Today has absolutely flown!
Have just returned home from a night at the theatre... went to see French & Saunders. I laughed until I cried! Their take on 'Mama Mia' was absolutely hilarious. This is their farewell tour... can't imagine a world without them entertaining us as a duo but it has been wonderful to see them work an audience as only Dawn and Jennifer know how. They have been entertaining us for 30 years... it isn't surprising that they seem like part of the family...

A DVD has been produced of this final show and it is something I must add to my collection. It has been a total sellout in Melbourne ... even the 2 or 3 extra shows that they scheduled.

A quick read through the last 4 pages. I have been shopping, lunch with daughters and picked up Laura so no time here.

Greetings friends, dropping in without reading the last 2 ;ages, to say HI and hope all are well. I am going to be busy for a bit. I am trying to learn a new eating program and starting some limited exercises. Boy trying to be healthy can take a LOT of time! My computer time is spent hunting recipes that fit, writing new ones, and reading and re-reading the book. Then I must also work in ffuts I have neglected for far too long. I will check in as I can. I will be back as usual soon, and perhaps a healthier and happier version of me, too.

Good luck on your quest MizT, I'm sure you will find what you are looking for and when you do you will have to share the recipes with us as I'm sure we would all like make new yummy healthy food.

I'm tempted to say I'd like to see the tongue-lashing PM, but also agree that you shouldn't dwell on it. You can only please some of the people some of the time. There will always be someone who takes offense at something you did or didn't do. Doesn't really matter, 'cause we all love ya!

Just thought I'd mention that the cardinal on this stained glass avatar is the state bird of Illinois. Saw one on our feeder this morning.

June, busy day for you! Have you finished all of the painting you've planned? I was imagining you up on a ladder painting and decided you were much fitter than I am.

Julie, I would love to see a cardinal at a bird feeder! I bet they are beautiful. The recipe is just layers of chocolate flavoured cookies and whipped cream, ending with cream, left overnight so the cream soaks into the cookies. Somehow even I didn't mess that up! Though I haven't tried anyone else's so maybe it wasn't as good as theirs...

I'm back from a day of running around. My truck is running (with new brakes) and will easily get me to Florida and back. I got all that donated dog food picked up and delivered along with the older girls. Now I need to crash with a nice glass of Koolade on the rocks, then do the feeding.

Julie... The Cardinal is also the State bird of Kentucky, as well as the team mascot for the University of Louisville.

Have just checked the radar and there is big storm heading out way. So I had best not waste time here and get outside before it hits! Yesterday was such a peculiar day... it was still 17 degrees [62F] when I was driving home - which is exactly why my grape vine never gets to be fully pruned... a couple of days like this and the sap starts to rise and that is that!!

At the risk of sounding like a social gaddabout... tonight I am going into the concert hall for 'An Evening With Patti LuPone And Mandy Patinkin' ... he has such a lovely voice. They will be doing a lot of the good old numbers from
