It seems that SA7 is getting old and slow. It is time for a new page. Welcome to SA8.

Hello all.
Good luck getting a camera to suit you Tami. The choice is huge, try asking them what they recommend for your needs.Half the things on our camera are never used but it does take good pix that I can enlarge and print without loss of quality.
Cyn..what a trying time for you all. With any luck, your Mum probably wont remember the attack. The centre may come up with something like moving the offender to a secure area if it has happened more than once,or his Dr can change his meds. That is the most usual action taken.

Heidi I get mixed up with who said what all the time and have to keep jumping back to look to see who it was.
Had a bit of nice news today. My niece and her family from Perth are coming over for a holiday in November. They will be staying in our area for 2 weeks. (Her parents live about a mile from me) I will get to meet my grand niece and nephew for the first time.

OH I never get the nbames wrong, about who said what hehehe. If I am in doubt, I just say " someone said". Works for me.

Oh the humidity is soo much better now, lowest we have had in ages. Temps are a bit lower too and we have a nice breeze. I could handle summer if it were all like today! One Pm and still in the 80's, yep, nice day today.

Heidi, how can we confuse you? I am youger, smarter, better looking and I live in Florida. Suzanne is older and lives in Utah, the other side of the country. How can that confuse you?

CynB, I do hope things work out for your mum and MIL. I hope they can stop the guy who is hitting people. Brenda, I know you will enjoy the visit from you niece. I am sure you will all have a great time.

Thanks for all the advice about cameras. I am just looking for a simple one. I had a Hewlitt-Packard that my brother bought me but it was getting to be time to upgrade. Mitchell just made the upgrade time move a little quicker.

Good mAen everyone: As for Heidi's comment about TTT & I confusing her, we confuse EACH OTHER!!!! And yes, we like it that way...
Cyn: I'll pray for your mum and MIL...keep me posted honey!
TTT: Yes, you are younger and MIGHT be smarter than me BUT, I think as far as the looks go, we're BOTH stunning!!! On the camera issue, the Kodak EasyShare is VERY user-friendly...I've had mine for over a year. The memory card fits right into the computer/laptop and it is a slim digital...

I think I overdid it. I've been out on the tractor moving more hay. The ground is not smooth. I just had to take a painkiller. I wouldn't have had to do this but when IH claimed to be moving the hay off the field, he was only moving it to a different part of the field. The hay was still sitting in the middle of the hay field, damaging the grass under it. I have now moved 68 rolls off the hay field. Some is in the barn, but my back decided that I was done.

Greetings SA folk...
Haven't time to read but wanted to post the travelogue..

Early start for Rola today - departing her hotel at 7:00am - taking bamboo rafts down the Lijiang River. Then they will set out to the old village of Xingping. After lunch a bicycle ride in the countryside and then more rafting [different type of scenery] on the Yu Long River or she has an option… just rest in the café and shops along the Western Street. I wonder what she’ll do…I know what I would do but then she is younger than me!! After dinner, around 9:40sudoku time, she will be off to see acclaimed director Zhang Yimou’s live show “YinXiang Liu San Jie”

That itinery sounds Bean. I'd enjoy either option. Does she have a translator with her, or does she know something of the language?

Bean, thanks for the updates. Rolanda's trip sounds fabulous.
Suzanne, if you are getting confused, it must be a sign of your age.

Heidi, Rolanda is traveling with family. They are visiting a family member who lives in China, and if I remember correctly, his Chinese wife. So I would say they have a translator and wonderful tour guides.

Good morning all you lovely caring SA people. Thanks for your support re my Mum and MIL. I feel guilty after what Broni said she went through - what a wonderful daughter you were, Broni.
MIL is to be sent home today unfortunately. Typical of public hospitals. Col's step-father is 80, nearly deaf and, let's face it - a man, so I hope all will be well. We live 55kms from her across the other side of the city - not easy to help much from here. We do what we can. Col's sisters live near her but don't put the effort in that we would were we closer
Going to see Mum soon. It is true, as a few people have commented, she does forget what happened which is good but it's still a worry. Many alzheimers sufferers can be violent, more often the men but I saw a woman (an elderly nun!) bite an entertainer who would not hand over his guitar to her.

Brenda - enjoy you time with your WA relatives.
Nola - yes, changing the offenders meds may help.

We had a visit from a Qld Govt 'Climate Smart' person today. For $50 she went through our power usage, gave advice on how to cut down, replaced light bulbs (up to 15) with 'green' ones, replaced an inefficient shower head, supplied an energy monitor and a thermometer to check hot water, fridge and freezer temps. Well worth the money! Took her an hour.

Suzanne - we don't need to PM you. You gave TTT's age away by admitting yours and telling us that she's 3 yrs younger. Sorry, TTT your secret is out!
Mum was cheerful today. One of her bruises looks terrible but she seems unaware of it!
Broni - get back to work, it's EOFY!!!

Hi all, It was supposed to be about 23*c here today but somebody forgot to tell the weather! It was a bit cool on the bowling green this morning. The sun finally came out this afternoon.
There was a discussion on age a year or two back and I wrote them all down in a book that I keep for computer notes. I came across it the other day and it is quite interesting!
Cyn, pleased you had a nice visit today.

Hi everyone, hope you're all well.
CynB, so sorry to hear about your troubles - I guess there's not much to be done, but hope things work out as well as they can.
At the moment I find it hard to think about my parents without getting upset - our situation just seems to get worse all the time. Well, I guess everyone deals with the same issues - it just gets pretty depressing at times.
Anyway, must push off and fling food - Rob is on his way home, so fare-well, friends! Have a great evening. :)
