Darn!

Thought I'd missed!

Guess I'm just too old and slow for a race.

I always think - no I'm not going to try anymore, let someone else get the TOPP but if I realise that it's close - the competitive streak in me, which usually goes unnoticed unless I'm playing board games, come out with a vengeance.

I am too busy checking out all the other pages to race!

Got to admit that when I came on, looked to see how many posts til TOPP. Same way with games of any sort. I have to control myself or hubby won't even play rummy with me.

Yes, Gail, wasn't that happy news! So pleased for her - what a great relief it must be.

Had to go a read easy. That's the first time since Christmas I've even looked at the posts. Now I'm feeling a little guilty, but am glad that the news is good.

There's something in me that thinks I will be considered a dumb loser if I don't win board games. I have a serious psychological problem, don't I? I might add that even though I'm not too bad at board games, I don't always win and have had to learn to be a good and cheerful loser. (That little voice is still there but I control it). OMG - the admissions one makes on these pages - I'm a bad loser and my hubby is seriously strange (but lovely and funny)!

The other day on MSN, there was an article that researchers state that being competitive is hard-wired into our brains. If I can find it, I'll send you the link. Anyway, I don't think you have a problem.

Now, my BIL has a problem. He's so competetive that he insists on playing a game until he wins. Played a video game with him once and never again.

Only 27 post after this one to the next tops folks....hope all of those competitive juices are stirred up and make it...I'm now on the prowl and will get there at some point or other....I'll be happy with one, just to say 'been there, done that'!

Hubby and I went out for a drink tonight - just the 2 of us! It was very nice

mAen, Sudokuland! Busy morning here, it seemed to fly by. I did not get online to make virtual coffee today. Barely remember drinking my REAL Coffee. Oh I remember I slept late this morning cause I did not sleep when I should have last night. But a good 5 hours sleep after being up middle of the night a while sure made a difference in how I feel today, human again, YEAH. Might even sneak in a little nap here in a bit.

I have cooked 2 large meals, each will serve us 2 or 3 times, so I have cooking out of the way for a couple days. A nice soup for lunches, and a casserole for dinner.

Will share the caserole with our friend who Al took to hospital last week, heart attack. I see him out doing his walking most every day. He stops in often to say hello and get a glass of water. Has really increased how long he can walk, but told me, this was a lot like WORK. Yep, but best work investment he could do and we keep encouraging him.

RUBY, sorry I missed you today, was not by much, drats! Not so lovely day here today, humidity is UP UP, but temps are down, so it could be a lot worse. Overcast, dull looking.

I am awaiting new smilies to be approved. Takes longer when submitted over weekend, but they will come.

MizT, it is so amazing that your neighbour is already home and up and around... I think he needs a dog to walk, or something to make it less like work and more like pleasure.

MizT you are so organised! Unfortunately the girls turn their noses up if the same dish is served twice in the same week. I need to start creating menus like Gails..
