No one to stop me? No race today?

Over the TOPP we go!

WHEW, good thing noone was here, my normally fast connection kept getting slower and slower, would not have been much of a race.

I must be away for a bit now, to get hubby up and moving. Gee, why does it take the both of us to get him up and going? He has an appointment down the freeway a nice distance today, must et him started motivating around.

Couldn't even visit my Mum today. They've closed her ward to visitors because many residents have the flu. Apparently Mum doesn't yet - hope she stays well clear of it. I'll check later in the week and maybe visit then.

All that squishing and squashing at my recent breast scan has come back OK. No sign of any problems. That's a relief. Not that I was too worried but it's nice to know for sure (for now).

Hi all. It has been hot here the past few days. I knew that would happen. It is supposed to get cooler again, though. Hubby, gumball and I went to Trail(a town to the east of us) yesterday. The highway goes through the mountains and gets to about 4500 feet. There was still lots of snow up there. At least two feet deep in places. It is late melting this year. There is also a lake by the highway which still has ice on it. Hopefully this will shorten our forest fire season.

Quite a nice day today sun is shining and temperature has risen a bit since last week. Waiting in for a builder to arrive to give me a quote on a new window and some floor tiling I want done, before we start on a major refit of the family bathroom and the heating boiler.

I've just picked up my new specs and can actually see the computer screen properly now. Got some for mid distance instead of just distance (got some new distance ones too) should cut down on the eye strain.

Hi Brenda, you should whizz through the puzzles now with your new glasses. Glad the weather is improving for you .Our weather is getting colder. Hope the bathroom and other work does not take too long. Should be nice though.

Hi June, hopefully the work will not take too long once we get the necessary workmen. I don't know what it is like in Australia but finding qualified plumbers and gas fitters is very hard.
On top of that we have lots of things to choose ie bath, basin, toilet, tiles and flooring.

Cynb.. congrats on the mammogram...can't say I look forward to the annual trip in to be 'squashed' - having tried/experienced every set of compression plates in Melbourne I have worked out where they do the best squash for the least amount of pain!! Last November they chopped a bit out to make sure..[why not take the whole breast was my thought - save it being squashed again and it is long past being useful]. I am just hoping that the scar tissue from the op doesn't make it a lot more uncomfortable when I front up this year.

Life is very quiet around here now...Must be a bunch of young ladies working the site who are busy else where, 'cause we all know how much a bunch of old ladies would be chatting everything up....lol!!!!!
