I think pets and kiddies should be brought into homes everyday, it really seems to light that flickering spark of memory that is dwindling in some of our elders.
Lovely story Cyn.

Good Maen Sudokuland! I am not just getting up here at 9 am, been busy. I think I have answered all my birthday greetings. If you did not get one, I must not have done a good job, consider your self thanked anyway.
Today I have the task of putting away a LOT of canned and boxed goods. I did not do it when we got home yesterday, 2 reasons. I was tired and it was my birthday. Refused to do ffuts on my birthday hehehe. Buying them was enough.
Al and I had a very nice lunch out, and the key lime pie was every bit as good as i remembered. Just too rich for a whole slice and he did not do his part in eating his half of the pie. He ate way to much lunch hehehe. Did i say this before? Sounds familiar.
Tomorrow is the quilt show with friends, that should be nice. AND daughter and a friend say a package and a card are in the mail, so birthday celebration will continue further. I think I like a birthday week hehehe.
OK I have typed my fingers to the bone, and sat as long as the back side will allow.
Hugs to all and have a good day or night.

Thanks Heidi, a long sleep and some painkillers have helped a lot. Sitting here quietly doing nothing much is helping too.

Good morning all! Busy trying to get everything done before heading out tomorrow at 6am. Heading back to LI for my niece's graduation party. My sister is going crazy because the rain has been torrential. She was able to move it in a hall in town, but now everything has to be brought there.

Hello, Everyone! I don't have time to read comments. I just thought I would pop in and wish all of you a good day and a great weekend! So far all is well, but grandies have exposed us to the flu. We'll be picking up prescriptions for Tamiflu today and crossing our fingers. I'll pop in again when I have time. Take care and celebrate every day!

That is nearly always the case Nola, underlying problems on top of swine flu. As with al these 'flus' the weakened will succumb more easily than the healthy.

Morning all!
I have finished my prac - which you think would mean I would have more time in her. Wrong!
Four problems - my internet connection has gone wacko and keeps dropping out; my assignment still has to be written, and quickly; my cold is getting worse instead of better; AND (this one is the good news), my mother has come to visit! She will be here for about 2 weeks I think.
I have read the comments but am worried that if I don't post this quickly my connection will be gone again.... love to all!

Nola, I think Suzanne meant solid-colored t-shirts.
Cyn, enjoyed the story about the little boy at the nursing home. Several years ago I took Mitchell and Dylan to visit my friend's grandmother for halloween. She wanted to stop in. I put the kids in their costumes and we went over. Mitchell was about 6 and Dylan not quite 2. Grandma, and everyone else, got a kick of seeing the kids in their costumes. They were the hit of the halloween party.
I don't remember what else I wanted to say. CRAFT has set in from too much time in the sun.

Just calling in quickly - a few things to do then off to my sons place this afternoon. Looking forward to seeing them, it has been two weeks but school hols start next week and they're all lined up for a sleepover at Nanny's.
Wish I could take them all to the Dubbo Zoo like June has this weekend with Lauren. That'd be fun.
