Just stopping in to say good night. I have an early morning and spend most of the day outside. It only reached 94 degrees today. That's 34 celsius for those down under.

The next two weeks look to be a bit crazy and not too much time to myself, so I will be a bit absent from the site. Hello, Heidi, Gail, CynB, Suzy, Broni, MizTricia, Suzanne, Brenda, June, Bean, Stella, Bobbi, Tami the T, V Viv, V Vici, Becky (when you're able to visit here), and all those I have forgotten! Please forgive my poor memory.

Hi All....We have been experiencing some of those heavy thunder boomers here, hail and all accomnied a little heavy rain...but nothing will compare to the rain we had Saturday....five inches in just a couple of hours....I thought the retention bay behind my house was going to overflow, but it did its job beautifully....all was good in the end...no problems like MizT's tree falling or anything dangerous, just a little worry.
I spent the day and big bucks at the dentist office today.....I'm sure glad my daughter is a Hygienist...the professional courtesy I received really helped....and it seems that that was just the beginning of the work and the money...lol...However...I must say that this guy was good...no pain was felt, and he listened when I said what I wanted....I like that from medical professionals!!!!

The puppy story made our 10 oclock news tonight. It was a cute puppy.

More rain headed our way. next time I start talking about attracting a bit of rain, will someone remind me what happened this time? Now you know I do not like overnight t storms, but seems the severe ones will go east of us.

I've been chatting with my neighbors (both across the street & next door). Missed a few posts, hope all stays well. This is the first day (in 5 or 6) that we didn't have afternoon T-storms (sorry MizT--I hate them too, especially when the power goes out) Gotta talk to Darrell about that generator!!! TTFN!! Hello lovely SA8 people - I missed the 10,000th post - congrats Heidi. I saw it was coming up this AM but just had time for a quick read and off out again.
As well as having a sick mother and MIL in the last few weeks, I have been catching up on some movies. I never go to the movies but one of my friends, a former work colleague, is finally child-free on Tuesdays so we have been to the movies - have seen Angels & Demons, Night at the Museum 2, I love you, Man and today The Hangover. She goes to see these films before she lets her teenage (14) daughter see them and she won't be seeing the last two. Although The Hangover was hilarious in parts and I love you, Man had it's good points, the humour was inappropriate for a 14yo. Anybody else seen them? Next week - The Proposal with Sandra Bullock. Still can't wait for Harry Potter though.
Hubby just got home, better make him a coffee and have a chat - I'll be back.

Not here AGAIN. I'm researching eclipses at the moment. 4 kids from that class are on behaviour programs right now. I thought that was a lot. I'm told you don't have a really bad class until it takes you 10 minutes after the class to fill them all in! Gasp!

Broni, I have no idea what is going on anywhere! My whole world has turned into vectors, the solar system, reactive metals.... oh, and today I watched while a class dissected fish! ewewewew!!!

Good morning all! Strange weather here lately. Thunderstorms, then hail, then clearing up only to have heavy fog roll in. The thunder stopped in time for Brendan's soccer game. One of the other mom's said she got enough hail that her hubby stayed home to shovel it! During the game, the fog rolled in and we could hardly see anything. Brendan got hurt with a dirty slide tackle and he's going to the doctor this morning. One thing he doesn't need is to get hurt playing summer soccer!

All of us still have remnants of the cold. Jerry had to go to the dr yesterday because his gave him an ear infection. Meghan was feeling terrible when she left, but she brought lots of cold medicine with her. I haven't heard from her since she landed in Zurich and was heading out into the city to explore. She should be in Istanbul by now. She's there a couple of days before the conference starts so she's planning on staying in a hostile the first two nights. Hopefully, I'll hear from her soon.

Stella, I hope Brendan is OK, do let us know what doctor said. That is strange weather with hail enough to shovel!
