Good maEn everyone!! Glad to see MizT here (briefly--Sorry about your back dear!! Feel better!!)
TTT: Glad I caught you today to say happy birthday!! I treasure our friendship!! You are a sister to me and I adore you to pieces!! I will call your hubby tomorrow!!! LOVE YA!!
To everyone else: BRRRR!! I hate the fact it got cold so fast!! We went from 82 for the high to 49 the NEXT DAY!!! Out came the turtlenecks & other warm stuff (from the cedar chest) BTW, banged my forehead with the lid as I was re-organizing it!! Have a small knot on my forehead, but fine otherwise. And thanks for the good wishes on the allergies/migraine. A great night sleep helps! Felt GREAT today!
Hello to T-Vaz & Brat (whoever you are!!)

have just returned from the doctor. Ultrasound normal... the sonographer said she could see signs of old trauma when she was scanning me. The ligaments are intact which is REALLY good...they take so long to heal! The X-ray showed up evidence of a small fracture of indeterminate age...old or recent. I have had numerous injuries to this foot. I do not recall the last X-Ray showing any signs of a fracture tho. The good news is it is nothing major and we will treat it as a severe sprain. I just have to keep as I have been doing and I'll get there. I am to keep off uneven surfaces and providing I wear boots with ankle support I should be safe in the garden... even a little spade work!!!
Consequently I am feeling pretty pleased with myself!!

I stopped off at my favourite local op shop on the way home... they had a great big bin of balls of knotting yarn with a sign on the outside 4 for a $1.00.... what a bargain. I have been wanting to get back into knitting for ages... once you would never have found me with knitting needles in my hands. Lachie put paid to that nearly 17 years ago when he nearly lost an eye and I haven't got around to getting back into it. Maybe I can knit a BEANIE for my visitor!!!

Good afternoon (well, it is here) Rolanda.
Bean - pleased the ultrasound was normal. Hopefully the pain will disappear soon and you'll be back to normal.
Hubby and son have just put son's garden shed up in our back yard/garden. He's moving to a unit so is storing his 'stuff' here for the moment. Oh joy! another shed!

Afternoon all!
Quick drop in. While I was reading I thought of lots of things to say and now I'm here at the bottom of the page I can't remember any of them. I blame the weekend!
Thanks to a wonderful school caretaker who went home with a six pack of VB, I was able to get Ebob's baseball gear out of the locked school. I got to Wollongong in time to see her warming up to pitch in her second game of the day. She was wearing cleats 2 sizes too big for her so was very glad to see me. Her warm up looked great, but as soon as they put a batter in front of her she lost the ability to throw straight. She still managed two double plays, with a lot of help from a very experienced player. The team won 2 out of 3 games, which happen to be the very first 2 games this team has won in the 3 years Ebob has been playing with them. One of the other teams is challenging the win though, something about 2 substantial pitchers. Who knows what it means and what the outcome will be? There are so many rules in baseball! I'm now off to get ready for my evening out with the girls... Probably catch you tomorrow!

Hi everyone.
Raining here at long last.
We have had enough of dust, bushfire smoke and heat to last us a while.
My poor garden is half dead but have been too busy to get out in it.
Hope everyone is fit and well.

So good to see you VV - wish you could be here more often - do miss you so!
It's been awhile since we've been treated to some Dag banter - good to see Broni and Gail are still in great form!
Cyn - We have a few boxes of Mike's youngest (Melissa) in our attic - really hoping it stays that way! I am big on getting rid of stuff, so I don't like collecting more junk - especially junk I can't throw out!

Hello Rolanda - looks like you made Vdv fly-by!
Thank you all for the wonderful b'day messages for Mike - we have a relaxing day planned. It's what he wants after working non-stop for months now. Melissa is up for the weekend and is making him a German Chocolate cake (frosting from scratch - yum!) and I'll be picking up his favorite Indian food (take-out) for dinner.
Hugs everyone!

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes. They really mean alot. I have not had time to wish everyone personally but I hope this works. As it is still saturday here, it is still hubby's birthday. We are meeting my parents tonight. They are taking us out for Chinese food for dinner.

Saturday detention went really well. The students were told that this was the last chance before they got suspended. If they had done their original after school detention for 1 hour, they would not have to give up 4 hours on saturday. If they misbehaved or caused me any aggrevation, they would get kicked out and be suspended. All 12 of them behaved, at least for the most part.

Morning all!
Waiting for a text or call to confirm whether or not Ally will be singing this morning. Looking out the window I'm thinking it will be a yes...
Bean, great news about your ultrasound.
Suzanne, I've managed to give myself a concussion hitting my head on a cupboard door. And I don't even need a shadow to trip.
Vici, I wish I was like you - I seem to accumulate STUFF. Drooling over the image of the chocolate cake....
Tami, I'm glad your detention day was not too bad.
Viv, I hope the rain lasts a while. We've just gone on water restrictions - and it hasn't stopped raining since.

Just got the call - singing is on. I'll wake up Ally in a few minutes.
David was luverly! And funny! He's a real ham. His stage musical background really showed, as did his father. There were moments where I wondered if he realised how much of his father he has in him. He is a little tubby, in fact his build reminds me of hubby at the same age. He told jokes about growing up with his father, imagine 'get to bed' in a Jimmy voice! He told jokes about his teenage rebellion (you know if you run fast your mother falls off very quickly). He told jokes about not getting any (how ironic that he has cabaret roots). He talked about how fantastic it was to be on Hey Hey it's Saturday and get to bang the gong. He introduced a song from Les Miserables by taking about 'stage envy' - standing in the wings and thinking 'their song is really cool, my song sucks, I wish I could sing their song. Well, I'm not in Les Miserables anymore so I'm going to sing it!' What a voice! He sang 'Bring him peace', though I'm not sure that's what it's called. Beautiful! And on the same night he sang 'Shout'. I think he could sing just about anything he put his mind to.

Forgot to mention our seats. Right in front of the stage! If he had had ear wax, we would have seen it! Luckily in the second row and not the first because the first was sprayed with sweat...

Hi everyone.
Overcast here and trying to rain but only a bit of drizzle now and then.
I should be sewing,
have two pair of hubbies work pants to take up.
His sister is coming over after work this arvo and hubby wants to learn how to make scones.
We have the outdoor wood stove going so he can make them in that.
Should we be using SA9? Not sure here.

Did anyone watch Hey Hey? the other night.
I am a big fan, have followed it since Daryl started on TV on his morning show on a Sat.morning originally.
I thought it went well, just like the old days.
Must remember to watch the 2nd one coming up.
