How is your back now Heidi?

Feeling better now. The meds work well. When I woke up this morning, it was at a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. 10 is actually blacking out from the pain.

Still awfully painful then.Glad that the meds work quickly and you can get on with life.
The sun is just starting to come up here,quite chilly outside but it will be another nice day after yesterdays rain.

Right now, the back is about a 5. Not where I'd like it to be, but improved.
We just had a short, but nasty, thunder boomer go over. Very heavy rain with it. It's almost over now.... it lasted about 15 minutes.

Sigh, morning rush is about to start and I haven't had a chance to do the puzzles! Drat. Maybe later.

I have to leave for a Lion's Club meeting shortly. So I'd better get off the pooter, and get cleaned up.

Nola, glad your eye is doing better. My hubby once had a nasty eye injury. He got punched directly in the eye by a 2 year old fist. He was dressing Dylan and when Dylan put his arm in the sleeve, he got hubby right in the eye. Ended up with a torn cornea. Doctor gave him medicine and put in a contact to protect it for a few days. He could not describe how bad the pain was, that was how bad he said.

Heidi, too bad about the baby bird. I hope you have better luck next time. Hope your back and tummy are feeling better soon. Have a good time at you lion's club meeting.

Suzanne, tell D that I said weeds (rabbit food) is good for him and he should eat more of it.

Suzanne, setting a good example for the kids got my hubby eating veges for the first time in his life!

Nola, Vici is the one digging the trenches. I am the one counting days how many days left of school. 7 more days 'til "no more papers, no more books, no more student's dirty looks."

Tami and Suzanne..... I am at the top of the food chain. I eat the things that eat the green stuff. Weeds, grass and rabbit food are for prey animals.

Back from my meeting. I got volunteered to be the club delegate to the state Lion's Organization. Oh, well. At least there are only 4 meetings a year, and they're only 30 minutes drive away.

Zusy, never mind the not so long ( BTW the Countdown: 4 weeks 2 days),
This coming weekend is a long weekend..and it's the annual June Longweekend Jarrahdale Retreat Weekend.. Staying in Cottages in the Hills..
and here is me.. with a Cold

Busy day here.. off to do stuff, lots of running around and grocery shopping!! No rest for the Wicked (Witch of the West)!!

The bbq was fun Julie. I don't get to see my nephews that often as they live out of town. We always have a good time. It is hard to believe they were the little boys who had a sleepover at my house when I was a newlywed. We went bowling and had pizza for dinner. The next day they helped me make breakfast and told me that I was a cool aunt. The oldest is getting married in 3 months.

Getting late here - and an early morning tomorrow. Tami, you must be in bed by now with school tomorrow.

Heidi, so sad to hear about the hatchling. Better luck next time!

I hope everyone who is not feeling well today will feel better tomorrow!

They say "Third time's the charm", Julie. The first time the eggs weren't fertile. The second time they hatched at least. I am hoping that the third time, the parents raise the babies. Gouldian Finches are supposed to be hard to raise. Not a finch for beginners.

I need to water the poultry, feed the dogs and Survivor, then off to bed. I'll check in before going to bed.

Earlier today my post must have got lost in space. do not see one in forever. It was a good, informative, comical, entertaining post too. so sad you have to make do with this one.

....Have not read anything, but did want to Thank each and every one for the birthday wishes and to let you all know that I had a wonderful trip to Las Vegas with family and friends,,,,,much fun and great weather...however I have just heard on the news that a mother/daughter were kidnapped just ten minutes from my house, on a route that I often travel.....it seems that there was a traffic accident and then these two were transported elsewhere under the guise of finding help...I'm off to await news...but it most likely won't come until tomorrow... Please keep this mother/daughter in your thoughts and prayers for a safe return to their family....Thanks....
The midnight hour is approaching and I must get to bed for some shut-eye so I can add to my sleep catch up process,,,,see easy for any further explanation on lack of sleep and greetings...more later...Peace.
