Good Morning SA8.
Cold and raining here, hope it clears soon. Having friends with three kids under 4yo over for a BBQ lunch. Think we will be eating inside.
Nola, shame you had to work, hope you do not get a cold too.
Zusy, hope your cold is improving today.
Heidi, you are making my mouth water, yum.
Looks like I missed Suzanne, Tami and Brenda hope the migrain has improved.
Yes prefer Brunch, not a good morning person. Poached eggs, bacon, mushroom, grilled tomatoe and fresh tiger loaf bread with fresh brewed coffee.

My last post ended in 60. I just didn't have enough to say to hog the TOPP. I know, I know... when has that stopped me before?

Heidi, I agree with you. I have a timer on my phone and the phone rang for over 4 minutes with no one answering. I was calling a store by my mom's house, which is about 25 minutes from me. I was going to have her pick something up for me and did not want her going if they did not have it in stock. I am trying to surprise hubby, but I may have to take him with me.

Hi All....I'm a bit teary eyed at the moment...I've been watching a Father's Day tribute that my son did for my Sully on Face book...very touching and well done. The dreary weather isn't helping much, nor much of the drama going on around here...however life goes on.
Interesting topic...breakfast foods..hmmmm.
I enjoy whatever I had that was especially good for dinner the night before...I.E. Shrimp Scampi, Spaghetti, Steak...you get the idea...but a real breakfast food fave would have to be French Toast covered in powdered sugar and apples, and add a crisp rasher of bacon....hmmmmm...doesn't get much better for me.
Have a great week ahead...Rola....Have a wonderfully exciting trip to China and come back full of good tales to share.....oh yes, pictures too....Take care all...I care!

Breakfast: I like yoghurt and fruit, Cereal/Muesli basically what I have now.
Don't care for bacon and eggs first thing!!
When we used to have bottled (as in Glass) milk with the ittle bit of cream on top (back in the dark ages). Yummmm to get the cream on the cornflakes.
In winter Mum would heat the milk, and pour warm milk over the cereal.

all!! Been playing sofa spud (couch potato) today, watching t.v. and not doing much else. I caught about a 1/2 hour nap watching History International Channel on Dish Network. They were doing something regarding Napoleon & his invasion of Russia. They found over 3,000 mummified bodies (EEEWWW)there and were trying to figure out what killed them. It was interesting, but before I knew it, my body got lower & lower on the sofa!!

MizT: I am SO sorry you missed the quilt show!!!! You were so excited about it. We have our annual arts & crafts show here next weekend. Darrell said he will take me on Friday when they start. It is from Fri-Sun next weekend. Last year I went to Friday's & Saturday's shows. My bellydance friend Johnette wanted to go last year, so we did!! It is always lots of fun and I usually buy a few items.

Breakfast - normally I have Scottish Oat Cakes with raspberry honey from Tassie on them. Yum! If the grandies are here - it's either pancakes with maple syrup or Croissants (or 'sonts' as Chloe calls them)
Favourite - I just love going to those big all you can eat breakfasts at hotels and will fill up on Bircher muesli, and bacon, scrambled eggs mushies, and tomatoes (NO baked beans or black pudding, Brenda) - but that's not very often. Best breakfast I ever had was at the Manly Pacific Hotel in Sydney (in the early nineties before the owner arranged for his wife to be killed!!!)

We just had ANOTHER Thunderboomer here! I had to trank both Dennis AND Hollie this time. Poor old Hollie was shaking like a leaf. Hollie was a 10 to 11 year old taken from a puppy mill when it was shut down. I believe that she is either Willow's mother or grandmother.

Greetings Everybody...
Breakfast...my most favourite meal of them all...
I loved being in China because there was always a porridgy soup concoction, fresh fruit and noodles for breakfast along with the usual fare.
I LOVE Bircher muesli and if I'm not too tired I prepare some for myself before I go to bed...it is best if it is left overnight..right now I am wishing I had made the effort last night. I use fresh apple juice on mine. YUM, YUM, YUM....
If I am being a real glutton I like to follow that up with toast topped with bacon, eggs, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes fresh spinach leaves and if you REALLY insist you can throw on a slice or two of smoked salmon!!
Naturally you have to wash that down with lots of hot coffee [and if you have room a slice of toast with orange/lemon/lime marmalade]

This talk has made me hungry!
Time for coffee and some toast.... have been sitting in bed all morning with coffee and the Sunday paper...couldn't get the Age sudoku out so will need to do it here...

Afternoon all!

WARNING - INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGE TO FOLLOW
Let me start with it is raining, followed by the need for the swishing thing to be filled a few times to get some clothes clean for next week. Now, the usual routine under those conditions is to wash the bare minimum - school uniforms, unmenntionables, and a few work clothes.

BUT, my mother and my husband decided to help while I was sleeping off a headache. I now have piles of wet clothes with nowhere to hang them and a teeny tiny dryer... The rest of the day will be spent filling doorways, drying racks, and then the backs of kitchen chairs etc until I find somewhere to put all of this stuff!

Okay, vented now. It was lovely of them to try to help me. The irony is that none of the school clothes made it into their first efforts! Oh well, love them heaps for trying.

Suzy: Feel better after venting about the laundry?? We had rain AGAIN today. Cleaned house before hubby went to work, after feeding my dog, I went to get her bowl and she dashed into the house (with FILTHY dirty paws), and down to the garage door. Had to clean the floor AGAIN!!! She got yelled at so loud, I hope the neighbors didn't hear!!! I was so mad, she's lucky I didn't chase after her!!!

My back is hurting.... a lot. I also have a headache. The back will feel better in a few days, after I have my epidural pain block on Wednesday morning.

How are YOU feeling, Suzanne?

Nope, she didn't!! The funny thing is my dog's name is Heidi too!! She's a shepherd mix...very sweet, but when we got her, she was a rescue with some issues...she wouldn't go into a doghhouse, nipped at me when we first got her. She's been ours for 6 years and she is very protective of us.

Heidi; feeling tired, but ok otherwise. Insomnia has been rearing it's ugly head...3 nights of lousy sleep tend to make me cranky, that's why I'm glad Darrell is on o.t. tonite!!
