Yikes Brenda! That's a lot of money!
Stella, it's not great to be tired on your anniversary. Hopefully you will be able to celebrate.
Gail, have a great time. I'll miss you!
June, the dance troop did extremely well to make it to the Rock Eisteddfod final! I'll have to check out who won because one of the local schools was doing really well in that at one point.
Vici, hope your addition is finished soon. I'll cross a few things for you too...
Heidi, maybe when you've been married 30 years anniversaries become like birthdays... I hope you are just reacting to the cough you have had and it's not something new.
Bean, my garden next!
Mamacita, great TOPP!

MizT dropped in on the 8th. It looks like the chiropracter appointment she had that day didn't help. I wish they'd hurry up with her epidural!

Oh, yeah.... Judy... the swelling in the hand is almost gone. Almost. I still have kidney bean sized lump in the back of the hand, and it's still uncomfy to use, but the color is back to normal. Considering that it's been 6 weeks, I'm pretty sure that I did fracture a bone.

I have a Vet appointment tomorrow for 2 of my horses. The most important one is for my Morgan, Buddy. He and I have been nearly soul mates for the last 15 years. He was the perfect riding horse.... then both of our backs gave out at the same time. Since he could never be ridden again, I taught him to drive ( a buggy).
Right before I broke my leg 2 years ago, he broke his. Same leg. He's been retired ever since. Now that same leg is hurting him something fierce. I'm afraid that he has re-fractured it. The other horse is a Paint mare... Miss Kitty (I DID NOT name her). She has developed a tumor on a leg. Golf ball sized and shaped. It looks benign, though.

Suzy... it is physically impossible to sleep with that many dogs crowded around, or piled on top, all determined to wake you up. I think that there were 7 or 8 piled on top of the bed alone.

Afternoon all. Took MIL to bingo this morning but we did not win anything. We then took her hearing aides to get the wax removed as she could not hear anything. We are going to a local production of 'Cats' tonight. I had a Nana nap in the sun this afternoon. It was lovely!
Suzy there are two divisions of the Rock Eisteddfod, one with backdrops and the 'raw' which has a budget of $2500 and no backdrops. That is the one D1's school entered this year.

June, I found something that says the local school made the finals. I also found that they came second last year. I'm not sure what division they're in, but they won a stage crew award which suggests they were in the 'other' division to D1s school.

Hello everyone!
Warmish, but very windy today. The sun is shining, which is lovely - my jasmine has started flowering! Also some of my favourites have opened - ixias and sparaxis. I love this time of year when all the pretties start coming out - everything smells so nice!
Heidi, glad the hand feels better - it does sound as if something was broken.
Very busy at Bean's yesterday, digging in the dirt and pulling up weeds - indeed, "I think the answer lies in the soil!"
I seem to have caught the bug - spent all day in my own garden today - had to come in when it started getting dark! This post has been sitting unfinished for many hours, so will finish it before I trot down the street to do all the things I was going to do, but got side-tracked. But it does feel good to have done some "real" work! :)

Nola... I'm glad you slept. The body usually knows the best way to heal.
I'm back from the Vet's. I figured that Miss Kitty had a tumor on her leg. When the Vet saw it, he thought it was a condition called "proud flesh". In either case, it had to be surgically removed. It was perfectly round, and a little bigger than a golf ball. Once the Vet removed it, we checked it out. It was a tumor. It looked benign, so we didn't send it to the lab.
Buddy has a badly inflamed tendon. It's quite swollen and painful. His leg is now tightly wrapped and he's on anti-inflamatories and pain killers. Both horses will have to be kept up in their stalls for the next 3 weeks.

Good morning all! Just a quick stop because Ian has a soccer game this morning, about an hour away. It's been a busy week for soccer, this is his 4th game. Yesterday afternoon they played in the pouring rain and it was only 58F! We were drenched and frozen! Hopefully the rain will stop this morning. Brendan also has a soccer game later near NYC. I'm thinking of going if I can find the energy. If I do then I'll just keep going onto Long Island to visit my mom. Jerry's dad is coming tomorrow for a couple of days to assess what things need to be done and the supplies. Then he'll pick up my mil(visiting friends and relatives by their old house) and go to the wine country for a couple of days before coming back here for a week or so.
