Good afternoon all. I am at the library again using their computer. I was told 3-5 days so I should be up again tomorrow. I have been having withdrawal symptons not having my computer. At least I can go to the library. When hurricane Wilma hit 4 years ago, I had no power for a week and don't remember how long I was without internet. It didn't bother me as much then, I didn't know all you guys. Now I am lost without my computer.

This week's camp field trip is to the movies. The 4 younger groups go on Wednesday and are supposed to see Ice Age 2. The 4 older groups (one is mine) goes on Thursday. I was told we are seeing the new Harry Potter. I hope that is true. I will be a happy camper (happy counselor)

I got my new camera on Friday. I ordered it online. It was originally $249 and was on sale for $118. It is an Olympus. Now I am trying to figure out how to work it. Still have to install the software on my computer and then I can download pictures. We went to the boxing matches last night. I got free tickets. Mitchell enjoyed the boxing, but enjoyed the ring girls more. He is all boy.

I will be back in the next day or two, whenever my connection is back. Hope all is going well. I will catch up on the reading from home.

I slept in again this morning which much have affected my brain because I can't remember what I was going to say. Let me think, Heidi's hay is safe from the rain, Vici has tonnes of rock moved and more still to go (wow!), Tami got her camera but not the internet (yay, boo!), Suzanne's friend is going to be in harm's way (sigh), MizT is quilting as she finally has the thread (yay!) and nothing to read, um, um, um, Stella has been watching soccer, Bean got shoes on, um, no brain is dead. Can't think of anything more.

The kids are going to the movies today. Ebob is going to see Terminator 3, Ally is going to see Hannah Montana. I am going to drink coffee...

Suzanne, yes, do pass on any updates from Doc. Wonderful they can e-mail, so much faster than the old fashioned snail mail of past wars. Was Desert storm the first war with e-mail, or th elast war without? I know I had a computer then, but do not remember having e-mail.

TAMI, hope you do get to see the HP movie, but my hubby would vote for Ice Age ll, he is already looking for it on the internet.

Rolalogue July 13th. Another day to spend checking out the sights [and sites..] of Beijing with plenty of time to ‘continue shopping’. They will visit the hutongs (the traditional Beijing neighbourhoods, which are a maze of small alleys), Tientan People’s Park and the Pearl Market. In the evening they will take the night train to Daqing.
...‘Again we will be sleeping in soft bed berths.’....
I wonder what the hard beds are like...

UPDATE: LOL...
My left foot...hmm... sounds like a movie title...is still back to normal. My right foot is still swollen [only mildly in comparison to Friday night] and the red rash is still faintly evident. The places it was oozing from [?scratched in my sleep] are still scabby and very sore! Still wearing thongs... feel like a dork in winter...

GAIL...the orange top bins are both empty!!
Last night I put 6 bins out for collection... all full. Lachie was sick of putting the rubbish out by the time he finished...each time he turned around I had another box for him to take out..LOL...
Very convenient the neighbours being away and leaving me the use of their 3 bins!!
Thumbs up on the curtains from everybody.

Manners..... Morning everyone, I haven't had time to come on line over the weekend to post on here but have read up on all you have been up to.

Update on my friend. After a real scare on Thursday, they thought she had developed a blood clot on her lung, after a scan it turned out to be fluid, still not good but better than a clot. She is still dependant on a machine to breath, but not to the same extent. According to her daughter who came to dinner last night she is puffed up with fluid (I don't like the sound of that) but is fighting the infections. She has now been in intensive care for 12 days. Fingers are still crossed that she will recover.
