I can't believe I missed Broni's birthday!! I haven't been on the site much lately. I got myself a present... a CD containing 235 e-books! So I have been sitting at the pooter just reading during my free time.
My epidural is in 3 days.... and I need it. I just wish I could get MizT in there with me. When I finally started getting mine, I was at the point where I could stand up on my feet for 5 minutes, comfortably. After that, the pain hit. Bad. After being on my feet for 10 minutes, I would actually black out from the pain, if I didn't quickly get off my feet. Pain killers alone weren't cutting it any more.
I really hope you can get in for your epidurals before you get to that point, MizT.

Hi all, just got back from dropping Em off in Chelternham. We all went taking two cars to cope will all the luggage. Went out for a meal, after waiting over 30 minutes after ordering the meal it still hadn't arrived so I asked how much longer it was going to take. Turns out the waiter hadn't put the order through. The new waitress took our order again, gave us new drinks in no time at all our meal was delivered. To say the least it was delicious, so we had dessert which again were delicious. We asked for the bill only to be told that there was no bill because of the mistake. Wonderful meal for free (would have cost around £100) will definately go back there.

Morning all!
Still snuffling and coughing.
Great to hear from you MizT.
I passed on your comments to Ebob and she puffed up a bit. I poked her with a pin though and she's back to normal...

Zusy, we need to deflate their little egos occasionally. She did good and should be proud of herself, though.

HEIDI, I have not passed out, and hope I do not, that is a LOT of pain. but my BP shot up on occasion, and only thing I can think of is pain did it! I was trying not to take pain meds so much and rely on the muscle relaxers alone, but will take some of my own advise and remember to take it! YES, take me in when you go, they can do a twofer!

Morning folks... almost awake...
Off to have my 6th jab at the doctors. When I started this course of desensitising injections it seemed like an eternity until they would be finished [the week before Vici's arrival] and here I am...only 2 more after today!! Obviously
it isn't long before Vici arrives...

The newest batch of baby finches are doing great. I put their leg bands on yesterday. They are also really noisy when they're hungry. And I mean REALLY noisy. They sound like super loud squeak toys.

Good afternoon! Thinking of you all.
Suzy get well soon. Good on Ebob, but a bit of a scary situation.
Nice to see you drop by MizT. The weight loss sounds great and so good to have a diet that is improving your health. My sympathy with the back spasms. I have been there are they are no fun!
I got quite a bit of gardening done yesterday. All you garden workers were putting me to shame!

MizT well done on the weight loss. Hope the back pain is soon a thing of the past or bearable, I too know what it is like.
I went to the doctor's last week for one of those regular checks, so you can guess what one of the first questions to be asked... yep 'what are you going to do about your excess weight?' I shut the nurse up by saying that I had recently (in the last year) lost 28 pounds.

Hi everyone! Hope you're all happy and well!
MizT, just read your news - fantastic that you're losing so much weight and not starving on your new diet, but sorry that your back is causing you so much pain. Hope they can give you some help for that very soon. Take care of yourself. :)
Bean, are your de-sensitising injections helping you much?
Liz, glad you had a good birthday!
I'm sitting here being Lady Muck while Rob cooks my dinner - came home, saw what I'd been doing all day, and said "I'll cook!" I ain't complaining! I spent my day digging ditches around the house and painting the ... um, those boards at the bottom, can't think what they're called. They were replaced when work was done under the house, and we never got round to painting them - now they're done! (Not very neatly, I might add - quite a few slips and sloshes up the wall, but duzzen matter! It's done, and now I can get into fixing up the garden a bit (I've already bought some new plants) Unfortunately I'm now itching quite a bit, but maybe it'll clear up by tomorrow?
And now to eat that yummy dinner Rob's just finished cooking! Catch you all later. :)

Judy, enjoy your dinner. You must have worked like a Trojan to get all that work done... digging and painting.
BTW what are the ditches for?

Hi Brenda! The ditches are just so I can get at the boards that are below ground level - they have to be painted, presumably so they won't rot? It also looks much nicer now - the weatherboards are cream and the base boards and trims are a darkish green. I still have to give a second coat to two back walls, but they can wait a few days, till I recover a bit!
And now I must say Good Night ... falling asleep here - I'll talk to you all tomorrow. :)

Nola we will go back, the meal was that good. Nothing fancy but tasty. When they told us that our order hadn't been put through they said something about adjusting the bill, we expected maybe to get some free drinks not the whole lot for free. Trouble is it is about 120 miles from where we live so we cannot make it a regular venue.

We had the first snake yesterday in the yard since the weather has warmed up.Luckily Greg thinks it was a tree snake as it was light brown with a yellow underbelly,so they are harmless. That makes 70 snakes that we have seen on our place in 16 yrs(we keep count).

Glad the birthday celebration was enjoyed so much....but tat's.....Not my cup of tea, but enjoy yours.....that's what keeps our worlds so bright...we all add different bits of color and texture......keeps life interesting.
Bean, I do believe Gannie Mo was looking for that garden link that you attended over the weekend...she commented on easy, but I wasn't sure..perhaps you can catch it and help her out. See all on the flip side...have a great one! Peace.

I am back from my dental check up. The results are not pretty. I will need 4 crowns (the bottom center teeth) and a cavity filled on a back molar.
My dentist has thanked me in the past for helping put her 3 sons through college.

Just got the news that Patrick Swayze died. He was in a few of my favorite movies: Dirty Dancing, Ghost and Roadhouse. I know he was in a lot of others but those are the ones I have seen hundreds of times.
Since I don't see anyone on line and the TOPP is closing in, I am going to say goodnight. I will be back tomorrow.

Tami... he had quite a long, brave fight. He was an impressive actor and a fabulous dancer. At least we have his movies so his memory will not die.
