Good morning/evening dear ones...just popping in from my dad's computer. Meeting Katitude, Mr. Katitude, Cedric and Keith in a few hours. Found out that there is no wifi at the restaurant - - so everyone will have to settle for pictures posted on our pages after the event.
Hope everyone is doing well. Sorry about the bird, Heidi. I'm afraid that's all I can remember at this time. Hugs to all!

PS - my dad was on R & R in Sydney during WWII and LOVED Australia and the people there. So he has been doing an atrocious accent for me since I've arrived! He's going to be 89 and thinks it's pretty authentic, ha-ha!

Good Mean Sudokuland.

I am having coffee, need it to wake up today.
Have a cup with me, won't you?

After a bit of sunshine mid afternoon yesterday, we are forecast only a 60% chance of rain today. On our trip yesterday, local roads were flooded again. On our more scenic route, we crossed other creeks that were out of banks, running swift and muddy . So much rain, so suddenly, with ground already saturated. Do wish I could share with some needing water.

June, Richard didn't get a chance to do any sightseeing during the hours of daylight. They arrived in Cape Town at 10:30 in morning had to get to their hotel, freshen up and have something to eat and be ready for their first meeting by 13:00. Didn't finish until 19:30 after it was dark. This set the timetable for the time he had there, wall to wall meetings, though their hosts did take them out for a drive around on the Thursday evening but it was so dark they couldn't see much. One thing Richard did comment on was the difference in the areas shown on TV and the actually shantytowns. He noticed the Shanties stretching many miles on his trip to and from the airport.

Good Maen, everyone! I'm just dropping in to invite any and all of you to attend the Sudoku meet in Florida in July in honor of Fiona!! We haven't picked a restaurant or time yet, but the gathering will take place on Friday, July 24 in Daytona Beach. Let me (or Kathy from Valrico) know if you can join us. Kathy and I plan to stay over, and I have a travel consultant who is trying to find me a condo/house for a 3-day rental. I plan to make a mini vacation out of this! If anyone would like info on accommodations, just let me know - I'll be glad to share!! Have a great day!!!

Everybody. I haven't read any posts yet, except Jane's directly above. Very tempting invite. And my schedule is open. Hmmmmmmm.

Back is hurting a lot again today. But I haven't had my meds yet, either. Countdown to next epidural: 4 weeks from today.

Now if the rain would only stop, and it would dry up enough to mow. But I shouldn't complain. The pastures are growing, and the cattle and sheep have plenty to eat.

Heidi - I saw your post, and all I have to say is "Hop off that fence, girl!" Pamper your back and get your tail on a plane for Florida in July! Maybe you can write it off as a medical expense: salt water does wonders for bad backs!

Jane, if I do make it, I'll drive, not fly. It would only be a 14 hour drive.... easy in one day. My problem is getting my idiot husband to take care of the critters.

My truck is comfy. I regularly do long drives without a problem. I also collect old time radio shows, and love to listen to them while driving. It makes the time go quickly and pleasantly. I look forward to long drives as time to myself.
