a late breakfast with 4 of my friends from high school. I'm not sure if breakfast counts as "doing a Gail." Does anyone know if we have a term for breakfast? One friend was dropped off by her hubby who was on the way to a doctor and dentist appointment. We drove her to the dentist to meet up, then home. By then, hubby was beginning to think about lunch, then took a "papa nap." Since my knees are aching today, I took it as a sign to take the day off. Well, I got up to 6 days in a row.
CynB, congratulations to your grandson Lachlan and becoming a patrol leader in scouts! (Have you posted a picture of your new hair cut and color?)
Gail, I don't think I've seen a picture of your new hair cut and color, either.
Broni, I also read Gail's comment about a morning run and imagined her jogging about. It took a moment to determine I'd chosen the wrong meaning of the word.

Ah, finally getting to page 93! Hello, Brenda, Suzy, MizT, Heidi, V Vici, and June!
Suzy, it will be nice to have another Pride girl, if she decides to join!
Heidi, is IH trying to pass the bill-paying job over to you? Two consecutive months without paying - or letting you know that he didn't pay! You don't want to have services cut off this time of year!
Hurray! June was able to post after meeting with Wagdy! I'm off to his page now to look at pictures. After that, I need to make some noise and scrape up something palatable in the K rooom.

Coffee with friends, clever hubby fixed a friend's computer, a good day....
Julie, I hear the accent a little in that they say things like waterr instead of wata (Aussies tend to say a for er) and bath instead of barth, but I don't really think it's very strong. They seem to be asked about their accents all the time though. They were 4 and 7 years old when we moved here, or back here for me.

Hi all. Just stopping by for a few minutes. I have to teach saturday camp tomorrow and I am working on some extra problems. I am making a bingo game. I have the bingo cards, now I just need problems that have answers between 1 and 75. They can not involve fractions, decimals or negatives. And I am trying to make them a little hard, but not too hard. Will come back tomorrow for a chat.

Hello All, Hope everyone is well, safe and the weather has cooled a bit across the pond. We're expecting upwards of 18 inches here and it has started to come down...lots going on, but at the same time, nothing much has changed...I am still spending far too much time on the other site, but must make a stronger effort to get back here. I discovered some folks had to ask about me and sorta send the game police after me because I had not been heard from for too long...I don't want to do that to my friends...I must do better. Peace

BTW...its upwards of 18 inches of snow....it could have been mistaken for rain coming from those not in the area. Weather reporting has improved greatly...this looks like the real deal.

The tractor tire has been fixed. I had run over a piece if 12 1/2 gauge wire and it was still in the tire. I don't leave bits of wire laying around so I have no idea where I picked it up. Hmmmmmm... it could have been on IH's cousin's place. I was there with the tractor right before the tire went flat.

The rain is now turning to snow. It's nearly 2:30 am, and it's about time I quit for the night.
I'll do the rest of the feeding when I wake up. I just need to check on the pheasants and pigeons then.

It doesn't feel like a year does it?

A quick hello from the topside!
Great to see June's post and see the pictures of their meet with Wagdy on his page.
Julie - your summaries are AWESOME! What's really nice is how it is obvious you read and pay attention to everyone's posting. You know how to make us all feel valued!
OK - off to see an 86 year old Chinese man who is going to do acupuncture on both my friend Carol and myself. He is suppose to be amazing. I'm having him work on my shoulder. He is down in the Roseville area (about 45 minutes down the mountain from me) - so Carol and I are going to have a Gail AND do some shopping. The only bummer is that it is raining cats and dogs. Good thing our activities are indoors.
Cheers and hugs to you all!

At least everything isn't covered in snow and ice, Vici. It's the icy roads that worry me.
All that rain we had yesterday froze, and it snowed a little on top of that last night. Having been born a northerner, I remember how everyone used to laugh at the southerners who'd panic at a little bit of snow. The people up north never realized that there's nearly always ice under the snow here, and driving is MUCH more dangerous.

Heidi, I've never driven in snow or on ice so I will have to take your word for it - and that's the way I like it! Wet, flooded roads on the other hand, I've done my fair share of those...
It must be getting close for the canary eggs...

Gotta go fling food for the beastie boys. Hubby and I are going out for a belated anniversary dinner. Mitchell can babysit, I just hope the boys don't try to kill each other. Our anniversary was the same day as Mitchell's Bar Mitzvah so this is the first chance we have to go out alone. I might be back later.
