It seems that SA7 is getting old and slow. It is time for a new page. Welcome to SA8.

I figure that it's better than nothing, which is what I've had in Kentucky. Out in slightly deeper water we should be able to find a few shells. I'm just stoked over being able to see underwater for the first time in my life. I love the sounds and smell of the ocean.

Heidi...so even if there isn't many fish or shells to see,you will still enjoy being by the ocean, away from the farm having a break with some great friends.Oh,how I wish I could go too.

If anybody wants to come to Bundaberg(not that there is much to see here)you would be very welcome.
I have a spare room.
We are home to Bundaberg Rum and our city is called "The Gateway to the Barrier Reef.
Many have said Lady Elliot Island has some of the best snorkeling in Aust, and is only a short boat trip out.

I hope you are not worried about the nasty PM.I was going to stop posting awhile ago by something said but I may have taken it the wrong way.I came to the conclusion that it was only me that would be affected.By the way, it wasn't on SA8.

The paper is written, I am just waiting to hear about it. You see I wrote it in 3 days while I had my really bad cold. I usually spend at least 3 weeks on a paper!

Stella is busy, Suzanne is cool, and MizT used Word 2.0 (I used DOS and Wordperfect! Oh and dot matrix printers!), Heidi has eggs, Tami's beastie boys are looking forward to snorkelling, and Nola is spoiling the residents with naps in the sun! Did I get it all?

Not really Nola! It's really BAD, but it's a pass/fail paper, no grade, so I'm hoping it makes a pass.... I had a deadline of the end of the month so had no choice.

Which reminds me... I slept in this morning and before I even had a chance to make a cup of coffee the phone was ringing - Mum was trying out facebook. Well, she was going to and was asking me how to log on. She logged on, posted a couple of comments, found some farkle chips, said, right, that's enough for now, and logged off!

And another Mum anecdote. Mum acts tough. She loves wild birds and so hates cats because they chase the birds. Is insistent about how much she hates cats. Cats are close to the worst thing on the planet.... Yesterday she was home with her new dog when a cat came to visit. Her scary new dog didn't chase the cat away, he played with it! Mum made a couple of attempts to find the owner of the cat, no luck. She put it outside - wasn't having a CAT inside overnight! Ugh! Turns out she let it in to sleep inside because it was too cold outside! She still has it inside and is still trying to find it's owner. So much for tough!

Good morning lovely people.
Before I forget, Nola - I think we have all been put off by nasty comments and taken them personally. Try not to let it worry you and keep posting on Easy - I do - just to let them know they didn't scare me away. And there's still lots of lovely people there like the ones Heidi and Tami are going to meet at Fionafest - so excited for you all.
Heidi - I'm sorry that someone singled you out for abuse by PM. We still love you.
Gail/Suzy - I love that ripple cake done tiramisu style. Yummmmm!
MizT - Word 2.0 was my first experience with Word as well. I remember going to training with some other work colleagues, all younger than me and thinking that in my early 40's I might be 'too old' until I looked around and realised that I was understanding it better than most of them. Yee Hah for maturity!!

Suzy, thanks for the great review of the last few pages!

Nola, if I could, I'd be there in a flash. Hubby and I started scuba lessons a couple years ago, but couldn't finish when he had cataract surgery and was banned from the water. Then I had terrible sciatica. Not to be outdone, hubby got it too. I think we've given up on the thought of diving, especially knowing the trouble we had with weight belts. On the other hand, snorkeling around the Great Barrier Reef sounds SUPER!

Heidi, I'm sorry someone sent you a nasty PM. I guess we can say that at least the person didn't post it on Easy for all to see. Might it have been the person who used to occasionally visit here, then disappeared from the site for a while, but is not back? That person really attacked me on an earlier version of this page at one time, and I felt horrible. Just come here and vent and know we all love you and know you wouldn't knowingly do something hurtful.

Oops, note to self: you must remember to proofread. Two post back was supposed to say, "but is NOW back" Sorry for the confusion it must have lead to.

Must run for now! Hope to be back in a while. Here's another of my new avatars. (Thanks, June, but though I love stained and beveled glass, I did not make these windows. They are pictures of windows that I have found with the help of "Mr. Google."

Good Morning..

The storms in Perth, seems to be easing!! Lots and lots and lots of rain, hail, thunder, lightening, windy. No damage at my place.
20 years ago on the 19th July, evening, it was a lot like that.. the boy was born that evening!!
Coming in to land at Perth Airport on Saturday Evening was a tad rough !!

In China.. we left a trail of destruction behind us..

Flooding in the south after we left,
Earthquake in Kunming a couple of days after we were in the area,
( building collapse in Shanghai just before we arrived),
a bridge collapse somewhere where we had been,
a Storm in Harbin after the plane took off - to Hong Kong,
and a Typhoon heading for HK as we took off to head for Perth.

Hi Cyn, I haven't tried the cake yet but everyone saying how good it is is making my mouth water! BTW topsiders, for biscuits read cookies.

Hi Julie, I think we have all had nasty reactions on these pages, which has greatly reduced since membership was introduced. Still happens, but nowhere near as often. And snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef is AMAZING. I was one of those people who couldn't use a snorkle. I had panic attacks after about 30 seconds. Then I went to the reef... it was so beautiful that I didn't have a single panic attack and almost missed the boat back!

Hi Rolanda, so glad you missed all of those events in China! Boy would they have spoiled the trip! I have friends who were in Tiananmen Square a few days before the 'incident'... trips to China are definitely not boring.

I think it was Heidi who asked... the paper was just about the school I did my practicum at. It seemed to be practice for preparing to work at schools.

Nola, I think the coast in Daytona is mostly sand but I have never been there. I don't snorkel alot. I tend to panic even though I am a good swimmer. The first time I went snorkeling I was admiring the pretty silver fish a few feet away. It wasn't until I was back on the boat that someone told me they were barracuda.

I have also been attacked, but on easy, not by pm. I don't go to easy anymore. Too many people I would rather not get into a conversation with. I am much happier on SA.
